Kesler walked slowly towards the stained glass window, the angelic symbols shining through, turning the little church hall colors of purple and green in the moonlight. His pale hand reached up and touched the window, his head tilted down slightly.2
"What is it Kesler?" asked Marius in his dark Italian accent.3
Kesler sighed, and moved his long, silver hair from his face, revealing haunting black eyes,4
"Nothing master." he muttered.5
His master laughed,6
"Now, Kesler, I know when there is something wrong, I've guided you for over a hundred years now, tell me." he asked whilst licking his lips.7
Kesler walked towards the exit of the old, crumbling church,8
"I think its time I should go out on my own master, I really do think I'm ready." replied Kesler, with no emotion.9
"Very well, but remember, I am always here when you need me."10
He flew over to his "son" and embraced him.11
"Be gone, Kesler, may your adventure be a happy one." Marius smiled, and kissed him lightly on the forehead.12
"Thank you for releasing me father." Kesler took one final look at the church in which he had grown up in, and took off into the dark, misty night.13
Aela walked solemnly through her little village, and up to the old mansion, were she liked to congregate with her friends. A deep forest surrounded it, which was now rich and thick with gold and red leaves in the autumn air. Her long black hair blew in the breeze as she entered the forest. She wore her favorite taffeta bodice and long black velvet skirt with black buckle boots.14
She rubbed her arms gently,15
"I knew I should have brought my jacket,” she whimpered.16
Further up ahead she heard her friends laughing. Aela began to jog a little, and as usual, found her friends lying on the graves of the old abandoned estate.17
"Aela!" shouted Crow whilst running to meet her.18
"Hey guys." She hugged her best friend and waved to the others.19
"What took you so long?" asked Claudia whilst taking a sup of some red wine.20
"I had to sneak out, mum was in a bad mood, I couldn’t be bothered with her." moaned Aela whilst lying on a table style gravestone.21
"Cheer up Aela, have some Ariel, its good!" Claudia handed the bottle of red wine to Aela, and she drunk it greedily, and tiny drop trickling down her chin, which she licked up quickly,22
"Cool it!" laughed Raven as he offered out the cigarettes.23
The foursome all took one gladly.24
As they smoked Aela stared up at the ivy-covered mansion, its walls covered with deep red ivy,25
"Do you think we are ever gonna go in there, instead of just talking about it?" she asked sadly.26
Raven swaggered over and rested his arm on Aelas shoulder,27
"I suppose we could go in tonight, I mean if you’re ballsy enough."28
Aela laughed,29
"Why not, Claudia, Crow, you up for it?"30
Claudia giggled, a little tipsy off the wine,31
"Why not!" she giggled, whilst moving her red hair out of her face. Crow hugged her tightly,32
"Don't worry Claudia, I'll protect you!" he kissed her on the cheek and Claudia blushed a deep scarlet.33
"Well then, shall we?" Aela asked solemnly whilst walking towards the house, bottle of wine in hand.34
Claudia, Crow and Raven wrapped their arms around each other and walked in a group. Aela lead the way, always being the more sensible one.35
They came to the great door, pure mahogany wood, with a great lion head doorknocker,36
"Lets see what’s inside, shall we?" Aela said, with a cheeky grin on her face.37
The others watched in awe as Aela slowly opened the door, a gust of wind blowing past her, gushing leaves all around her.38
She laughed and walked in, her boots clunking off the stone floor,39
"You guys come in here, this place is beautiful!" she laughed whilst turning around and staring at the chandelier, the candles long since burnt.40
The murals painted on the walls were exquisite, even if they had peeled slightly. It was off the gates of hell and heaven, purgatory. She walked around with her head up staring. The others remained in the doorway,41
"Come on Aela, I’m bored, lets go crash at mine!" shouted Claudia.42
Aela shook her head,43
"I’m staying here, I’ll meet you lot later." she carried on walked, mesmerized.44
"See ya!" shouted Crow as the left.45
She never noticed the door blew shut as they left.46
She walked over to the stairway, a red carpet going up it. Carved into the banister where beautiful roses and vies. She felts them with her fingertips and let out a startled gasp when she pricked her finger on the rose thorn.47
As she walked up the stairs, a Raven silently watched her atop of a statue of a crying woman. She stared at it for a while, cocking her head like the Raven did. She then watched as it flew away into a candlelit room.48
Her heart beat faster as she saw the shadow of the candle flicker and dance. She walked over slowly and peeped her head round the door, to see a room, with golden wallpaper that was slowly peeling, a large golden and ivory printed lounge sofa was in front of the fireplace, the raven had made itself at home on the windowsill. The room was bare except for the sofa and a small coffee table with a few candles, which were alight, on it.49
She walked over to the sofa and sat down, the fire was aflame. Aela became uneasy as the raven began to caw loudly,50
"Shh little bird!" she hissed.51
Surprisingly it did as she was told.52
She lay on the sofa and closed her darkest of darkest brown eyes and felt the heat of the fire dance against her face.53
As she began to fall into a light sleep, she felt a cold hand touch her shoulder,54
"What are you doing in my home?"
