Would you Remember Me?

What if all the world went wrong,1

Everything achieved undone,2

Would you look to others or just save yourself?3

What if all that we have now,4

Disappeared somewhere somehow,5

Nothing left but distant dreams, all but gone or so it seems.6

Would you try and think things over?7

Would you stop to lend a hand?8

Would you remember me in your wildest dreams9

or would you feel free.10

Free from the ball and chain that you've made me.11

Would you remember me?12

This was inspired partly by the title but also because i've just finished reading war of the worlds!!!!!!!!
