The Search For The Missing Nut

Maddison awoke that morning, knowing that something was not right. She could sense that something had been misplaced, but what, she thought to herself. She went on in her day, as cheerful as normal, only more cautious this day, for she was unsure of what to expect. She sat in the corner, alone, drinking her water, and eating a bowl of nuts and seeds, as she did each morning when she awoke. Then, suddenly to her surprise she realized, that her very favorite nut, had been misplaced. 1

In a frantic fury, Maddison searched her entire cage, in a complete scrumage, she threw everything over,frantically searching her bed, to see if she had left it there by mistake. She soon ran over to her barrel, where she normally took her most favorite snacks to eat, but to her diseray it was not to be found.2

That morning Maddison sulked. She sat alone in her home, feeling more sad than she had felt for some time. Climbing on the walls of her house, she looked out at her suroundings, to see if anyone had noticed her. To her surprise someone had noticed her and had been watching and observing her all along. Suddenly this person, lifted the roof of her house and reached in, scooping Maddison up with her hand. She spoke to her gently, but Maddison could not understand. She then put Maddison gently back into her cage, and in a quick instant she was gone. This person soon returned. Opening the cage lid she placed something into the cage. Maddison was curious and quickly scurred over to see what it was. To her delight Maddison found a big pile of delicious seeds, and nuts. She quickly shoved as many nuts as she could fit, into her mouth, and quickly scurried into her barrel. She then dug a hole in which she planned to burry her seeds in, and to her suprise, she looked into the hole, and found... her peanut. She then dropped all of her seeds out of her mouth and in a quick instant she picked up the peanut and shoved it into her mouth as quickly as she could. All this time that she had searched for her peanut, it had been right under her nose all along. Now Maddison was overjoyed, for she had found her peanut and also was given many other new delicious nuts for her to enjoy.3
