Chapter one2

I peered into the hole in the wall. I could not see anything clearly, but I could almost make out dark shadows moving around inside the void. The shadows looked like they were dancing and every few seconds I swear I could see long white fangs as the shadows looked my way and smiled. But that was just my imagination or so made myself belief.
I reached for the pick that was lying on the ground at my feet. I grabbed the pick and swung it against the stone surrounding the hole. Little by little I whittle at the surrounding edges of the void in the wall. After, what seemed an eternity I had made the hole large enough, that I felt that with enough force I could squeeze my way through.
I looked around feeling uneasy of what I might find beyond the wall, even more uneasy of what might find me. I picked my backpack and flashlight and with a deep breath I headed into the darkness. 3

I looked at the opening from where I had just step in from to the open dark expanse that lay ahead of me. To my surprise my eyes started adjusting to the blackness. I slowly could make out trees and tall grass where non should have been. A cold shudder ran down my back. I shook if off and proceeded towards the unknown the forest offered.4

Chapter Two5

The trees were further than they first looked. As I walked, my thoughts drifted off the incident that brought me here. It was yesterday morning when I was awoken by a loud knock at my apartment door. I lifted my head from my pillow for a second and then laid it back. I tried to ignore the knocking hoping who ever was at the door would tire and go away. But to my annoyances the knocking just got louder. With a loud “ damit “ I finally got up and stumbled to the front door. With an angry “ What “ I swung the door open. To my utter surprise I recognized the person who was still banging frantically at the door. It was Diane, my long lost sister, who I had not seen since I was twelve.
“Johnny, Johnny I need your help” She screamed as she rapped her arms around my neck. “Hurry up and closed the door” she ordered as she kept looking over her shoulder. I looked around behind her seeing no one I slammed the door shut. If I had know ahead of what would be in stored for me I would have never answered the door that fateful morning. 6

"Diane, What's wrong? " “Where have you been?” I asked as I pried my prodigal of a sister from me. “Johnny tha thank God I found you” she stammered. “ It was hard but I finally escaped. Thank God I found you.” She continued All the while keeping a eye on the door.
