Kangaroo Riders

O1

ne day in a mighty land called Guluka, where bilbies ruled the land and kangaroos walked on four legs, the four kangaroo riders- Sinno, Linno, Kinno and Jinno- were told that the town crystal had been stolen by Giovann and his lizard-men. They left straight away with a hundred bilby warriors following them. His lair was at the top of the mountain, Mt. Firefield, and that was where they were heading. Half way up the mountain they came across the first of the seven fire fields.2

The kangaroos that they were riding on had to hop because it was so hot. Finally, after all seven fire fields were crossed, they reached his lair. It was very large, although there were only twenty lizard-men in it. There, at the end of the lair, was the crystal, glowing brighter than ever. The lizard-men saw them and attacked the bilbies with their fire spears. It was a large battle and many brave lives were lost, including two of the kangaroo riders, Linno and Jinno. After many hours of battle, the bilbies finally won and took the crystal back to their home land. The land was safe from the evil Giovann and his men.3

All the kangaroos were so used to hopping that they still did. That is why kangaroos hop along and still do this very day.4

Author notes

This is an Aboriginal myth that I had to write for school.

Very creative! I liked this, maybe more detail would be better, but it was okay. It didnt really have any romance in it, which i said was a must have... Anyways, good luck in the contest!
