Against my will.

Jessie Shaw wasn't the most outgoing girl in the world, not like her best friend Jamie Monroe. But Jessie was outgoing nonetheless. She mostly just liked to hang out with her friends, read a lot, go to the movies and the occasional party. Jessie wasn't big into dating either, she'd had 3 or 4 boyfriends, but the idea of a long term commitment, was something she wasn't ready to handle. Not all 16-year-old girls are. She liked her alone time, where she could draw and write, writing was what she did best. Apparently the school newspaper thought so too because they had made her the editor of the newspaper not too long ago. Jessie made average grades, mostly A's and B's, the sporadic C. But this isn't about how Jessie makes good grades or is popular among the people she hangs out with, this is about how all of that came crashing down in one simple night.1

"Jessie, you should really go to this party, i hear Brad Tompkins is gonna be there!" Jamie said encouragingly. "So...?" Jessie gave her a doubtful look. "So, everybody knows that you are obsessed with him, seriously, i don't know why, he's ugly. But I've noticed him checking you out a few times, you're hot, I'd do ya." It was true, Jessie had had a crush on one of the bikers at school, Brad Tompkins, tall, brown hair, gorgeous smile, appealing to Jessie for sure. "Whatever. If i went, what would i do? Stare at him the entire evening, you know I'm a chicken shit and won't ever talk to him." "So, you don't have to spend the entire night obsessing over Brad." Jamie teased. "I do not obsess, i just really like him is all." "Mmmm hmmm, well you can really like him at the party." "I don't know if I'm even going." "Well you're going because i say your going." "Whatever." So Jamie and Jessie got ready and headed out to the party, which was on the other side of town at Allison Brittany's father's beach house while her father was on a business trip. "I hate girls with two first names." Jamie said dryly. "What?" "Her last name, is a first name, it's gay." "I don't think she chose it." She smiled. They got to the house which had cars parked in the yard, drive way, the street, even some in neighbors yards. "Popular place to be on a Friday night apparently." Jessie exclaimed. As they walked into the house, they were greeted by several of their other friends, including Allison Brittany. "Like, I'm so glad you guys came, beers are over by the kitchen sink and the bathroom is upstairs, first door on the left but please don't go in any of the bedrooms or the dining room, I'm trying to keep those clean." Allison said in one breathe. She smiled cheerly and walked away to greet other people. "So glad she could fit us into her busy schedule." "Shut up and grab me a beer." They walked into the kitchen and waited to get a beer when Jamie spotted Brad. "Ew, Mr. Brad is over there." She said in Jessie's ear and pointed. Jessie felt her heart flutter for several moments and tried to play it cool. "So?" "Oh my god, don't play dumb with me, you know you wanna do him." Jessie made an appalled face. "I do not. I just think he's...hot." She said turning her glance over to Brad. "Mmm hmm." They grabbed their beers and walked into the living room where everybody was. 2

After about an hour of "mingling" and drinking, the party seemed to stay at the same tempo. More people came, more people drank. All was starting to bore Jessie until she saw Brad Tompkins coming her way with two of his friends. Jamie looked quickly at Jessie to see her reaction but nothing, Jessie played it cool the whole time. "Hey." Brad said smoothly. "Hey." Jessie said coolly. "Nice party huh?" "Yea, it's alright, they should have Fuel playing though." "You like Fuel?" "Yea, one of my favorite bands." "Awesome, me too." "Cool." "So, you with anyone?" "Like a date?" "Yea, like a date." The entire conversation only existed between Brad and Jessie. "No, just here with some friends, you?" "Nah, no date, but I'm uh...willing to leave with one." Jessie grinned. "Is that supposed to imply something?" "What do you think?" "I'm pretty sure you're hitting on me." "Then you'd be right." She smiled and then he smiled. "Do you wanna um...go somewhere else, it's kinda too loud in here to talk." "Sure." "How bout my car?" She hesitated. "Sure, couldn't hurt." She thought. "Sounds good." She drank the rest of her beer and headed out the door with him but managed to get a quick wink from Jamie before leaving. 3

When they got in his car, there was an awkward silence. "So..." Brad started. "So..." Jessie repeated. There was another awkward silence. Brad slyly put his arm around Jessie. Jessie took a deep breathe and let it out slowly so it wasn't too obvious that she was nervous. "Um...what do you do for fun?" Brad asked, breaking the silence. "Um, i hang with friends and go to the movies sometimes. How bout you?" "I hang with friends, go to the mall, drive." "/You/ go to the mall?" He smiled. "Not to shop or anything, but to mostly...sell." "Sell?" "Yea, like pot and stuff." "Oh. I didn't know you smoked." "Yea." Another awkward silence. "Do you smoke?" He asked. "No, no i don't." "Oh. That's cool, you probably shouldn't anyway." "Yea, neither should you." He chuckled. "Yea, but i find that it spices up life." "I'm sure." She wasn't very impressed with the fact that he smoked. Suddenly, Brad reached over and kissed Jessie. She was shocked and surprised. She looked at him and half smiled. He leaned over again and kissed her but longer and harder this time. He started moving closer to her and getting on top of her. Jessie gently pushed him off. "Brad...i don't think we should..." "Why? I thought you liked me?" "I do, but...i dunno, i don't want to do anything rash." "Rash? What the fuck is that?" "Sorry." "No." She looked confused. "No?" She thought. "What did he mean by no?" He leaned over and pushed her down onto her back this time. "Brad don't." "Sorry, i just don't take no for an answer." "Well you're gonna have to." He kissed her again but she turned away. "Let me go, I'm leaving." "No you're not." "Uh, yes slick i am." He got on top of her and held down her arms. "What the fuck are you doing? Get the hell off of me." "No baby doll, you'll enjoy this." "Brad stop it!" She screamed in fury. "Don't squirm, damn." She tried to push him off but he was too strong for her. He started unbuttoning her pants. Jessie started panicking and started flailing her arms and legs. He smacked her, "Stop moving!" "Get off of me!" Tears started to run down her face, out of frustration, fear and anger. He pulled her jeans off of her, and ripped her shirt off of her. "Oh my god, what is he doing? Oh god help me." She thought. "Stop it!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "I told you to stop moving!" "Get the fuck off of me! Stop it!" He tightened his grip around her wrists as he forced himself inside her. She started to cry, she didn't know what was happening, she didn't know how to stop it. She cried harder each time he forced himself in her. It hurt, it hurt like hell, and she didn't know why this was happening to her. It was over after about 15 minutes. He pulled out of her and threw her clothes at her. She sat there, crying. "Don't cry." He said coldly. She looked at him. "I can't believe you." "Oh shut up, you know you wanted it." She cried harder. She put on her jeans and the rest of her torn shirt and got out of the car and walked home. Jamie ran outside, "Jessie, where the hell are you going?" "Home." Jessie thought. Jamie shrugged and walked back inside.4
