The Death of Roseline

After realizing she was at the mercy of her other self, she soon found herself in this precarious situation. Death would be too good for Rosline, but it was the only way to stop her consistant displeasure and rantings. So here Marie stood, at the edge of this cliff. The wind whipped her hair and dress around her, choking her and making her feel claustraphobic and uncertain. Getting herself back in the frame of mind, she shuffled her feet to the edge of the precipine and curled her toes over the edge. Feeling herself being pushed back by the wind, she stumbled and fell. Landing on her side, she felt the rocks embed themselves into her hip and elbow. Feeling the wetness of the blood trickle down her arm, she started to weep. Rosline laughed, 'You botched your own death, it's so like you Marie. You always fail.'1

"Leave me alone," Marie screamed as she clawed at her skull and hair, "GET OUT, GET OUT GET OUT!!!" Rosline's laughter got louder and echoed inside her head. Tears ran down Marie's cheeks, making her hair stick to her face and blinding her. She tried to get up, but fell several times, injuring herself more. Finally after several minutes of grueling pain and cursing at Rosline, Marie managed to stand. Running her dirty hands over her face to remove the stuck hair and tears, she looked for her freedom. "Ah!" Finding it close, she stumbled her way towards it. Almost there she heard a car door slam. Looking behind her she saw a figure outlined in its headlights. Stumbling, she fell to the ground. Not to be defeated, she started draging herself to her death. "Almost there," she muttered, "you bloody bitch, I'll soon rid of you!" Laughing madly, she increased her efforts.2

"Marie!!" She stopped. He couldn't be here, she thought, he abandoned me to Rosline, he didn't care. "Stop, I can help you." Laughing at him, she continued dragging herself along. But she hadn't been fast enough, he knelt at her side. "Here," he said as he lifted her, walked to the edge and dumped her over the side.3

Screaming, she woke in a cold sweat and complete darkness. 'Shut up Marie, and go back to sleep,' Rosline said, 'It was just a silly dream, you really didn't die that way. You got buried alive...' Rosline cackled an evil laugh as Marie started clawing at the inside of her casket.4
