The funeral

Christina's tears dripped from her cornflower eyes into her lap. She brushed them away; she did not want to ruin her black dress.1

She glanced up at the coffin at the altar. White bouquets stood out amongst the crowd of black mourners.2

She wanted to remember Adam as the happy young man that she had loved. Not an angry figure of despair.3

Depression. That was the cause.4

Tears were coming steadily now. She was the cause. She was the one that had wanted to end the relationship.5

Adam had been violent, abusive. She could not take it.6

But he loved her. After his dad dying, Christina knew that she should have been a lot more considerant.7

She had thought, after six months, Adam could deal with his father's passing. But she was wrong.8

He did really love her. He did. That is why, before Adam ran out in the road, he said,9

"Remember me, Chris, remember me," and he kissed her head.10

The next second, Adam was gone.11

Remember me.12

um... this was good but i think that if you want to win you should expand on this and go a little more into detail. Like why is Adam dead did he end he own life how did it happen... not that this was bad it was pretty good i liked it but there are others that have a better chance of winning than this one. Thanks for taking time to enter my contest. i look forward to reading a revised version.
