Prologue:
Jessica:
“We fight in the morning.” He said to me, this little boy who stood across from me not even to the age of twelve. However, I wasn’t there, my mind was on the battle that laid ahead of me. No, I wasn’t afraid or was I nervous; I just wanted to get it over and done with. I heard him leave at last, by the crackling of leafs and snapping of twigs. He was scared, many of them were, I could smell it on him more then ever; the boy only wanted comforting yet I could offer him none, and he was merely a boy sent to do someone else’s biddings.
I sharpened my sword, hearing it hum is deathly tune every time I moved the stone over its edge. The hilt of the sword colored black and its blade shining silver, this blade wasn’t like the rest, on the blade it had its own cuts already made into the blade. This would enable me to move faster and not be held back by the solid weight of the blade itself. My fighting style called for me to move with ease and lightness, this sword was made for just that.
Time passed slowly, all I could do now was wait and wait. After sharpening my sword to perfection, I put the sharpening stone away and returned the sword to its sheath. I tried to relax, resting against the trunk of a large oak tree; its scent filled my mind. Silently meditation pulled me deeper into my mind away from the world where I could be alone for the time being until the war began.8
I was woken to the scent of fear but an even stronger scent made me jump up and take off running; it was the scent of rage, anger, and hatred. I was furious now, no one had come to get me to a wake me for the battle how I would make them pay after the battle. As I came running down the hill soldiers started calling my name as if I was some sort of hope for them. I could feel their energy lift up and their fear fade away in a very strange way I was the one person they needed to see not anyone else.
Unsheathing my sword I stood at the center of the field and waited as two soldiers approached me and nodded their heads. “Are you ready Jessica?” One of the soldiers asked me.
I turned and faced them replying, “Yea lets take‘em down boys.”
Both the soldiers looked over my shoulder and started running behind them I followed but soon passed them. The other side was filled with humans nothing special but then again I could be wrong sometimes sides like this have strong beings in the mist of all this.
Cutting, Bleeding, dying, this battle was intense; it would be awhile before things would return to normal. All I knew was I fought with my heart and soul killing all the soldiers who bore their colors. Then I felt it sharp stabs of pain go into my mind, I sank down to the ground; they did have wizards and witches but where were they then! It was extreme, to the point where I felt like I would be spilt in half, I clutched my head in my hands as everything around me went dark. But I wouldn’t give up without a fight, I could still hear everything around me, and then I felt it but it wasn’t a pain. It was a tugging sensation on my soul as if there was some one there that I should be with that I should meet. I felt people lifting my body up, they were taking me somewhere I had no clue, but I made bits and pieces out of there conversation and what was going through their mind. Some were afraid to touch me others scared to even look at me, some even feared that I would wake and kill them all. What had they done to me? Why did I feel so weak and in nothing but darkness? Who had this kind of power
“Put her in the cell under the Almighty one.” I heard a male’s voice say, I could see into his mind, he was scared and nervous about everything.
Being good soldiers as they were they did as they were told and put in a cell I would guess. Yet, I did not know exactly as to where I was or why they had me here in the first place. Slowly, the pain eased away and I could sit up and open my eyes, I was right they did stick me in a prison cell, it was dark but I could see perfectly fine. Just what I needed, I stood up and walked over to the metal door. No problem I thought to myself I could easily take this door down I smirked to myself. I banged on the door with my fist as hard as I could but no matter how much strength I put behind my punches the door would not budge! I was stuck here, but for how long? Someone better come and get me or else this warrior isn’t going to be too happy when I do get out.9
Lita:
He stood around the old well, the old man with his long sliver bread hanging down to his waist. He looked as old as one could get, however, he moved with the grace of an elf. His eyes a grayish color, but held much knowledge to them; what made him look even older was the white cotton robes that he word, along with the white leather shoes. To others he would’ve been mistaken by Marlin, yet this man was no Merlin, for Merlin wasn’t even near to what power he held in him. He sighed a bit as the water in the well rippled for then turned to a sliver liquid. Slowly a smile crept across his face; along with the look of relief that was long awaited for.
“Come to me both of you, it is time to leave for the battle is soon to begin.” His voice was deep and crisp as he spoke to what seemed like no one; age had taken its toll on this old man, you could easily tell.
As he turned to face a shadowed place, a figure stepped out that stood about five feet nine inches. The hood of a black cloak was pulled up over the face, the figures features were hidden, for the fact of the long cloak. Stopping in front of the old man the figure turned and faced him. Slowly pale slender hands raised up from under the cloak grabbing the hood’s edge the hands pulled back the hood allowing it to fall and rest upon its back. A flow of raven black hair fell to the small of the person’s back, it was a female! Her facial features were ageless and seemed to be stuck at the age of twenty, however, that was not her true age no one knew her true age. A smirk played across her lips as he looked at her, she looked back at him her mystic eyes swirled with many different colors. Her eyes began to glow as they shifted to the old well, she only nodded to his command walking to the well, she placed her hands on the top stones and stared into the water. She knew this day would come, but had not believed that it would, nevertheless it proved her wrong. Sighing she ran her fingers through her hair showing a long black silk dress and high heels under her cloak.
The old man stared at the well as she held out her hand but it was behind her that she held it out to, not to the old man. Her hand remained there for a moment then out of the shadows a hand grabbed hers, she smiled. Walking out of the shadows was another man, he was taller then her, his eyes were a bright blue with a hint of black, and his hair a dirty blonde. Like her, he too wore a cloak but his was a deep blue almost as if to set his eyes a glow.
He smiled the old man, with his peril white teeth, yet his gray eyes held somewhat a bit of pain in them. Seeing them together was great and he knew when it was his time to pass that they would have each other along with the many gifts and people they will acquire along there journey. “Now be on your way both of you…” he said to them both as he sat down on a stone bench.
The young man held his hand out to the women as she stepped up onto the old well; she looked down into the silver liquid as it began to glow brighter. She looked back at the old man and smiled bearing a set of fangs, “Good-bye Keo, see you soon I guess.” With that she pulled her hood back over her head and jumped into the liquid, the man followed her and stood on the stones looked at Keo.
“Take good care of her Alex, she is to be protected along with the other women, for both their destinies are just the beginning.” Keo said looking at his hands.
Alex nodded then jumped into the well, Keo sighed a bit, he feared for all of them. He feared for Lita as to what she had to accomplish was unclear but dangerous he hoped that she would okay. But if Lita failed then is was over for Dragon’s Hell, Keo only hoped that she would accept what was fixing to happen to her.10
By the time we got there the battle had just began, we raced down the hill attacking with magic at the enemy the best way that we could. As we reached the bottom the first flood of men came towards up, I yelled at the top of my lungs “Sword” and in a burst of flames and ice it appeared in my opened hand. Clenching the hilt of it tight I threw it through the first man that dared to hit me, hearing him scream out in pain sent my adrenaline rushing and I wanted more. After a while the men laid dead around me as my clock melted away in flames and I stood wearing a black leather halter top, black leather pants, and black combat boots. My mystic colored eyes began to show redder then before, my fangs had grown longer and the thirst for blood became more intense then before. Hearing some of our own men scream I looked up to see four enemy guards carrying away another woman I tried getting to her but so much fights was going on around me. Then I felt it a tug at my soul that I could not deny, out of no where Alex grabbed my arm and in a whirl of air and lighting we vanished.11
Freedom At Last:
Jessica:
Two weeks had past sense they stuck me in this prison cell; two weeks felt almost as if two years were creeping by slowly. For what reasons they put me in here, I couldn’t tell you, but soon I will be out I know it. Its been awhile sense I last saw the rays of sunlight; I’m in desperate need of a bath and in need of blood, lots of blood.
What’s this? Do I hear footsteps marching down the hallway? A smirk played lightly across my lips, they stopped, keys dangling, maybe it’s the day that they’ll let me out. Suddenly the creaking of the lock assures me that its my cell their at, opening the door in a quick movement a blinding light made me shudder and rush to cover my eyes. What do they want with me now? Haven’t I caused enough damage or do they want ever more? I smiled bearing a set of long ivory fangs, as the memory of me ripping off a guard’s head and killing a few more played in my mind.
“Are you Jessica Le Deco Vera?” A male’s voice asked a hint of fear in his voice.
I removed my hands from over my eyes they adjusted to the light; I looked at the blackened figure standing in the doorway. Slowly I stood to my feet and leaned against a wall I was weak from no blood but I hid it well as to not fool this man. I ran my fingers through my long jet black hair, “Yea who wants to know?” I asked with confidence in every word that I spoke. What was up with this man because he was now laughing at me and that wasn’t a thing that he wanted to do; if only he knew that I could have killed him easily but I didn’t.
“You’re the women warrior that killed over a hundred and sixty men?” He asked as he leaned against the door seal.
Laughing the man jumped against the door seal, “It was six hundred and ninety men, if I remember correctly. However, it was just in this battle that I was counting or did I miss a few humans? Hmmmm I don’t know.” I said as I gave him a devilish look.
The man just shook his head, now he was afraid and I was soaking it all in, what is it with men with their so called courage. What courage did they have when they met me?
“I am merely just a messenger sent to release you.” He said as he stepped aside making a way for me to walk through.
Nodding my head I walked towards that doorway, but was stopped as he put his arm across the doorway and leaned against the other side. He had a look on his face that seemed to me like he wanted something more then just a good bye well he wasn’t getting anything from me.
“You know I could easily remove your entire arm with your very own sword?” I said to him eyeing his sword.
I could now see what he was wearing and it was a long cloak like suit, it covered his whole entire body and allowed only his eyes to be seen. But then again all I ever needed was a persons eyes to make them fear even more and that is what they granted me. So I stared into his eyes my eyes swirled with the two shades of red as he gasped for air and at last moved his arm. I smiled then walked out into the hallway feeling a bit better then I was a few minutes ago. At least I had got to scare men who thought that they were better then any women, maybe when they get home tonight they will treat their wife a lot better. I turned left and walked out of the doorway and into bright sunlight, but it wasn’t time to celebrate just yet, I didn’t stop just walked straight for the main gate.12
Stepping out on the gate’s bridge I at last took a deep breath of clean air into my lungs, I was free! I was finally free, out of no where I just had to laugh and I laughed. But that quickly stopped as I acknowledged the fact that they had let me go they had yet to see the last of me. Shaking it out of my body, I stood to my full height of five feet six inches; I was tall for a woman but who cared!
“Keep on moving we have to close the bridge soon, no time to lollygag!” The gate keeper yelled down to me. He was covered with the same cloak like suit as the other man, what an awful way to be dressed for an entire day. I shook my head and walked off the bridge onto solid dirt ground; taking another step I heard a kind of mushy sound like how ground sounds in the marshes. However, it wasn’t water that soaked the soil it was blood; all kind of creatures’ blood, from human to elf and many other creatures as well. I looked up to see the ground; this was a graveyard of its own kind, to make things worst it was in front of what seemed to be a castle. Letting out a sigh I started to make my way around and over the dead bodies, some of these I had killed myself and some were just little boys that were thrown into battle. By the looks of it there were a million or more bodies lying around, the blood and decay attracted the vultures and other scavengers. After what felt like forever I had stepped onto land that was tamed by no king or any other person.
“This war was not necessary or was this war wanted by any of us.” I heard a familiar voice say, no matter what he always knew where to find me, and just how to get to me at least I believed that he did.
Any other time he would have made my heart skip a beat or two, but now all I felt was rage and anger; I turned and quickly caught his throat in my hand pulling at the main jugular all that rage was coming out. “You left me in the prison call, caged like an animal!” I yelled. He was struggling to get free, gasping for air, to breath, to live. “I had to sit there; they put charms and spells on that prison cell, every single day. I couldn’t escape while you barely even thought about me.”
I threw him to the ground and stepped away from him, watching his blonde and blue hair bob for a second or two. He was not scared fully of me but for the fact that I could’ve killed him right then and there without a second thought to it. Slowly, he stood to his feet and I took him fully in again; he stood about as tall as me but putting as side to side he was taller. His eyes were a greenish-blue color a strange mixture but they set him a glow, by that I meant his eyes were the key to what gave him as an ice-keeper. He tanned out a bit more sense that last time I saw him, heck he was even more built yet no matter what he still had that human look to him. Even if his eyes were way different it was as though they did want him to blend in but they could not let his eyes pass, they just had to touch them.
“You really got to watch that temper of yours Jess,” His voice bought me back from my thoughts as he spoke to me. He rubbed the back of his neck I could see ice seeping into the red marks soothing the pain away, but as always he looked up at me with those striking eyes of his and smiled.
I smirked a bit, walking away from him I replied, “It’s my temper that makes me who I am.” I heard him laugh he was amused by my answer then again he always was. “How is everyone else Frost?” I asked as I walked by a tree expecting to be jumped by other people but he was alone.
Frost smirked, “They are ok some are wounded but they will live.”
I nodded my head and walked over to Frost looking him dead in his eyes, “And how are you doing then?” I asked him.
“I’m ok just been worried about you and sorry that I couldn’t come before it was hard to get past that stupid Almighty one.” He said as he leaned down a bit closer to me.
I walked closer to him and smiled up at him, “Sorry about that whole neck thing,” I said as I kissed his neck he shivered under my lips.
Frost wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a passionate kiss, his tongue met mine as an icy chill went trough out my body. He pulled back and smiled kissing me lightly on the lips again, but I wasn’t done with him, as I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him again. This time fire met his icy kiss, as it did he deepened the kiss by pulling me closer to him, slowly Frost pulled away and smiled at me.
“I best be on my way you know where to find me and I know where to find you.” He said kissed me then in an icy breeze swept him away.
Closing my eyes I felt the lasting impression of Frost’s kiss upon my lips remain for a while, reluctantly I opened my eyes this was really insane. I shook my head and walked away but not even a few steps later my vision turned to a blood red, I had forgotten my thirst for blood I needed some fast. Without even a second thought to it flames engulfed my entire body from my feet up and carried me to another place, to a city or village I would hope. The scent of the ocean filled my sense I looked around to see a fishermen’s city to the North of me. It must be a newly established city for I do not remember one being here in a while, but I didn’t care I just needed blood and this was a perfect place to find some. Walking towards the city I was once again engulfed in flames and walked out on the cities bridge, you can tell that it was newly built by the bridge. From the looks of this town it was just like every other town that was being prepared for the battle that had just happened two weeks ago. Every guard on there post ready for anything to happen, and of course the famous town market along with the many taverns and inns plus the bars.
Stepping into an alleyway out of site I looked down at my clothes, the torn shirt and pants just had to go! I sighed a bit, what on earth had made me forget about these messy clothes to even begin with? Shaking my head I closed my eyes as I felt the grip of flames and power in my entire body grow, smiling I gripped the power and felt it surge into me hotter then before. Moaning out a bit as the flames erupted from my finger tips, I opened my eyes to see the flames wrapping around my arms and shoulders. Closing around my face then making its way down to my breast, stomach, hips, legs, and then to my feet. My entire body was engulfed in flames, everything on me burned away by the flames that I produced from my body I stood naked for a few minutes the flames covering and swirling around my entire body. I bit my lower lip to stop me from screaming the power felt so great covering my body; the flames started swirling around my body as I felt strong leather being pressed upon my legs, hips, butt, and private parts. I looked down and I was wearing black leather pants after a while I smelt roses and I felt a lot cleaner then I had before. The same sensation was applied upon my upper back, my breast, and onto my chest, however none was applied to my stomach and lower back.
Slowly, the flames stopped swirling and withered away I stood wearing black leather pants however they weren’t whole on both sides strings held together the pants front and back; so you could see my bare skin. Along with that I also wore a black leather tank top just like the pants they were tied together down the sides holding the front and back together; it was very revealing with a low v-shape cut in the front and cut short to show my stomach and back it also tied in the very front as well.
I walked out from the ally way and back onto the main road and towards the middle of the market; I could hear gossip of the latest news in this town, always reliable are the women whose loud mouths they could not keep shut. Thinking back to a time when I was human, I believed that I would have enjoyed being like that, however, I really wouldn’t now because the life I am living suits me just fine. But it never failed I could always stop a conversation as I walked by; I knew that for a fact because everything around me had become quiet. Women just stood with their mouth’s open looking at me in shock as if I was some sort of disease or a cures because I am a warrior it was wrong of me because I am a women. But then again the men thought it different they just nodded their heads in approval and went about their business; at least they accepted me.
After walking for sometime a strong and firm hand gripped my shoulder and whipped me around into another ally, “So sexy thing how I can help you, you sure look lost.” A man stood in front of my pushed me back against the wall; he was drunk I could smell the beer on his breath. He was bigger then me, of course all men were, I sighed a bit I allowed him to push me around, as I took his features. Even though he was drunk he still looked handsome, nothing was bad about him really; he was tall, tanned, built, brown eyes, hair, and he looked like a farmer.
Thinking about it farmers weren’t doing all too well from what I have been hearing, but what on earth was a farmer doing in a fishermen’s town? I shook my head as I heard him ramble on about his wife leaving him and how he had no one else in the world, but his rambling stopped as his attention turned back to me.
“Oh yea back to what I was saying, it seemed to me like you need some help m’lady.” He said and walked over to me putting an arm over my shoulder and wrapping the other one around my waist.
I rolled my eyes, “Why yes you can help me, see I am in need of something to eat.” I said to him in my sweetest and innocent voice.
His eyes lit up with the beer intoxicating him more, “Well I got just what you need, doll face.” He said as he stepped closer to me and grinded his groin in to me more.
I felt his lion, as most men called it, press into me, Great just what I need a guy with a hard no! I sighed a bit and just played along, I kissed his neck as he picked me up I wrapped my legs around him he was carrying me off into the darkness that is exactly what I needed.
“What’s your name doll face.” He asked me his eye on me as he tried to work my pants off.
I smiled bearing a set of fangs, they grew longer as his blood filled my entire senses as I said, “My name is Jessica.”
He stopped short and placed me on the ground stepping away from me, “Jessica what?” He asked.
I laughed and grabbed him slamming him hard into the wall, he started to scream but I quickly hushed him with my hand over his mouth. “My name is Jessica Le Deco Vera that’s who I am.”
He struggled some more but I shook my head at him and smiled bearing my fangs, he pushed against me seeing my fangs and knowing what I was going to do to him. Turning his head to the side, his neck invited me to it and I sunk my fangs right into his neck, tasting the blood mixed with beer through his blood and see all his memories. But I blocked them away this time, I didn’t want to know them or see them, after a while of struggling he quit and became limp in my arms. Slowly, I fell to my knees with his body, I wasn’t done with him yet I wanted to drain him; pulling away I licked my lips tasting his blood on my tongue feeling a warm sensation go through out my body, I shivered a bit and stood to my feet. Looking towards the main street I waved my hand over the dead body and his body burned away in flames, the ashes then vanished.
Nodding my head I turned and walked out of the ally way fixing my clothes and fixing hair I walked towards the bar and inns. I needed some rest and more blood, yea the man was pretty big but I was locked up two weeks without blood! But if I found just the right bar it might have just what I need; the streets never died here I guess, for everyone was up and running around lovers sneaking off for a late night snack and kids who just didn’t want to go to bed. Looking towards the center of the market something going on near the church whatever it was it very big and the people were in a daze.
A small kid who looked around the age of nine or ten ran past me, quickly I caught his arm and pulled him towards me. Crouching down to meet his eye level I really didn’t look him in the eyes and asked, “Kid do you know what’s going on over there?” I pointed towards the church.
“They are burning the soldiers that came back from the war!” He yelled as he ran the other way chasing after his friends.
I looked down at the ground and sighed a bit, soldiers who are dead; it must be from that same war I was in. Standing up I looked around everyone’s attention was towards the church field, who was so important that everyone was affected by it in someway.
“Move out the way woman,” A man yelled as I was pushed out of the way and into the shadows.
What on earth was wrong with the guards in this town, I thought to myself leaning up to catch a glimpse of a uniform. Maybe I won’t get the respect that I deserve unless I carry my weapons around!
Looking around me I was surrounded in darkness, just what I need and wanted; I leaned against the rough oak wood building and closed my eyes. I felt the surge of fire run throughout my veins as before but more powerful, “Lo swrodom kal megnostic,” I spoke out loud and clear. The wears seemed to ring throughout the air around me, I could see the shadows coming to live and wrapping around my body to hide me from any wondering eyes, the shadows became my shelter. I held out my right palm flames flew up in a straight line but stopped short and started to swirl and twist about in slow spirals. Grasping the top of the flames I felt a hard surface under the flames, pulling it out the flames gradually withered away revealing an entirely black dagger. The dagger almost blended into the shadows if it had not been for a glowing light coming off of its blade that read “Un balikul megnostic, kilok shilfa.” An ancient language that was engraved upon the dagger’s blade glow a bright red, I let the dagger go and it floated sheathing itself on my left side. Still feeling the fire surging throughout my veins I still had to get my other weapon, I gasped for air as the flames wrapped around my waist and down in a straight line on my right side. The flames stopped at about my calf and started to swirl and twist about in fast spirals; I grabbed the top of the flames as I did before and pulled out forward with my left arm. Like before the flames withered away, what I held out in front of me was my sword. Closing my eyes I gripped the hilt of the sword with both hands with the blade pointed into the air. Leisurely I opened my eyes as words started to burn into the blade I read out loud, “Swrodom kilok lo enyomis.” As I read the words they began to glow even brighter. The fire that once flowed through my veins slowly died; the outcome of my powers granted me both my weapons, now I was ready for anything.
I walked out of the shadows with my weapons in hand now all I had to worry about was finding just the right bar to get the rest of what I needed. As I was making my way through what was almost a ghost town in the parts, I stopped in the middle of bars and inns, I had to admit something to myself, that I was lost!
A voice asked out of no where, “Can I help you warrior?”
“Yes, can you point me to the best bar or tavern for darkness if you know what I mean?” I replied to the voice turning it the direction it came from.
A short man walked out, he wore a brown apron smeared with black smudges, his beard twisted into a braid, roughly he looked around thirty-five. The scar across his face was the tall tale of a soldier who fought well in many battles when he was younger along with the limp as he walked.
“M’lady the best bar for darkness for you would be the Dragon’s Den.” He said as he pointed to left, “What battle you blowing in from?” he asked as he eyed my sword, dagger, and the clothes that I wore.
Looking to where he pointed above a building swung a sign written on it was “Dragon’s Den” with a cave and a dragon’s tail on the ground outside the cave. I looked back to the old man wan replied, “I didn’t catch the name of the battle but we was fighting’ against that army for the Almighty one as they call him.” I chuckled a bit as I said that, however the man’s mouth dropped.
“M’lady many of our soldiers went to that battle and many of them died.” He bowed to me as he spoke then started again. “And the one that did return talked of a woman warrior that saved his life…my son.”
A bit taken a back by what he said my memories took my back to the battle grounds, to the young boy I jumped in front of and killed the on coming attacker. The very same boy who had just killed a man and was staring at the dead body, scared and almost a bit lost for a moment or two. I yelled and he started to fight again, his eyes were just behind fog as if he wasn’t really there in his mind but somewhere else safe and warm. Before my attention was fully back on the man, he was on his knees crying, thanking me, thankfully no one was around to see any of this.
A tall boy walked out with his arm in a sling and bandages wrapped around his chest “Father what is wrong with….” He stopped as his eyes met mine, slowly he begun to bow but I grabbed his good arm and stopped him.
I said to him, “Tell me your name,” my eyes beginning to swirl with two shades of red.
The boy that stood in front of me now was the same one that fought in the battle; he was tall, lanky, brown hair, black eyes, tanned, and not very muscular. But then again the boy that stood in front of me now had more scared then he did before, of course he did put up a good fight against the other men in the battle.
Looking to his father for approval, his eyes were lost but his father nodded his head, “My name is Kevin De Heart and my father is John De Heart.” He said to me extending his good arm out for a handshake.
Grabbing his hand I gently shook his hand, nodding my head I smiled at Kevin but not so much as to show my fangs. John shivered, tears building up in his eyes as looked upon our hands shaking. I let go of Kevin’s hand and crossed both my arms over my chest, taking in how Kevin changed.
“You must honor us, by staying with us, until it is your time to go.” John said as he motioned to me to follow him. He stood up off of his knees and walked into the shop, through the back entry and into another building, Kevin followed John and I followed Kevin.
“Thank you,” I heard Kevin say to me, it was very quite but I still hear it. “What’s you name warrior?” He asked as we stopped in a room filled with laughter but fell to silence as I stepped into the room.
“My name is Jessica, Jessica Le Deco Vera.” I whispered back to him as we stepped into a silent room.
John motioned around with arms and hands, looking back and forth as he said, “Welcome to our humble home.”
An intense emotion over took my sense as I walked further into the room, I never knew so much emotion could come form one person, a passion that no words could even express. Looking around my eyes met a tearful gaze, it was a woman, and she stood by the fireplace as she wringed her hands around one another. Walking over to me the emotion increased with every step she took, it was overpowering me in a way that I thought I could never feel. I took her into my mind studying everything about her, she was like every other woman on the outside; wearing the loose white cotton shirt, long cotton dress, black leather belt, black sandal and her brunette blonde hair handing around her shoulders.
She took my hands into hers, “Thank you m’lady for saving my pride and joy, my oldest.” She said the tears on the verge of coming down her face and her voice shaky with such emotion.
I shook her hands a bit as I replied, “He’s a good fighter just needs a bit more training besides I believe it would help him out a lot more if he did start training more.”
“Yes, you stay with us until you have to leave.” She said a bit of laughter in her voice. Pulling me, she led me to a steady wooden oak table, in the center of the large room, I sat down and Kevin sat across form me.
Looking to him I said, “We must talk later tonight, I have a few questions I want you to answer for me.”13
We Have to Find Her:
Lita:
Two weeks have passed sense we left the battle grounds, for some reason the tug keeps on pulling at my soul and it’s getting annoying. Closing my eyes I pictured my beloved dragons along with Keo and the rest of my family that raised me; sighing a bit I stood up trying to not to wake Alex and walked to the ledge of the hill that we made camp on. This was so stupid having to come here and fight a battle that was dumb to even start in the first place, what was the use in it all? I hated the part of the world; I hated being away from my part of Dragon’s Hell for too long, away from Keo at the most. I kicked the dirt with my boot as the sun started to raise casting rays upon the trees and grass, flowers opened to bask in the sunlight. Hissing I stepped into the shadows, crouching down to the ground waiting for Alex to awake.
He stirred and turned over, not feeling me there he jumped up and looked around; out of no where I pounced on him and pushed him back to the ground.
“Morning Alex,” I said and gave him a kiss.
Alex laughed and returned the kiss then replied, “Morning Lita.”14
