The Millionth Story

She knew she didn’t want to loose him. He had been a part of her life for 4 years now. Yet, Sarah was dropping into a black hole and loosing all sight of hope. She’d been praying for him to save her again and he just wasn’t getting the clue.1

Swinging her feet under the chair she scribbled in her notebook. Sarah was one of the girls who’d been dreaming of the fairy tale ending; her drawing definitely reflected that. She could dream for hours of how her life with Cody would turn out in years to come. 2

Sarah had big dreams and hopes that just never seemed to be hitting off the ground. All of her other relationship weren’t what she wanted and somehow in this one it was all-great, at least in the beginning. Things shifted so much when he had helped her out of the big rut. He now wasn’t so clingy, open, and worried. Something’s he wasn’t was what most people would rather not have in a relationship, but not Sarah she just wanted him as she had found him. None of her talking would make him needy, worried, and certainly never would get him to see how upset she always was.3

Cody was a laid back kind of guy. He didn’t have worries on the outside, but if you knew him like Sarah did you’d find a broken young man. He loved Sarah dearly, but you can’t expect a 17 year old to not be selfish. Though Sarah wasn’t but 2 years older she would give everything up for Cody. She did this all the time and most of the time she expected it back. Looking for something she was never going to get.4

Cody loved Sarah with everything he had, but it just wasn’t how Sarah had planned for it all to work out. They both were head over heels for each other but they seemed disconnected. Someday soon they would stumble over the problem, which that was no question, the only question was when.5
