The scene opens up with Mac Beat and Christy Clevens up in a tree house with six bags they packed for their journey. It’s June 27th 3368 at 6:30pm. Mac’s Mom enters halfway through scene one from the left side of the screen. At the end Layla Crest enters the same way.27

MM: "Mac, oh Mac! Where are you honey?”28

C: “Do you really think we can pull this off?”29

M: “Trust me, Christy, with you here; I can pull off anything, as long as we are Quie...30

MM: “Mac honey, there you are! What are you doing up in your tree house in the middle of the night? And why are you carrying those bags?”31

M: “Um...sleep over?”32

C: “(Oh please), we were going to spend the night in this tree so we could write our new album, is that alright with you?”33

MM: “Yes it is, but I wish you would’ve come and told me Mac so I didn’t have to go searching for you.”34

M: “Sorry mom”35

MM: “Stay out of trouble”36

M: “Alright mom, see you in the morning! See, told you we could pull this off.”37

C: “...”38

M: “Now, all we have to do is wait for Layla to show up” 39

C: “You do realize we might die.”40

M: “Of course not, you are the strongest, fastest, most powerful human on this planet, and I am the greatest entertainer alive! There is no way some android is gonna defeat us.”41

C: …42

L: “Hey guys, what’s up?”43

M: “Hey Layla, you ready?”44

L: “Ready as always, Mac.”45

M: “Let’s head out then.”46

C: “Wait, let’s head over to Jean’s house, maybe she could help us!”47

M: “How?”48

C: “She knows someone who has a very strong power, capable of destroying a city!”49

L: “We should check that out first then.”50

M: “let’s go!”51

(Mac, Layla, and Christy exit through the left with all the bags from the tree house.)52

Scene 253

Scene two opens with Layla, Christy, and Mac walking into Jean’s house searching for Jean. Jessica enters in the beginning of the scene through a door on the right side of the screen. Jean joins later coming from the kitchen on the far end of the house.54

C: “Jean?”55

J: “Hello, you must be the amazing warrior everyone has been talking about.”56

C: “And who are you?”57

J: “Oh I’m sorry; my name is Jessica Taulms, the Daughter of Akira the great.”58

M: “And where are you from where?”59

J: “Namu”60

M: “And exactly where is that?”61

JJ: “It’s a distant planet, about 360,000 light years away I’d say.”62

J: “Ah, I see you’ve met Jessica. Christy, this is who I was talking about.”63

C: “So, exactly, what is your power that I keep hearing about?”64

JJ: “Black Magic”65

C: “Oh...I see”66

JJ: “Now who is this young man?”67

C: “Oh him? That’s Mac.”68

L: “O.K. Enough chit chat already! We’ve got a city to save!”69

C: “Right, Jessica, will join us and help save the city of Kumara?”70

J: “What Happened?”71

M: “An android took over.”72

J: “I’d love to help you.”73

M: “K, let’s go”74

(Christy, Layla, Mac, and Jessica leave through the front door of the house. Jean heads back into the kitchen where she started.)75

Scene Three76

Scene three opens up with a small town. Layla, Christy, and Mac are seen standing near Septera who is terrorizing a civilian. Jessica enters later swinging from a rope from a near by tower. They are joined later by Takayuki Ishikawa who enters in from behind Layla, Christy, and Mac.77

SE: “I will destroy this city for good, no survivors!”78

C: “Prepare to die, Septara!”79

SE: “What are you kids doing here? Isn’t it past your bedtime?”80

L: “KIDS? Oh...let me at her, I’ll get her, don’t try to stop me81

M: “Chill out Layla!”82

C: “Really Layla, if we want to beat her we have to work as a team, K?”83

L: “Right, team work, right, work as a team.”84

M: “Hey, you guys, where’d Jessica go to?”85

J: “Look out below! (Swings down on a vine from a nearby tree and waps Septara on the head, knocking her to the ground.) Gotcha!”86

SE: “Why you little pest, I’ll destroy you, I will destroy you all! HAHAHA!”87

T: “Takayuki Ishikawa at your service my lady.”88

M: “YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!!”89

J: “No silly, he is my brother; he has come to help us!”90

C: “How many people do you think we need? Before we know it we can form a gang of crime fighting heroes!”91

M: “I’ll be sailor moon!”92

L: “This is not the time for your humor! We must destroy this android before it destroys this city!”93

M: “Sorry ‘bout that.”94

T, M: (Takayuki and Mac race to Septera.) “Marta kota!95

SE: “Aaaaahhhhhhh!”96

M: (walks back to Christy, Layla, and Jessica) “Done.”97

C: “Where in the world did you get so much power in such short notice?”98

M: “Oh no where, just trained a lot and g...”99

L: “Do you have anything to do with this Jessica?”100

J: “Of course, I powered you all up!”101

C: “But how can this be, it’s been proven to be impossible!”102

J: “On my planet, nothing is impossible”103

(Curtains close with them standing there.)104

Scene Four105

Scene four opens with Mac sitting at the dining room table and Jean in the kitchen cooking over a gas oven. Christy and Layla are also sitting at the table quietly talking amongst themselves. Jessica joins later from the right of the table.106

M: “Mmmm that was a good meal Jean, thanks!”107

JJ: “Why thank you Mac, would you like some more?”108

M: “No thank you, I’m full.”109

JJ: “All right, suit yourself.”110

J: “Hey, Mac! Do you want to come to my house and help me pack?”111

M: “Sure, be right there.”112

L: “Christy?”113

C: “Yea?”114

L: “Do you suspect anything?”115

C: “What do you mean?”116

L: “I mean between Jessica and Mac!”117

C: “No, Why?”118

L: “Well, it’s just that they’ve been acting very strangely.”119

C: “I haven’t noticed anything lately?”120

L: “Hmm, oh well, it doesn’t matter.”121

Jessica’s House122

M: “Here, let me get that for you.”123

J: “You’re a very nice young man Mac.”124

M: “Well, I’ve always been good with girls.”125

M: “I use to, until the day he died, and then my mother took care of me from then on.”129

M: “Oh, I tell him how I’m doing, the latest events, and a whole lot of other stuff like that.”135

J: “Does he ever talk back?”136

C: “I wonder what’s taking them so long.”141

JJ: “They’ve been gone for four hours!”142

M: “Hey, sorry we took so long.”143

M: “No, (Walks into the kitchen, takes out a 7-up, opens it, and walks into his room).”145

L: (Walks in from the kitchen door) “What’s up with him?”146

J: “Nothing, I would just suggest not to talk to him for a while.”147

L: “Why?”148

J: “That’s only for me and him to know.”149

C: “Why can’t you tell us?”150

J: “Why can’t you guys stay out of our business?” (Jessica heads to Mac’s bedroom)151

C: “People from Namu really have attitudes!”152

L: “No, only when they’re hiding something from someone else.”153

C: “I sure hope Mac’s ok!”154

(Curtains close with Christy and Layla sitting on the couch.)155

Scene Five156

Scene five opens with Christy and Layla sitting on the couch reading magazines. Jean is in the kitchen making waffles for breakfast. Mac joins later through door 1. Jessica rushes through door 1 later in the scene. Towards the end of the scene, Jean exits through the pre-made “crack” in the floor157

C: “Mac hasn’t said anything for days now!”158

L: “I wonder if this has anything to do with Jessica.”159

C: “Yea, she’s been acting strangely, hasn’t she?”160

JJ: “Hey, Mac, you want some waffles?”161

M: “...”162

C: “Mac, is there anything wrong?”163

M: “Yes there is as a matter of fact.”164

L: “What?”165

M: “My father told me of a great killer, a killer so vicious on the inside, but very gentle on the outside. That killer was the one who killed my family, friends, and relatives. The killer was said to have a kind greeting for everyone she meets! She’s said to befriend and use other people! Who fits that better then Jean!166

C: “Are you crazy? Jean’s no killer!”167

M: “Gentle on the outside.”168

C: “I won’t believe it!”169

M: “Oh, but you must!”170

L: “Jean! Please tell us he’s wrong!”171

JJ: “I…uh…I…(Jean let’s out a exasperated sigh) It’s true, I killed his family, his friends, his fame, fortune, I killed it all, but when I went to kill him, I couldn’t, so instead of trying to kill him, I let him grow up and I became friends with him, just waiting for the perfect time to strike him, no, all of you!”172

L: “What did we ever do to you?”173

JJ: “Nothing, I just thought it would be fun, I mean everyone experiments.”174

L: “What is your problem?!”175

JJ: “What is my problem?! Hah! O.K., first of all, Mac’s dad tried to kill me first!”176

M: “My dad would never do such a thing!”177

JJ: “Sure, that’s what you think.”178

M: “He hasn’t even seen an R rated movie.”179

JJ: “He thought I would say those words, that’s why.” 180

M: “Well that’s what you think! My dad is a kind and honest man! The only time he would ever hurt a fly is when someone does something horribly bad or tries to kill him!”181

JJ: “Your dad was puny but strong, and he still is.”182

M: “How could he be strong when he is dead!?”183

JJ: “No I’m not! How dare you call me a liar!” (Jean slaps Mac across the face sending him flying to the ground towards Layla)186

J: “Oh, really? (Ground starts splitting under Jean.)”202

Scene six opens with Christy Walking through door 2. Layla is lying on the couch reading a magazine. Mac comes out later from door 1. 218

C: “Good morning everyone! Time for a nice big breakfast, what do you say? Guys?”219

L: “SSHHH! Mac’s still sleeping!220

C: “Oh, sorry. Where’s Jessica?”221

L: “She’s also asleep.”222

C: “Are they...?”223

L: “No, they’re just friends still, but just wait; she'll end up hooked to him any day now!”224

C: “Isn’t that a good thing though? I mean she will help Mac get a hold of life!”225

L: “I could’ve showed him that too!” (Walks into kitchen to fix breakfast)226

M: “What was that about?”227

C: “Oh hey Mac, I think she’s a little jealous, what do you think?”228

M: “Ummm... Hey, Jessica knows of some warriors on her planet that promised to help me find my father!”229

C: “That’s great! When do we leave?”230

M: “Well, it was only going to be me and Jessica.”231

C: “Oh, well that’s ok too, I guess.”232

M: “Maybe we can meet up later, K?233

J: “I got us reservations for the restaurant. I have a surprise for you when we get there.”262

JM: “Jessica? Is that you?”267

J: “Last time I checked it was!”268

JM: “Oh, it’s good to see you honey.”269

J: “Mac, this is my mother Anne.”270

M: “Your mother?!”271

J: “She came to earth a few years ago to see what it was like to live a human’s life.”272

M: “Well, we aren’t that interesting, are we?”273

JM: “You creatures are the most interesting of them all!”274

M: “Wow that makes me wonder about the rest of the galaxies.”275

JM: “Come, have a seat. Now Jessica, what brings you here?”276

J: “Mac is on a search for his father, and I was wondering if I could get a ride back to Namu so I could talk to our warriors.”277

JM: “Of course dear. Just talk to Mr. Sota Fujimori; maybe he could aid you in some way.”278

J: “Thank you mother. Maybe we could have dinner some other time.”279

JM: “Anytime dear, anytime.”280

(Jessica and Mac stand up and walk over toward Sota Fujimori)281

J: “Hello. Are you Sota Fujimori?”282

S: “Yes I am. Are you in any danger or in need of a ride to Namu?”283

J: “Actually, both.”284

S: “I see. Your names please.”285

J: “This is Mac Beat, and I’m Jessica Taulms.”286

S: “Oh my. (Falls to his knees) I am terribly sorry Ms. Taulms. If there is anything I can do for you, just ask.287

J: “Umm… you could start by getting us to Namu. Then possibly helping us find the Namu warriors.”288

S: “Done. Just follow me to the ship.”289

(Sota Fujimori Leads Mac and Jessica out the right side of the stage.)290

Scene Seven291

Sota Fujimori is seen sitting in the driver’s seat of the space ship. Jessica and Mac are in seats behind him. The window next to Jessica shows a space ship following them.292

J: “So, Sota, exactly who are you, and why am I so important to you?293

S: “I apologize for not telling you earlier. I am the head of the Namu warriors. You, Mrs. Taulms, are a very special young lady. You are important to everyone on Namu and earth. Not only are you the strongest elf, but you are also the wisest and have overcome everything that has ever come your way. You are a gifted person, and I would be honored to join you in your travels, so would my warriors. Now, if you don’t mind, who is this young man?”294

M: “I’m Mac. I am only an earthling that creates entertainment for people. I really don’t have any special abilities or secret powers.”295

S: “Mac, Sometimes all you need to be strong is not secret abilities or powers, but love and friendship. If you hang on to the bonds you have made throughout the years, you could become fearless and ready for anything. Without them you’re nothing but a coward.”296

J: “Who is that?”297

S: “****, everyone, get down. 298

M: “What?!”299

S: “GET DOWN!”300

J: “Mac!” (Arrow flies through the side of the ship aimed for Jessica.)301

M: “Jessica, look out!” (Dives and pushes her out of the way.)302

J: “What was that?”303

M: “A Slayer.” 304

J: “Excuse me?”305

S: “Poison arrow. The aborigine tribe in Australia used to use them for hunting. They put the victim into a deep sleep for hours!306

M: “Who are they?”307

S: “I don’t know, but this is my second encounter with them.”308

M: “Second?”309

S: “Yes, I saw them a few years ago. They blew up my ship and left me stranded here for days.”310

J: “That’s Terrible!”311

M: “We can’t let it happen again! Who’s with me?”312

J: “Count me in!”313

S: “We can’t just go out and fight them, they’ll kick our butts! I say we try to drive them away somehow.”314

M: “Right. Sota, get a flair from your geisha pack. Jessica, take the wheel. Steer us toward them when I give you the signal.”315

J: “Right.”316

M: “Sota! Open the emergency exit and light the flair!”317

S: … “Done!”318

M: “Jessica! Now!”319

(Jessica steers right for the unknown ship)320

M: “Throw the flair!”321

(Sota throws flair right next to the back end of the ship. The unknown ship then comes to a stop and begins to fire at Sota standing at the open hatch.)322

S: “****! I’m hit!”323

M: “Where?!”324

S: “My leg!”325

M: “How bad? Should I come get you?!”326

S: “No, I’ll be fine. (Tries to stand and falls down the stairs to the third corridor.)327

J: “Sota?!”328

S: “Mac! I lied; I guess I do need help after all.”329

M: (****!) Jessica!”330

J: “Yea?”331

M: “Can you handle the ship for a while? There should be a map somewhere around there!”332

J: “I’ve got it under control!”333

S: “Mac!”334

M: “Hold on a second! Just take us to Namu while I help Sota!”335

J: “Got it!”336

M: “Sota!? Where’d you go?”337

S: “Right here Mac.” (Sota is seen sitting on the ceiling upside down)338

M: “What did you do!?”339

S: “I heal quickly. (Floats back down to the ground.) 340

M: “How’d you do that?”341

S: “What, that? My father taught me when I was six.”342

M: “Oh…”343

S: “I’m sorry for your father, I’m sure you’ll find him one day. Until then, promise me you won’t give up hope.”344

M: “I promise.”345

J: “Hey! How do you land this thing?”346

M: “Oh great!”347

(The scene closes with Sota and Mac rushing back to the front of the ship.)348

Scene 8349

The scene opens with Jessica, Mac, and Sota leaving the ship and stepping onto a specialized dock. Naoki enters later in the scene out door 3. Zidane also enters later in the scene through door 4.350

J: (Yawns) “Let’s go get some rest at Sota’s house. What do you say?”351

S: “I would like to first get some friends together on the WON.”352

M: “I’ll go with you. How about you, Jessica?”353

J: “I think I’ll visit my father first. I’ll meet you at your house. K?”354

M: “Suit yourself.”355

Naoki’s House356

(Sota knocks on the door.)357

M: “Whose house is this?”358

S: “A friend of mine.”359

N: (Naoki opens door) “Sota? What brings you here?”360

S: “I am very sorry to have disturbed you, but I need you to come with me.”361

N: “Where are we going?”362

S: “WON is needed.”363

N: “Yes sir. I’ll gather up the lot.”364

S: “Thank you.”365

M: “Sorry to bother you, but what does WON stand for?366

S: “Warriors of Namu. Let’s head to my house.”367

Sota’s House368

N: “I could only get a hold of Zidane sir.”369

S: “Where is he?”370

N: “He’s on his way sir.”371

S: “Where is everyone else?”372

N: “…Dead sir”373

S: “Oh my… How long have I been gone?”374

N: “A year, sir.”375

S: “How’d they die?”376

N: “Septera.”377

S: “Who?”378

Z: “I made it here as soon as I could. What is the urgency?”379

M: “She’s back…”380

M: “I thought Jessica killed her, but I guess not. This could be the beginning of the biggest galactic battle we have ever seen.”382

S: “Naoki, Zidane!”383

N, Z: “Yes, sir?”384

S: “Go to the east side of town and round up all able bodied men!”385

N: “Right away, sir.” (Leaves the house)386

S: “Now, if you would like, you may rest upstairs in my spare bedroom.”387

M: “Thank you for everything Sota.”388

S: “Anything for Jessica’s future daishi.”389

M: Daishi?390

S: “Get some rest…You’ll need it.”391

M: “I…Thanks Sota.”392

(The scene ends with Mac walking towards the stairs and Sota sitting at the dining room table.)393

Scene Eight394

Scene eight opens with Jessica standing over Mac who is lying in bed. Septera joins later with a little boy. She enters through door 5. They are joined by Layla and Christy from the north entrance of the stage. Chris joins last from the left side of his house where they will end up.395

J: “Mac…Mac…?”396

M: “Hmmm?”397

J: “It’s Time.”398

M: “Time for What?”399

J: “leave, before it’s too late.”400

M: “What are you talking about?”401

J: “I have to do this for my father.”402

(The door opens and Septera steps in with a little boy.)403

M: “What..!?”404

SE: “Thank you Jessica. Mac. Mac, Mac, Mac. So how’d you end up here?405

J: “I…”406

SE: “Let me answer that. (Septera walks over with a short sword to Jessica’s neck.) Jessica.”407

M: “Don’t you hurt her!”408

SE: “My dear, dear Mac. Such awful thoughts your mind has. I would never even think of hurting her. I was going to give her a painless death!”409

J: “HUH!?”410

SE: “Oh, I didn’t tell you Jessica? I’m sorry, but it was in that contract you signed for your father’s life. After the death of a loved one, Mac Beat, it said that you would give your life in return for it to be fair since your father is a very important man.”411

J: “You’re not going to kill Mac are you?!”412

SE: “Of course. He’s a loved one isn’t he?”413

J: “…No. I don’t love him.”414

SE: “Well then, I can just kill him for fun.”415

J: “NO!”416

(Septera dives for Mac. Mac jumps up and leaps out the window with Jessica.)417

SE: (To herself) “You can run Mac, but you can’t hide.”418

C: “Mac!!!”419

M: “Huh? Christie, Layla! What are you guys doing here?”420

C: “I told you we would meet up again sometime.”421

L: “Septera’s alive!”422

M: “Yea, we know. I met her up close and personal. She has a contract with Jessica to kill her, and an urge to kill me.”423

C: “She’s just not going to give up is she?”424

M: “Not the way it looks now. Jessica, do you know a place we could go to hide out for a while?”425

J: “Yea. We can go to Chris’ house for a while. It’s underground.”426

L: “We should probably leave now before she comes after us.”427

J: “Chris! Chris! Answer the door!429

CH: “Can I help you people?”430

J: “Where the heck were you?”431

CH: “In the back, is there something you need?”432

J: “Your house.”433

CH: “What do you need my house for?”434

J: “Not enough time to explain.” (Jessica pulls out a gun and points it at his head)435

CH: “What’s wrong with you? Do I know you?”436

M: “Put that gun down right now, Jessica!”437

CH: “Jessica? Jessica Taulms?”438

J: “Let…Us…In!”439

CH: “Yes Ma’am.”440

(They all walk in. Jessica motions to Chris with the gun to sit down)441

J: “I’m not your enemy Chris. Thank you for your house, sorry for the gun, and…I know there’s something I forgot. Oh, thanks Mac for making this easier than it would’ve been.”442

CH: “What’s happened? Is something after you?”443

M: “Septera is back and wants revenge. Will you help us rid the world of her?”444

CH: “I’ll tell you what, son. Let’s get some sleep and tomorrow morning we’ll talk about it. You may stay in the spare bedroom upstairs.”445

L: “Thank you, sir.”446

CH: “No problem”447

(Layla and Christy head upstairs to the bedroom. Jessica heads to the couch to sleep. Mac follows her.)448

M: So…449

J: “Can’t sleep?”450

M: “Haven’t tried. I can’t get my father out of my head.”451

J: “You’ll find him Mac. I’ll make sure of it. For now, why don’t you get some sleep? We can try again tomorrow.”452

M: “Alright. Goodnight Jessica.”453

J: “Night Mac.”454

(Mac heads upstairs to the spare bedroom. Curtain Closes.)455

Scene Nine456

Scene nine opens with Chris sitting at the dining room table. Jessica walks across the stage to him and sits down. She then later runs up through door 5. We see Mac, Layla, and Christy lying in beds or on the floor sleeping. The scene then takes us outside to Chris’ car where they end up.457

CH: “How’d you sleep last night, Mrs. Taulms?458

J: “You can call me Jessica. I slept very well, how about you?”459

CH: “Not too bad. Where’s the rest of your gang?”460

J: “Probably still sleeping. Have you ever heard of a man by the name of Michael Parkins?”461

CH: “Are you going to shoot me if I don’t tell you?”462

J: “No, but this information will help Mac.”463

CH: “I have. He works in the city of Kumara or so I’ve heard.”464

J: “Are you serious?! My god. We must leave right away!”465

CH: “That is not a smart thing to do while That Septera demon is still free!”466

J: “That’s why we have to leave now! If Septera finds out about this, she’ll kill him!”467

(Jessica runs up the stairs and throws open the door to the spare bedroom.)468

J: “Mac! I’ve found your father! He’s about 125 miles from here!”469

M: “You’re kidding!”470

J: “No I’m not! We have to head out now so we can find him before Septera does!”471

C: “Let’s pack and leave now!”472

L: (Runs downstairs to Chris.) “Can I have your E-name so I could maybe talk to you sometime?”473

CH: “Umm…Sure. It’s kutie2244.474

L: “Oh…Thank you soo much! Mines hotstuff789!”475

CH: “You’re pretty cute!”476

L: “Thanks so are you!”477

J: “What are you doing?! We have to leave right now! Chris, may we borrow your car? I promise to return it on our trip back.”478

CH: “Sure, but if it gets wrecked, you’re paying for it.”479

J: “Fair enough. Come on you guys, let’s go!”480

(They all head out to the car. They pack their stuff into the back, and then slid in one by one into the car. Curtain Closes.)481

Scene Ten482

Scene 10 takes us to a small city a couple hundred miles from Kumara. Jessica is at a desk of a motel checking into a room. Mac, Christy, and Layla are seen talking by the luggage near the front door of the motel. Christy and Layla both leave in the scene through door 6 along with Mac later.483

M: “Why’d you guys come? You could’ve been found and even killed by Septera!”484

L: “We came for you, Mac. We are like family. I’ve known you and Christy since I was two. That’s long enough to legally call you my brother, don’t you think?”485

C: “Same here Mac. I mean, you and I have known each other for what, 18 years now? I was at least three when I was first introduced to you. No one can separate a friendship like that.”486

M: “You guys are right. I shouldn’t have run off with Jessica like that. I’m sorry.”487

L: “Hey, let’s not get too mushy here. I still am tired from the eight hour drive from Chris’ house. I can’t handle stuff like that right now!” (Layla stands up and walks over to Jessica. She whispers something into her ear. Jessica nods and Layla heads out the front door.)488

M: “What was that all about?”489

C: “Umm…I’ll be right back, Mac.” (Christy stands and walks over to Jessica. She whispers something in Jessica’s ear. Jessica whispers something back. Christy walks out the front door to join Layla.)490

M: (Mac stands and walks over to Jessica.) “Where’d they go?”491

J: “They went out to get some fresh air I guess.”492

M: “Fresh air!? What was it that you told them just a minute ago!?”493

J: “They just told me they were going to go down the road to a coffee shop! They asked me to tell you not to let you go.”494

M: “I don’t care what they said! I’m leaving!” (Mac storms out the door.)495

Coffee Shop496

M: “What is going on here!? Is there something you guys want to tell me?!497

L: “No!” (Layla scrapes up some papers that were lying on the table and attempts to shove them in her coat.)498

M: “What are these?” (Mac grabs for the papers from Layla’s hand. Christy tries to stop him. Mac slaps Christy and pulls Layla out of the booth. He is now holding the papers in his hand. He holds them up and begins to read them.) “This contract inquires that Christy Clevens and Layla Crest are certified assassins hired by Jessica Taulms to hunt down and kill Mac Beat…”499

C: (Crying) “I can explain Mac! I can explain everything!”500

M: “Explain what?! That you would be willing to give up a “close” friendship like ours for money!? You make me sick.”501

L: “It’s not about the money.”502

M: “Well, if it’s not about the money, then what is it about? Jealousy maybe? Fame? Is it a disease that I don’t know about!?”503

C: “Mac…it was…”504

M: “Don’t even try to explain anything.” (Mac throws the papers to the ground, turns around and angrily leaves the coffee shop through door 6.)505

(The scene ends with Christy and Layla lying on the floor of the coffee shop feeling the guilt drown them. Curtains close.)506

Scene Eleven507

The scene opens with Mac standing on a bridge looking out at the water. Jessica walks in from the left side of the bridge to join Mac.508

J: “May I explain what happened today?”509

M: “Go ahead. I would love to find out what a second hand killers incentive would be!”510

J: “Mac, Septera threatened them to do this. She hoped it would do exactly what is happening now! I f you don’t come back, she could murder you now that you’re alone.”511

M: “Why should I trust you? I don’t have any reason to.”512

J: “Yes I know, but our lives are in danger here! You have to believe me!”513

M: “I’m going to go for a walk. I’ll see you tonight. Maybe.” (Mac turns and walks down the road toward another village. Soon Mac is nowhere to be seen.)514

S: “So, Mac decided not to trust you after all. Too bad.”515

J: (Septera’s bodyguards grab Jessica and restrain her.)“Septera! Mac! Mac!”516

S: “No use. My men probably already have him tied up. He will see you tonight. Ha Ha Ha!517

J: “Why are you doing this!?”518

S: “I would explain now, but I need Mac to be here to get the full emotion of the scene.”519

J: “What makes you think he’s going to be here?”520

S: “Oh, he will be. Trust me.”521

The Town of Oki522

M: “Excuse me ma’am. Could you tell me where I could rent a hover car to get to Kumara?”523

OW: “Yes, just down the road there. Are you a wanderer?”524

M: “You could say that.”525

(Mac walks down the road, but is suddenly stopped by some of Septera’s Body Guards.)526

BG1: “Come with us, Mac. Septera is expecting you.”527

M: “And I suppose you’re here to escort me.”528

BG2: “Just get in the car.”(Points to car parked across the street)529

M: “You expect me to just walk over with no objection and climb into that car to my death?”530

BG1: “If you would like to make this a little more bloody, we could arrange that.” (BG1 Walks over to Mac and grips his hand around his neck and picks him up from the ground.)531

M: Ugghhh! Put me down! Can’t…Breathe…! (Mac struggles for a few more seconds before giving in and passing out.)532
