A Best friend's wishes
Hey i'm Franky, I live with my mom, dad and my grandma Pauline. I live in the Amazon Forest. My best friend is Maryann she lives 2 blocks away. We always hang out and play tag together. Hey, did i mention we are trees? My friends John and Amanda lives on the outskirts of the forest. They only visit on weekends. A few days ago they came to visit. John spent the night at my house. On the 7th of June it was Amanda's birthday. I could sadly not go because grandma Pauline died. She was only 73years old, but she died happily.So i wrote Amanda a letter,

Dear Mandy,
Happy Birthday. I hope you enjoy this day as it yours alone. Have a great year a head full of love, joy and happiness. I am sorry i could not come due to a family problem. Sorry

The next thing i had to do was write a letter to cousin Johnty, i had to tell him the good news and the bad.


Dear Johnty,
I am very sorry to inform you that granma Pualine passes away yesterday. We hope you will join us for the funeral next week. I also have some good news for you cousin, mummy is pregnant and i am going to have a baby sister. Hope we see you next week.

On the following Tuesday we had the ceremony for grandma. Alot of the family was there to support us through this hard time. A few days after the ceremony little Tanya was born. She was as light as a feather, but i was not allowed to carry her just as yet. The next day we had a Christining for Tanya. Later that evening Maryann and her family came over. She said she had some bad news of her own. Maryann and her brother Tony were moving to the Berry- Berry forest. I was not going to see Maryann for the next few years. Before Maryann left i gave her Grandma Pauline's favourtie Blue beaded necklace and matching earings. I dropped Maryann back home that was it.. She was really leaving.'Maryann, left a while ago Tanya' she was my best friend.

A few months later i was accepted into the Green Grass Elementary school. I had a lovely beight uniform. Blue shirt and brown pants.. i Can't forget the bright green cap to go with it. I enjoyed going to school and making new friends. In the 4th grade i was the school's youngest prefect. So all went well for me.

But what about Maryann and Tony. I got a letter from her and she seemed very happy. The letter read,

Dearest Franky,
How are you? School had begun and its a great lot of fun. I am making a lot of new friends but i promise you i am not forgetting all of you.. I will be coming back in the summer to meet you all.. I study at the Spring Grove Boarding for girls. In school we learn about humans and their lives.. I am also part of the school's basket ball team. So i am very happy. Hope all is good there. So all went well.. We may live in different forests and may not see each other everyday. But we still love each other very much and wish each other the best in what they do
