Elise's POV1

Oh my god im so nervous. I thought to myself as i stood at the gate of the 2

arriving flights at LAX waiting for my best friend Sam and her boyfriend 3

Adam to arrive. They were comming to live with me. Ever since me and Sam 4

were little kids we talked about moving to cali, and after i finally did it 5

when i was 17 shes been wanting to come out. So here we are a year later and 6

shes getting off a plane to come live with me. I'm excited and nervous 7

because i miss the hell out of sam, but i've never met her boyfriend, and i 8

havent seen Sam in a whole year...things might be different, but i doubt it. 9

I saw a really tall, really attractive guy walking through to baggage claim. 10

He had short borwn hair. We caught eyes, he has these extreamly dark brown 11

eyes that almost looked black, they were amazing. I noticed he was wearing 12

boots, a long sleeve button down shirt with a long sleeve shirt under it. It 13

was winter here in California....so he was deffinetley an East Coast boy, 14

like i used to be an east coast girl...but not anymore. I guess i was 15

alittle preoccupied staring at this extreamly hot guy to notice that Sam was 16

walking not too far behind him follow by another guy, presumably her 17

boyfriend, he was short probably around 5'5, he had black hair that was just 18

past his ears and did this wearid flip right across his forhead, but it was 19

cute. he had a slight 5 o'clock shadow and dark blue eyes. I have admit he 20

aws pretty cute. Which is completley her type, short and cute.21

"You must be Elise" The hot guy said as he approached me with his hand 22

out-streched.23

"Uh yeah I'm Elise, who are you?" i asked confused as i shook his hand.24

"I'm Adam, Sam's boyfriend" he said happily. Dammit now hes off limits...ahh 25

but hes so hot.26

"Elise!!!!" Sam yelled and ran up to me and engulfed me in a huge "I miss my 27

bestfriend so much hug" When we broke apart from our long hug that other guy 28

was standing next Adam talking to him.29

"Whos that?" i whispered to Sam as she stood close by my side. Sam was only 30

2 inches taller then me, and me being 5 feet tall i feel really good when i 31

stand next to her. Sam has that girl next door look she has natural Dirty 32

Blonde hair down to her shoulders and bright blue eyes, she has a slender 33

frame, but ever since we hit high school she got these huge boobs...needless 34

to say she always got the really hot guys. She arrived wearing Sweat pants 35

and a hoodie over a small tanktop, I warned her that it wasnt as cold as it 36

is back in connecticut here in the winter.37

"Oh thats Matt, Matt come here!" she yelled to him and waved him over.38

"Matt this is Elise, we're staying at her house" she said as she introduced 39

us my temper started to flare. Why didnt she tell me she was bringing 40

someone else i barley have enough room for the two of them, and why is he 41

even here whats his purpose?!42

"Hello Matt" i said and gave him a hug, expertly hiding my anger.43

"Oh Hello" he said and hugged back. After we broke apart he walked back over 44

to Adam who was standing at baggage claim waiting for their bags to come.45

"Did you get the boxes?" Sam asked worried.46

"Oh shit i forgot to tell you, no i never got them...they must have gotten 47

lost in the mail" i said with a scared look on my face joking around. "Are 48

you serious?" Sam said getting mad that her stuff was lost.49

"No im just playing, i have them all in yours and Adam's room...but whats 50

with this other dude Sam why didnt you tell me you were bringing him?" i 51

asked kind of annoyed. See even we were younger Sam would do things like 52

this. Like she would tell you to clear your schedule for a week because she 53

was going on vacation and you were comming, but once the day came and i was 54

all packed. She'd be like "Oh i forgot to tell you we cancled that" So i 55

pretty much have gotten used to surprises and dissapointment with Sam. "Oh 56

yeah Matt, i forgot to tell you about Matt." she said the line i had 57

amtisipated from the first word.58

"Well hes Adams bestfriend...and well he lived with Adam and when Adam told 59

him he was leaving to california with me Matt knew he couldnt keep up the 60

rent by himself, so he asked to come along. He had nothing else going for 61

him back in New York, so me and Adam decided why not and we both chipped in 62

and bought him a ticket. I figured you wouldnt mind because hes hot." She 63

said ending in laughter, which made me laugh.64

"Yeah i guess its alright" i said and me and Sam stood there watching the 65

guys Haul bags off the conveor belt and catching up on the last year.66

After the guys were done getting all the bags, we headed back to my car.67

"Oh god Elise...where did you get this?" Sam asked as she ran her hand along 68

the side of my 1998 Ford Mustang Convertable.69

"my grandfather never used it so when i lived with him he gave it to me" i 70

said back as i unlocked the trunk and Adam came over with the bags.71

"Thanks again Elise, you're really great for letting us all come live with 72

you. I'm sure we'll all become great friends." he said and ended winking at 73

me. What was that supposed to mean? I thought to myself as i assisted Matt 74

in pushing more bags into the trunk.75

"So what are the sleeping arangements?" he asked casually as we shoved the 76

4th bag in the back.77

"Oh well Adam and Sam have a room, i have my own room...and uh i guess you 78

have the fouton in my room..i wasnt really expecting another person i kind 79

of only planned for those two" i said pointing at Sam and Adam standing 80

leaned up against the side of the car.81

"Oh, well thats great...HEY DOUCHE!" he said then yelled at Adam.82

"Why didnt you tell me she has NO idea i was comming?!" Adam turned toward 83

him84

"Sam said she knew" he said back calmly. Sam turned her head away from 85

everyone.86

"Sam..." Matt said87

"I kinda forgot.." she said trailing off and getting into the back seat with 88

Adam.89

"I'm really sorry, i'll find a place of my own as soon as possible."He said 90

frustratedly slamming the trunk shut.91

"No its fine..i'm not angry...just surprised, and i like surprises" i said 92

back laughing. He gave me the cutest smile then walked to the passengers 93

side.94

"Ooohh i get shotgun and i dont even have to fight with Adam." he said 95

excited then slid into the passengers seat. Then we were on our way.96

When we got back to my apartment Matt and Adam dragged all the bags up to 97

the door.98

"Here we are welcome to apartment 10L "i said excitedly and unlocked the 99

door.100

There was a small hallway leading into a spacious living room with no 101

furniture that had a small ghetto blacony that over looked the ocean. From 102

the living room you could walk into the kitchen which was extreamly small, 103

the dinner table and chairs, a plastic patio set, sat kiddie corner just 104

outside the entrence of the kitchen. There was a small hall way that lead to 105

a bathroom when you looked straight then if you looked to your right there 106

was a bed room already filled with boxes.107

"This will be your room" i said to Sam as i lead Sam, Adam, and matt through 108

the apartment. they walked in and threw thier bags on the floor. then i 109

turned right and grabbed Matts free hand since he only had one bag of his 110

own.111

"And this is our room i guess". I said leading him into the Master bedroom 112

which was quite spacious, it even has its own bathroom.113

"This is nice" he said absently as he stared around the room at my bizzare 114

decor. I had a bed pushed up against the wall with an invader Zim bed set 115

strewn across the bed. Then not to far from the end bed there was a fouton 116

in the upright position facing the t.v at the wall at the end of the bed. I 117

led him to the bathroom.118

"I guess this is "our" bathroom now" i said with a laugh " and that one is 119

Sam and Adams" i said pointing towards the door.120

"Alright" Matt said as he plopped down then he started talking again "You 121

know i could always sleep on the living room floor" he said looking 122

uncomfortable.123

"Well you'll get realy cold in there at night...the ocean makes it kind of 124

cold, and that sliding glass door barley shuts...but be my guest if you dont 125

want to room with me then so be it" i said jokingly.126

"Ok you convinced me" he said as he layid back on the fouton. "Got any good 127

places to eat around here?" he asked and my eyes brightened up.128

"YES! el bj its the best burriot place, and its like right aroudn he corner" 129

i said excited. "So do you wanna go?!" i asked quickly130

"Yeah sure" matt said and i ran to Sam to tell her.131

"Sam, me and Matt are gonna go to that palce i told you about...you 132

know...el bj, and i was wondering if you and Adam wanted to come." i said as 133

i leaned in the doorway.134

"Oh no you and Matt go, me and Adam still have to un-pack and stuff.135

"Alrighty then..." i said unconvinced that was the real reason and returned 136

to my room. "OK lets go" i said as i walked in to matt with no shirt on. "Oh 137

oops" i said and giggled. "Its fine i'm just chaging out of this sweater it 138

is NOT cold here at all" matt said then slipped a shirt over his head and we 139

were off.140

Sams POV141

When we got back to Elise's apartment i was surprised to see how big it 142

actually was.143

"How does she afford this?" Adam said after Elise showed me and him to our 144

room and we began to unpack and she showed matt where ever he was sleeping.145

"Well as you can see there is pretty much No furniture so i think that takes 146

car of most of the money situation, and she has a good job." i said to Adam 147

as we folded clothes into a dresser that was in the room along with an air 148

mattress.149

"i think its great" Adam said as he threw himself onto the air matress and 150

stared at the ceiling.151

" Yeah its nice, but it could be nicer...once we get jobs we'll help her out 152

and get some real furniture in here." i said as i looked around our room. It 153

was plenty big enough to fit two people in and it had a great view.154

"So shes really only 18 and shes doing this much better then us?" Adam asked 155

seriously as he looekd around. Adam was only 19 but i was 20, and i should 156

have had my own apartment by now too. But i just moved out of my parents 157

house where me and Adam lived upstairs.158

"Yeah well when she was 17 she pulled her life together and went to college 159

out here...she wanted to do great things so...thats what shes doing." i said 160

and sat down next to Adam.161

"Well maybe some of that will rub off on me and matt and we can start a real 162

band" he said and started to laugh. I yawned163

"God im tired" i said and laid back on the bed.164

"We have to un-pack Sam just help me do atleast one whole box" Adam said 165

whining.166

"Ugh Fine" i got up and started to un-pack. Elise came in and asked us o go 167

to some burritto place with her and Matt but i was so tired and i knew Adam 168

wanted to go but i want to her and matt to get to know eachother, if i know 169

Elise as well as i'm sure i do...they'll hit it off. Thats the only reason i 170

agreed to bringing him, because Elise told me she was having trouble finding 171

a guy out here so i decided Duh Matt...and viola here we are, he staying in 172

her room with her and they are going to get osomething to eat together...Man 173

can i work some magic.174

Elises POV175

When we got to el bj's i ordered a taco burritto then turned to Matt who was 176

staring at the menu in delight.177

"Ohh i'll have the special c" he said and we both ordered large cokes. El B 178

J's was nothing short of a hole in the wall, but it had the best burrittos 179

around. There were small tables on the side of the building we waited there 180

untill they caleld our number. It was about a 5 minute wait, because even 181

though El BJs is small and run down looking alot of people go there for 182

their food.183

"Quatorse!" i heard he man yell out and i sptung up to go get the order.184

"Where are you going?" Matt said looking at me werid.185

"They just called out our number duh!" i said and continued back to the 186

window.187

"They said something like cat-horsey not 14" he said following me.188

"Gracias" i said polietley as the man handed me our bag with our food in it.189

"Oh haha..." Matt said then we went back to our table.190

"So Matt, you and Adam have been friends for a while huh?" i asked the took 191

a small bite of my gigantic burritto192

"Well yeah we've known eachother for a really long time, but i heard you and 193

Sam have known eachother since like diapers" he said shovleing his food into 194

his mouth. "Wow this is awesome" he kept saying. We talked for a while and 195

returned home about an hour and a half later to find Sam and Adam alseep. 196

"haha lets go out again" i said and grabbed matts hand to leave197

"Wait shouldnt i like un-pack or something?" he asked obviously not wanting 198

to go out again.199

"yeah sure, go ahead theres some empty drawers in my dresser that you can 200

use." i said then left the apartment.201

"hey where are you going?" Matt yelled from the second floor down to me as i 202

went to exite the pool area. "I'm going to visit my friend Sophie, i told 203

her i'd come see her soon and that was like last week" i said laughing and 204

matt looked down at me like he wanted to come then sighed "Oh alright, i'll 205

see you later then" he said and then disappeared back into my doorway.206

ADAM'S P.O.V.207

Sam and I slept peacefully for about twenty minutes before I was rudely 208

jerked awake by the phone ringing. I answered it209

"hello?" i said into the reciever.210

"Sorry I think I have the wrong number..." the other person said hurredly 211

then hung up. Okay. I fell back asleep almost instantly before I was rudely 212

awakened once more. Matt was shaking me. "What the-" he covered my mouth and 213

put a finger over his lips. I put the thumbs up and he took his hand away. 214

We snuck out of the room and walked into the spacious living room. "What the 215

hell Matt I was in the middle of a good dream."216

"What was it about?" Matt asked concerned.217

"I dont remember but Im pretty sure it was good." Matt rolled his eyes.218

"I got bored and lonely so I woke you up. Come on lets go explore the 219

neiborhood." He looked at me with pleading eyes.220

"No. Why dont you hang out with Elise she seems like a good catch. You know 221

she has a good job and she's nice and she's pretty." I felt like I was 222

selling a car.223

"She didnt want to hang out with me she went to her friends house or 224

something.." he looked downtrodden.225

"Why dont you go to the beach?" I suggested.226

"No. Im not in the mood."227

"Well Im not your mother find something out yourself im gunna go to sleep." 228

I turned and started to walk away but he stopped me.229

"Adam come on. We could just sit out on the porch or something come on adam 230

dont leave me."231

"yeah okay fine but the porch is as far as I'll go." We opened the sliding 232

glass door and stepped out onto the porch. A cool breeze blew past us and 233

the smell of the ocean filled my nostrils. There was a beautiful view of the 234

ocean you could even see a dolphin come up for air eveyonce in a while. It 235

was a beautiful day, the sun danced in the sky mocking my long sleeves.236

"Jesus its hot out here." I said to Matt when we took a seat on the tall 237

chairs on the porch.238

"Yeah it has to be like 80 degrees." He said back.239

SOPHIE'S P.O.V.240

"Where's my hurley hat?" I opened my eyes. Tom was pacing the length of the 241

room with his hands on his head. He was wearing a white tee-shirt with a 242

gray undershirt and brown dickies. I sat up. "Its four in the moring where 243

are you planning on going?" I asked him. He stopped pacing the small room 244

and looked at me. "Home. I want to get some sleep." He stared at me for a 245

minute then went back to looking around the room. "Why cant you sleep here? 246

I mean it cant be that different from your house can it?" He bent down and 247

reached under my bed then held up his hat in his right hand. "Well your bed 248

is barely big enough for both of us and I am not sleeping on the couch." I 249

looked down at my queen sized bed then back at Tom."Tom why cant you just 250

tell me the truth?" He frowned then put on his hat. "Because the truth 251

hurts.Go back to sleep I'll call you later." He left my room. He's such a 252

jerk. I heard him slam the door when he left the apartment. I rolled over 253

and fell back asleep. I woke up the next morning at 8:50. I got out of bed, 254

showered, got dressed then left for work. I work at Coldstone Creamery an 255

ice cream place about 15 minutes away from my house, every day except for 256

thursdays, sundays and fridays I put on a little hat and apron and sing for 257

tips. I hate my job. I dont understand the whole singing thing, I mean why 258

force me to do anything, Im the one making your food. But I do it with a 259

smile on my face.260

"Coldstone Creamery how can I help you?" I said into the phone a half hour 261

before my shift was over.262

"Hi Sophie, Im gunna need you to cover my shift and close for me."263

"Oh well actually I was supposed to go out with my boyfriend tonight."264

"Come on Shoph I really need your help. My moms super sick she only has a 265

few more days left in her and I want to spend as much time as I can with 266

her...Just this once..."267

"Alright I'll do it but you owe me."268

"yeah okay thanks.." I hate my co-workers. I hung up the phone then picked 269

it up again and dialed Toms cell number. He picked it up on the first ring.270

"Hello?" He sounded bored.271

"Hey Tom I cant make it today I have to work overtime for Melanie."272

"Sophie you knew we were going out tonight. Why would you cover for her?"273

"She really needed my help and.." He cut me off..274

"Whatever I can see how much you value this relationship.."275

"Tom dont do that you know I value us. Its just I really need the money now 276

I can barley pay the rent and im practially living off of Top Ramen noodles 277

for 35 cents at cosco. Please cant we just do it tomarrow I promise I wont 278

cancel or make any other plans.."279

"Yeah whatever when do you get off work?"280

"Umm Im closing so about 10:00ish."281

"Okay I'll come over at about 11:00 then bye."282

I hung up the phone, put on another plastic smile and got back to work. Time 283

slowed down, every second I was there seemed like an hour and about two 284

years later I found myself locking up. The drive back home was much faster 285

and I was in my apartment by 10:20. I took another shower and slipped an old 286

shirt and PJ bottoms. Tom came at 10:54. I was watching South Park, when he 287

barged in through the door and collapsed on my couch288

"What's wrong with you??" I asked looking over at him. He looked angry.289

"I got stood up." I rolled my eyes he's still talking about this? Cartman 290

just fed a kid his own parents in chilli. I laughed even though I've seen 291

this episode a thousand times it never stops being funny. Tom shot me a look 292

that said If I wouldn’t get arrested I would punch you in the face.293

"Don't do that." I said and picked up the remote.294

"What?"295

"The domestic abuse look.." He rolled his big brown eyes and looked at the 296

clock. "Tom if we're just gunna sit here and argue all night then go home. I 297

know your checking the time every five seconds. If you don't want to be here 298

leave."299

"Okay" He got up and left once again slamming the door behind him. Why do I 300

put up with this? I slept on the couch that night and woke up with my back 301

killing me. It was 9:00. I got ready for work then got in the car and drove 302

there. I was two minutes late. I ran in threw on my hat and apron.303

"Sophie you're late." Said a familiar voice. I turned around, My boss was 304

behind me.305

"Yeah I know Im sorry.." she cut me off.306

"That's the second time this month. You know how many people want this job?" 307

Both of her chins juggled as she spoke. Her name was Melanie. She faintly 308

resembled Jabba the Hut and always had a huge camel toe. She was still 309

talking, she talks a lot but I don't really pay attention I just stare at 310

those chins. They jiggled with a mind of their own it was like a dance a 311

hawiian dance probably, like a hula.312

"Sophie, SOPHIE! Pay attention when Im talking to you." She yelled. Her chin 313

went wild, it swung in every direction. "That's it your fired!" I stopped 314

staring at her chin and looked into her cold dark heartless eyes. "What?"315

"You heard me your fired your done. Hand over the apron and the hat and have 316

a nice day." I tore off the apron and hat and gave it too her while trying 317

to keep my cool. I left the Creamery as fast as I could and drove home at 318

the speed of light as soon as I got there I picked up the phone and called 319

Tom. He picked it up on the first ring as usual.320

"Hello?"321

"Hey Tom. I just went to work and.." he cut me off.322

"Sophie I told you not to call me at work."323

"No but I just wanted to quic-"324

"Sophie Im too busy to listen to your crap. I'll talk to you tonight Im in 325

the middle of something."326

"Tom please I don't know what to do Ive been" he hung up. I put down the 327

phone and dialed Elises number. Someone picked up on the third ring. 328

"Hello?" it was a guys voice.329

"Sorry I think I have the wrong number" I said then hung up the phone. I 330

went into the fridge and poured a glass of orange juice then got out the 331

newspaper and flipped to the part where they list the jobs. Maybe if I find 332

one today I'll get my first advance in time to pay the rent.333

Elises POV335

When i got to Sophies she seemed kind of distraught about something it was 336

like as soon as she saw me she broke down, she was just crying at first 337

until she calmed down enough to talk threw her sobs."I- me- and Tom are 338

having trouble, and I- I- i got fired today." she forced out bravely. "Oh my 339

god Soph, what happened?" i said as i sat next to her and rubbed her back. 340

"i was two minutes late! Two fucking minutes!! And that Jabba the hut 341

looking whore fired me, god i hate her and her nasty camel toes!" she yelled 342

and i couldnt help but laugh and be confused. "Oh come on you've met 343

her...you know, Melanie...fat, ugly, constant comel toe.." he said looking 344

at me then the image of her popped into my head. "Oh god ew no!" i said 345

wincing and tryng to force the image out. We both started to laugh, i have a 346

wat of making people laugh when they feel like shit. I cann it a gift, 347

others call it a miracle...im not going to be critical of it. "So whats 348

going on with Tom?" i asked casually as our laughter died down. "I dont know 349

me and him are jsut always fighting and hes always just leaving, i dont know 350

i'll figure something out with him" she said waving it off. "What about you 351

what have you been up to ?" She asked eyeing my curiously. "Well i picked up 352

my best friend from CT at the airport today, and she brought to hot guys 353

along with her...but one is her boyfriend so totally off limits, but this 354

other guy Matt...ohhh, mmmm, hes cute and awesome and hes staying in my 355

room!" i said excited.356

See the thing with me is when im actually around people im really shy but 357

when i'm with like my friends i can be completley crazy, thats why when 358

people get to know me they love me. Me and Sophie sat talking for a while 359

and it was getting darker and darker. My cell phone rang. "Hello?" i asked 360

"hey, um Elise?" the voice asked "Yep thats me, whos this?" I asked back 361

looking at Sophie and she mouthed 'who is it', i shrugged my shoulders in 362

response. "Oh hey its um Matt...i jsut thought that maybe like if you come 363

home soon you still want to liek go out or something" he said sounding kind 364

of nervous i could hear what i knew was Adam in the back round helping him 365

along. "Yah Matt sure, i'll be home soon probably, but what would you say to 366

all of us going out...including my friend sophie?" i said back to him. "Oh 367

yeah uh sure why not?" he said back and then we said our goodbyes and i 368

turned to Sophie. "Lets go out and forget about all this crap" i said with a 369

huge smile. "yeah alright i'll go, but let me jsut call Tom to see if he'll 370

want to come too" she said and walked over to her phone. I let out a huge 371

sigh, gos shes hopeless with Tom...i mean hes hot and all but- who am I to 372

talk i havent had a boyfriend in over a year. She came out smiling wildly. 373

"hes comming! and hes bringing Mark and Travis too! is that alright?" She 374

asked "Yeah but umm...you know what why dont we just all go back to my house 375

and have some drinks call them back and tell them to meet us there" I said 376

back getting excited. This will be my first party in my own place! I know 377

the people there wont mind because at the Sea House...thats what its called, 378

the guys there always have parties out by the pool. "Oh and tell Mark to 379

pick up all the alcohol and we'll pay him back later" i yelled to her while 380

she was talking on the phone. Mark was 22 and the only one old enough to buy 381

liquor, so he was our guy...and to be honest i've always had kind of alittle 382

crush on him.383

A few minutes later i was on my way back home, Sophie stayed behind..she 384

said that Tom would pick her up when he was on his way. When i got back to 385

my apartment Matt and Adam were sitting out on my porch/ blachony thing. I 386

waved to them as i headed to my room to take a quick shower. I heard 387

knocking on the bathroom door a few minutes later. "Yeah?" i yelled from the 388

shower sliding the see threw door open and poking out my head. "Oh uh its 389

Matt, and Sam is in the bathroom getting ready and i really gotta pee" he 390

said from outside the door probably hopping up and down. "Well the door to 391

the shower in like see threw so just wait two seconds" i said then quickly 392

rinsed out my hair and wrapped a towle around my body and got out, when i 393

opened the door Matt ran in and started to un.zip his pants quickly and 394

carefully. I walked out and shut the door and started to search for 395

something cute to wear since Mark was comming over. I pulled on my underware 396

under my towel then dropped itto the floor and slipped on a bra before Matt 397

walked out of the bathroom. "Oh hey we're gonna have a party here tonight so 398

be ready for fun" i said as i pulled on a white Famous Stars and Straps 399

shirt and some black jeans. "Oh uh ok" Matt said trying not to look at me. 400

"What a bra and underware is the same as a two piece bathing suit" i said 401

then walked past him into the bathroom to straighten my barley tame-able 402

hair.403

ADAMS P.O.V.404

We sat in silence for about a half hour before I broke it. “So Elise.” I said turning to Matt.405

“Yeah what about her.” He said back.406

“She seems pretty cool. Plus she’s single.”407

“Really?” he looked at me.408

“Yeah. Do you like her?”409

“Yeah she’s cute, and she seems nice I mean she did let me stay here. And at lunch she was really funny. But its hard to say, I barley know her, there has to be some reason why she’s not already taken.” Matt is always over cautious when it comes to approaching girls. He has to know them for a while before he can make a move, he’s never been the “you had me at hello.” Type.410

“Well if she’s like you then the reasons plain and simple.”411

“Oh really and what’s that?” He narrowed his eyes.412

“Well lets face it your totally shy around girls.” 413

“I am not shy.” 414

“Oh really. Then why don’t you call her and ask her out?” I asked hoping he’d fall into my trap.415

“What?” he asked curiously. I lit the cigarette and took a long drag.418

“You just proved my point your too shy to call her.” I blew out the smoke.419

“Okay fine I’ll call her.” Two points for Adam. Matt pulled his cell out of his pocket.420

“What’s the number.” He asked after he flipped open the phone.421

“I dunno know.” I took another drag.422

“Nuh uh. Fuck that I’m not waking up Sam.” 423

“Okay then dig through her shit and find her phone skim through all the numbers till you find Elise then enter the digits in your phone t turn off Sam’s phone AGAIN and put all her shit back in the same exact order without waking her up.” He thaught over this for a minute before he asked “So How should I wake her up? Just tap her or what?” I smiled. 424

“Yeah she’s not a heavy sleeper.” Matt opened the sliding glass window and walked into Me and Sam’s room. He came out about five minutes later rubbing his arm. 425

“She doesn’t like to be woken up.” Matt said back then looked down at the phone.427

“Call her.” I urged him. He closed the sliding glass window then sat down in the chair he was in before. 428

“I don’t know what if-“ I cut him off429

“No ‘what ifs’ Matt. Do it.” I said forcefully.430

“Okay okay.” He pressed a button on his phone. He glanced at me everyonce in a while during their conversation I added little thumbs up signs and once I muttered. “Go on ask her.” Halfway through he cracked a smile. When he hung up he looked at me. 431

“We’re all going out, and two of her friends.” He said in a monotone voice, I could tell he was concealing his excitement. I took one last drag of my cigarette then put it out in the ash tray.432

Elise came back about twenty minutes later. She got in the shower and me and Matt sat on the couch. “I need to go to the pillow store tomarrow.” Matt said to me.434

“Is there such a thing?” I asked.435

“Im sure there is or I could go somewhere else. I wonder if there’s a Wal-Mart nearby.” 436

“I saw an Albertsons on the way here.”437

“What’s an Albersons?” he asked. 438

“Umm uhh I dunno looked like a grocery place but they might have décor there…” I shrugged. “Im hungry.” 439

“I gotta pee.” Matt got up from his spot walked away. I laid down in his spot. He returned a few minutes later. “Get up thats my spot.” He said looking down on me.440

After i was woken up my Adam telling me that we were going out i tired going 449

back to sleep i tired so hard but i couldnt and i was pissed. I went into 450

Mine and Adam's bathroom to get ready. I was in there for a while 451

practically half asleep tryin to put on make-up and fix my hair. When i'm 452

half asleep i might as well be drunk because thats how i feel and act. 453

Someone started knocking on the door. "Sam i need to use the bathroom really 454

really bad." it was Matt. "Go use your own bathroom dammit its bad enough 455

you woke me up" i said and continued what i was doing. "But Elise is in the 456

shower" he said back pleadingly. "So fucking what!" i yelled back and he 457

gave up. Adam came walking in a few minutes later. "matt jsut told me that 458

Elise is having a party here insteaad of going out." he said as he walked up 459

behind me and ran his hand down my hair. "Oh thank god" i said and stopped 460

fixing up my hair. "Whos comming?" i aked him and he shrugged then gave me a 461

quick kiss on the cheek and walked back into our room. When Elise came out 462

of the bathroom she looked awesome. "Wow girl cali really got you good" i 463

said to her as i admired her new style. "Yeah well she said blushing, she 464

gets really shy around people alot. I walked into her room with her while 465

matt and Adam sat on the floor in front of the T.V waiting for people to 466

come. "So who are you all made up for, i know you...you dont waste time on 467

make-up unless its for a purpose" i accused her and she went red and 468

whispered "Mark" with her head down as she played with the hem of her shirt. 469

"Oh hes that guy you always talk about!" i said back excited for her. "I 470

cant beleive im going to finally get to meet all these people you always 471

SOPHIE’S P.O.V.474

After Elise left I took a shower and did my hair and make up then waited for Tom. In the meanwhile I looked in the paper for jobs. For a normal person this would be easy, but Im not exactly normal. Im only 17, I gave up on school at the end of junior year. There was no way I would be able to graduate my senior year. You had to have 220 credits and I had 57. Not a good lead. Even if I did take Math, English, Science, a foreign language and Aced all of them, I would still not have enough credits, Plus I only had 2 hours of community service done. So I dropped out at 16 and when I dropped out my parents kicked me out. Now I just got fired from my first job and I have a horrible reference. I heard a horn beeping outside. That’s Tom. I ran out of my apartment and hopped into his car. 475

“Okay lets make this whole thing nice and quick.” He said and sped off as soon as I closed the car door.476

“Why? What’s the rush It’s a party that’s what you do all the time. You wanna get this one done so you can go to another?” 477

“No I mean lets just do it how we always do it nice and quick. We both get drunk with in the first hour fuck then drink somemore until we pass out.” He said in a indifferent voice.478

“Is that what its come to?”479

“What?” he asked me like he didn’t know. 480

“Tom the only thing we actually do as a couple anymore is get drunk and screw.” 481

“That’s not exactly healthy. I mean we never go out on actual dates anymore. Cant we just try and be like a regular couple again?” He laughed.483

“If we were a regular couple you would have broken up with me a long time ago. But you haven’t and we’re not. Just face it, you cant break up with me and I cant leave you. We just are stuck with eachother.” 484

“Who says I cant break up with you.” I yelled.485

“Okay baby do it then. Tell me we’re over.” He said not looking at me. I didnt say anything. He was right, I couldn’t leave him. I mean he was there with me through all the bad times I went through. Him and Elise seem to be the only stable thing in my life right now, and it sounds like she’s going to be a little pre-occupied in the near future, so Tom’s all I have. “Yeah that’s what I thaught, I know you too well. So just suck it up and lets get wasted.” I nodded. I don’t know why but I started to cry at that point. I cried the whole way there. Big soggy wet tears. My makeup was ruined. When we stepped out of the car Tom stood in front of me. “Stop crying.” He said and did something that he hadn’t done in months. He gave me a hug. I stood there wrapped in his arms for a minute then he broke us apart. “Lets try and have a good time tonight.” He said and bent down and kissed my cheek. I nodded and we walked over to the sea house door. I punched in the code 1492, and we walked in. Tom started to walk towards the elevator. I grabbed his hand. “It breaks down all the time.” I said warningly. He smiled. “Maybe we can have some fun.” He pulled me towards the elevator and pushed the button. The doors slid open we walked in and he pushed the button that was labeled 3. the door slid closed and we started to head up. I let go of his hand. He glanced at me and I gave him a weak smile. He shot me a mischievous grin then he jumped. The whole elevator went down wards for a second then stopped all together then went upwards once more. We finally got to the third floor and walked straight down the isle and to the first door on the left. I rang the doorbell then looked at Tom, he was spacing out.487

MATTS P.O.V.488

Adam came back a few minutes later. He sat down next to me on the couch. Just as he sat down the doorbell rang. I hopped up to answer it. “No swipes.” I said as I walked to the door. “Too late!” He called back. I swung open the door. I girl around my height and a guy around Adams height stood there. The girl looked like she had been crying. “Oh hi you must be Matt.” She said and stuck out her hand. “My name is Sophie and this is my boyfriend Tom.” I shook her hand then Toms. He looked pre-occupied, but he wasn’t doing anything. “Come in.” I led them into the living room. Adam jumped up. “Hi I’m Adam.” He said. “Im Tom, this is Sophie.” Tom said nonchalantly. “Where’s Elise?” Sophie asked turning to me. 489

“Oh um she’s just in the other room I’ll go get her.” I said and turned to go into Elises room. Her and Sam were talking. I could barley hear through the door but I could make out enough words to get the whole picture, she was talking about a guy she liked named Mark. That’s why she wasn’t taken, because of a crush she has. I feel so stupid, I totally set myself up for this, I started to like her too soon. Why do I listen to Adam. I knew I should have waited to get to know her. I couldn’t stand hearing anymore about this guy so I poked my head in and quickly told them some people were here. Then I left for the living room. Adam was talking to Tom. Sophie was kind of off by herself. Normally I would have talked to her but I’m not in the mood so I went straight in on Adam and Tom’s conversation. “Its not that different here I mean it is awfully hot for winter and the scenery is prettier but the people we’ve met so far are generally the same..” Adam said to Tom who no longer seemed pre-occupied but interested. “Hey Adam can I talk to you alone for a sec?” I asked. 490

“Well Im in the middle of a conversation right now cant it wait?” He asked obviously annoyed.491

“Yeah okay.” I said and turned around. Sophie was sitting on the porch. I decided to join her. I sat to her left. We stared at the ocean for a while in silence. Maybe I should ask her about Elise. But I don’t want to seem to pushy. I mean I just met Elise its weird to ask about her behind her back. It wouldn’t seem right. For all I know Mark could be her boyfriend. But Adam did say she was single. Ugh I should just stop thinking about her. I spoke out. “Its beautiful isn’t it?” I asked Sophie.492

“Too be truthful no. I mean think about it, all the ocean really consists of is, Fish poo and pee, Spit, Salt, Seaweed and dead bodies.” She answered back. “But I suppose its okay to look at.” I smiled.493

“Your right the ocean is a disgusting place. But so is the human body and we have no problems with that.”494

“I like to think my body isn’t disgusting.” She said seriously. 495

“Well naturally. Don’t we all? But we’re really just lying to ourselves.” She laughed. I saw Elise and Sam finally enter the room. “It was nice chatting with you.” She said then we both got up and left the porch. At least I had Elise off my mind for a few minutes even if it was talking about random and awkward things. She looked great, It was almost like she glowed and lit up the room. You could tell she was much more comfortable with me and Adam while her friends were in the room. She was smiling and talking with Sam Adam and Tom. She turned to us as we walked in. Elise looked great, she had her long brown hair down in little ringlets it was all about natural look. She had just a little eye shadow on, mascara and some lip-gloss. She looked really beautiful. I couldn’t help but to put on a stupid smile. “Hey guys nice of you to join us.” She said to me and Sophie as we walked in. 496

I got up a walked into the living room, Sophie and Tom were already inside 498

and Sophie looked horrible. Tom just left her and started talking to Adam 499

while her and matt sat out on the porch. "Well nice of you two to join us" i 500

commented as they walked back in. "So...Tom, wheres Mark?" i asked eagerly. 501

"Hes um on his way?" Tom said then turned around and kept talking to Adam.502

Marks POV503

I stopped at the liquor store and stocked up on many various breeds of 504

alcohol. I hurried to Elises apartment after picking up Travis. "Hey 505

people!" I yelled as we entered. Travis strutted past me carrying two 506

30-packs. "I need some man power!" I said loudly as Tom walked up to me and 507

grabbed me and we hugged. "Oh so now I'm not man enough for you?!" Tom said 508

as he held me close to him. I played along, I reached back and placed my 509

hand on his butt and said "oh yeah you are!" Then Elise and Sophie walked 510

over and pulled us apart "Stop being gay in front of the new guys!" Sophie 511

said laughing as Tom drapped his arm around her "Oh, we really dont mind" 512

The guy with short hair said as the little guy rested his hand on teh other 513

guy's thigh. I started laughing I think I'm going to like these guys I 514

quickly looked over at Elise who was standing next to me with her arms 515

crossed and a pout on her face. "what?! I didnt forget my litle Elise!" i 516

said and grabbed her in a huge hug and swung her around. When we stopped she 517

planted a kiss right on my lips and i just looked at her and i was about to 518

kiss her again but I heard "Ok wheres the hard liqour!?" Someone was yelling 519

walking out from the kitchen area with Travis closer behind starring 520

straight at her ass. She walked up right next to Elise and linked arms with 521

her. She was beautiful, I couldnt keep my eyes off her. I tore myself away 522

remembering what she asked for and my pervious tasks at hand. "Ok um...You 523

two!" I said and pointed at the two guys sitting on the couch. "Come with me 524

and Tom, I need help" I said turning to walk out with them close behind me. 525

I turned back around and let them pass by me and said "This might take a 526

while" and winked at the girls and Travis who was sitting on the couch with 527

a beer in his hand, channel surfing..he just rolled his eyes at me. I walked 528

out and joined the other guys. The tall one with short hair was Adam, the 529

short guy was Matt, they both seemed pretty awesome.530

Elises POV531

Mark got to my apartment about 2 mintues after i asked about him. When he 532

walked in him and Tom acted gay like usual. Tom and Sophie looked like they 533

were fine, which is good. I stood in front of mark lookling dissapointed. He 534

looked at me. "What?!" he said in disbelief. "I didnt forget my little 535

Elise!" he said then hugeed me and swung me around. Every nerve in my body 536

was going crazy trying to savor the moment. When Mark put me down he had a 537

gigantic smile plastered across his face and his dark blue eyes stared 538

directly into mine. I planted a kiss right on his lips then just started at 539

him. i couldnt even believe i did it, usually im too nervous. He was leaning 540

in to kiss me again but was distracted when Sam started yelling about liqour 541

when she was walking out of the kitchen with travis. Mark was practically 542

gawking at her before he asked matt and Adam to help him and Tom with 543

something. "Oh My God! Who was that hottie!?" Sam asked after Mark walked 544

out. "oh, that was Mark" i said breathlessly, like something from a bad teen 545

movie. I had a stupid smirk on my face and everything as i stared at the 546

doort the he had just pulled closed.Sophie was gone when i finally regained 547

my composure and turned back around. She was out on the porch.balchony with 548

Travis, talking. "I need a cigarette" i said and truend to Sam, she nodded 549

in agreement and followed me out the front door onto the walkway. "hey whats 550

up?" I said to the girl maureen from the apartment next to mine, she lived 551

there with her family. "Sup?" she said back leaning over the railing and 552

looking down at the guys who were walking back with the alcohol. "Wanna come 553

to the party?" i asked her and she shrugged. "I dont know, maybe" she said 554

then put her cigarette out and walked back into the apartment. "Whoa, did 555

she have like a mohawk going on there?" Sam asked me kind of shocked but 556

amazed at the same time as she handed me the lighter. I lit up my cigarette 557

and nodded as i took a puff. "Yeah, shes super cool, you'll like her" I said 558

and turend toward the stairs to see the guys hauling the brown paper bags 559

and boxes up the stairs. "God damn stupid elevator broke down!" Tom graoned 560

as he passed us and continued into the apartment.561

TRAVIS’S P.O.V.562

After everyone left me and Sophie took a seat on the porch. We sat in silence for a while before she looked at me, “Travis Me and Tom, I’m so confused. I mean sometimes we’re so good together but the majority of the time all we do is fight. He hates me, I know he does..”563

“Tom doesn’t hate you..” I said reassuringly. I thaught of all the times Tom would come into the studio totally broken down because he had been an asshole to her. 564

“You haven’t seen him when we’re alone. He never wants to spend time with me, and when we do spend time together he sits and bitches the whole time..”565

“Look at this from Toms point of view. He’s making a new record. That’s a lot of stress.”566

“Doesn’t seem to get to you or Mark.” She looked away at me and ahead at the ocean. I lit a cigarette. And handed it to her, she took a drag and gave it back. 567

“It does get to us but we express it in different ways, I mean I have the drums and Mark he…” I trailed off. What does Mark do for stress?568

“So I am Toms drums. He takes out all his stress and anger out on me? It sounds SO much better when you put it like that.” She rolled her eyes.569

I walked back inside and dumped the bags on the table. Sophie and travis 574

came inside from the back porch over-look thing. "hey Trav, where you goin?" 575

I asked curiously as he walked straight threw the living room towards the 576

front door. "I'm going to bum some smokes and ask in anyone wants to smoke 577

with me...you in?" he asked eyeing me. "Nah in good with this" i said and 578

patted he bag that i had vigeriously lifted up 3 flights of montain stairs. 579

Sophie had aproached me and waited untill Matt, Adam and mark went back 580

outside to start talking. "Tom can we talk?" She asked and i nodded. She 581

grabbed my hand and lead me into Elises room.582

Elises POV583

After the guys came back everyone joined me and Sam outside to smoke, except 584

matt...he wouldnt smoke... And i dont think that Tom or sophie joined us. 585

Travis came out and asked me to smoke a blunt with him, I graciously 586

accepted his offer along with matt and Adam. Sam said no because she used to 587

be way into drugs...so she stopped...and Mark well i don't know he seemed, 588

pre-occupied. After me and Adam were finished with our cigarettes Me, him, 589

Matt and Travis headed to the back balchony and started smoking some real 590

stuff. After about 5 minutes and 3 hits i was compeltlye gone. "What IS 591

this?" I asked unknowingly and i dont think it came out as good as it 592

sounded to me. Adam started to laugh hysterically and matt started choking 593

as he took another hit. "Haze" Travis said cooly sitting leaned back in his 594

chair relaxing. Travis smokes quite often so one blunt doesnt really phase 595

him, and he jsut gets really laid back when he gets high. "I need som 596

alcohol!" i said and stood up from my seat and went inside...almost walking 597

into the glass door, but Adam saved me..thank god. I wandered over to the 598

fridge and grabbed a bottle of vodka from the freezer and a 12 pack of 599

smirnoffs from the fridge. I went back to the balchony, and just as i was 600

stepping out Travis hused Matt and Adam, and Adam pushed Matt down into my 601

seat. I noticed that Matt got a little nudge in the side from Adam as i 602

placed the alcohol down on my shanty of a table that i ahve rigged up 603

outside. I grabbed a smirnoff then looked around. Three seats....all taken. 604

"You didnt call swipes" matt said then looked up at me and smiled sweetly. I 605

hate to admit it but matt is a hot dish, and exactly my type. It might have 606

just been the weed relaxing me out, but i said " fine them we'll share!" and 607

plopped myself onto Matts lap, with my smirnoff in hand. I took a swig then 608

grabbed Matts arm and drapped it across my legs. "So i dont fall" I said 609

seriously nodding my hand at Matt. He smiled at me then put his other arm 610

around my waist. "Hey Adam light me one" i said as i noticed him start 611

lighitng himself a cigarette. he nodded the lit one and placed it into my 612

mouth. After a while mark wakled out with Maureen and Sam behind him. I 613

quickly hopped off matt. "Hey Mark" i said and walked up to him.614

MATT’S P.O.V615

As soon as Alicia left the porch Adam turned to me. “When are you gunna make a move? Your sitting around here like a panzee just staring at her COME ON!” he said.616

“He’s right.” Travis added.617

“I am no panzee.” I yelled. Adam laughed. “You’re a panzee man Admit it!”618

“Im no panzee man I am a manly man.” I said confidently.619

“Okay then sit in her seat.” Travis suggested.620

“Well then she wont be able to sit anywhere and so she’ll have no choice but to take a seat on your very lap.” Adam said and pushed me into the seat. 622

“She could stand.” I said and got up from the seat, but was soon pushed back down. Travis hushed us as Elise stepped through the sliding glass door. Adam elbowed me in the ribs. I smiled “You didn’t call no swipes.” Alicia came over and sat on my lap. She said something but I couldn’t tell I was too pre-occupied with her. She was sitting on my lap. Oh my god. Mark entered the room and she quckly got off of me and said something to him.623

SOPHIES P.O.V.624

I walked over to Tom. “Hey can we talk?” I asked. “yeah sure.” He said and I led him to a room in the back. I motioned for him to sit on the bed and I sat next to him. “Tom I think maybe we should take a break.” I said truthfully. 625

“You know this thing we have, I mean I don’t even know what to call it. I mean I can barely call you a boyfriend, I cant even really call you a friend Tom. We’re growing farther and Farther a part. That’s why we should maybe put this on hiatus for a while, wait until your record is done and I get a job and stuff. Then maybe we can…reconsider this.” He stared at me. 627

Hell it has been over, you said it yourself in the car a few hours ago.” I wasn’t ready to break up with Tom but I think it’s the best thing to do. I mean for him. He doesn’t need me, he’ll do better when Im not around. 631

“No Sophie I didn’t mean it. I’ve had a lot on my chest lately, and I know its not right to take it out on you but I can stop I swear just…don’t leave me please.” He looked truly sad. Tom looked down at his hands then up at me. I put my hand on his shoulder.632

“Im sorry Tom. But I feel like Im dragging you down. I’m a ball and chain. I…” Tears started to roll down my cheeks. “I think you’ll do better without me around. You could make the album in peace and You wouldn’t get any calls from me anymore and you wouldnt have to go out to dinner or even worry about picking me up anymore.” He stood up and walked over to me. 633

“Don’t talk like that you know damn well that your not a ball and chain. Do you honestly think Im too stupid to tell when someone’s dragging me down? Me Travis Adam and Alicia left the porch and walked inside the apartment. Sam walked over to Adam and grabbed his hand. She kissed him and he kissed back, they walked over to the couch. Mark was talking to some girl in the kitchen he had a drink next to him but she didn’t. Elise spotted them and walked over. She talked to the girl for a second then started to talk to Mark but he brushed her off. I turned to Travis. “Just you and me then huh?” I said.636

“You have a lot of tattoos.” I said. Travis has a long body, that looks as if every inch of it was tatted up. He had his nose and lip pierced. Tonight he was sporting a long shirt with no sleeves a pair of cargo shorts and a Mohawk 638

“Yeah.” I looked over at Elise. She was walking towards us, obviously getting tierd of Mark not paying attention to her. “hey” she said as she came over to us. 639

“Hello.” I said and smiled. Travis walked over to were Mark and the girl were sitting. 640

“The ceiling.” I said. We both laughed. I must admit we were pretty high, and drunk..642

“Can I pick pelted by hot forks and knives while alternately being dipped in rubbing alcohol and tabasco sauce instead? I think that would be more sanitary.” I said after taking a minute to think about it. 657

Marks POV
When i was outside with Sam me and her talked about some random
things...shes was pretty cool and seemed interested in me, but she completly
made it clear that she was taken. When ever it seemed like she was about to
veare off course into infidelity she would start talking about Adam. After a
little while the girl from next door came out. "Hey, whats going on?" she
asked casually while she walked over and stood next to me. "Oh uh nothing we
were just going inside." i said and lead her and Sam back in and out to the
back porch. Elise was sitting an Matt's lap and as soon as she saw me she
hopped off and walked up to me. "hey mark" she said and practically draped
herself onto me. "Uh hi" i said and polietly lifted her off as the new girl
chuckled alittle and muttered. "Wow, now i know why i dont drink" Adam and
Sam left so i decided to go back in and start drinking. I went back in and
the girl followed me to the kitchen where i got myself a drink. "Hey whats
your name anyway?" i asked as i took a sip of my drink. "Maureen, you can
call me Mo...and you are?" she said looking over at me. "Oh im Mark" i said
and we started apretty interesting conversation until Elise came up to us
and started talking. Mo talked to her for a little then she turned to me i
just kind of ignored her. I like her better when shes sober...shes much more
tolerable. She obviously got the hint and walked back over to Matt and
Travis. As soon as she got there Travis got up and walked over to me and Mo.
"Dude, Mark this guy like totally likes Elise, but hes too chicken shit to
do anything about it." Travis said trying to act inconspicous. A shot og
jealously ran through me, wait what? No i jsut told myself i didnt like her,
i practically waved her off. Whatever her and the short guy would look
awesome together, and plus he looks more her age.
Elises POV
Me and Matt were chatting away. I lvoe this guy, hes hilarious me and him
are practically the same person which is kind of creepy but cool at the same
time. Hes just like me, like i'll say things that people think but never
really want to say outloud, and he ttoally does he said this stuff about
spring break that just made me laugh cuz it was so true. True, hence funny.
Me and him talked the whole night, and i got pretty shitfaced. I went into
my room and Sophie and Tom were passed out on the fouton which they had laid
out for some reason...seeing Toms naked ass told me what the reason was.
"Well they made up" i said as i stumbled over to my bed with matts hand
clutched in mine. I sat down and clicked on the T.V. Sophie and TOm were out
cold so they didnt wake up. I bet you will was on. "Ok i totally jsut run
around in a man thong smearing honey on myslef jsut for fun..and now they
want to pay for it...i love this show" Matt said joking around which made me
laugh. I sat leaned up agaisnt the head board and matt sat close next to me
because i was still holding his hand and lets face it, our arms are rather
short. I let out a loud drunked laugh and leaned my head onto Matts shoulder
and gently slapped his chest but me being drunk and hihg and all my hand hit
his chest then slid down and rested on his thigh. I was still alughing when
he turned his head and looked at me. He leand in and kissed me, of course i
kissed right back. We made out for a few minutes then i pulled away when an
idea popped into my head. At the time i thought it was genious. "Matt lets
go for a ride and get some taco bell or something." i said and he nodded and
we headed out to the living room hand in hand. On our way there we could see
that Adam and Sam had passed out on the air matress in their room. When we
got out to the living room there was no one there accept for Travis and he
was passed out on the couch with a few empty cans around him. "Oh my god i
ahve to wake up Adam" Matt said then unlatched hands with me and ran back to
the other room. I figured that Adam would be pissed but he came out of the
room with a sharpie in his hand bearing that irresistable smile. Him and
Matt walked up to Travis and doodled obsenities all over his face. "What are
you doing?!" i kept saying between laughs. Once they were done Matt walked
up to me and grabbed me hand again then said "Alright now we can leave" and
kissed me on the cheek. Adam looked at us and rasied his eyebrows
suggestivly then walked back into his room. As me and Matt were walking out
to the car he explained to me what him and Adam had just done. "Rule number
26, if you pass out with your shoes on...we draw on your face" he said
seriously as he got into the drivers seat of my car.
We were about half way there and i just now noticed that Matt was swerving
around slightly. "Are you ok to drive?"I asked and turned my head quickly
then gave myself a few seconds to focus on Matt. "Nope not at all" he
alughing and said looking straight ahead. "Oh then i'll drive" i said
seriously. "No i dont like letting other people drive when im drunk" Matt
said and i reached for the wheel. "Come one Matt jsut let me drive, pull
over and we'll switch" "No here jsut switch with me" he said and i leaned
over and tried sliding into the drivers seat. "haha...ow you're on my dick"
Matt said and started laughing "Lift up so i can slide out" he said and
tried moving. "i cant im crammed between the dachboard and your dick" i said
back with my hands on the steering wheel. "Ok ok pull over" Matt said from
behind me. "Alright hold on" i said and started to steer to the side. Once
we were pulled over Matt reached down and pulled the seat back and was able
to slip out from under me. "Lets keep this on the Down low" i said to matt
once we were situated and continued on our journey to Taco Bell. I drove all
the way there practically flawlessly, lets just say i've gotten used to
driving under the influence. But when he got up to the drive through i kind
of might have drove on the curb alittle. "What do u want?" i said to Matt
and turned to him while we sat next to the talking box thing. "The good to
go thing" he said and i smiled "i think we are ment to be together! thats my
favorite!" i said then turned back to the box. "Hello?" i asked loudly. "Hi
welcome to taco bell how may i help you?" the voice answered back. "I'll
have two good to go things" i said and then drive up. "You didnt even wait
for them to tell you how much" Matt said looking at me. "Oh i know how much,
I'm a taco bell junkie" when he got to the window i pulled out my money and
got the exact change for the order and handed it to the mexican dude.
"Thanks alot" i said then grabbed the bags and threw them onto Matts lap and
sped off. We were home about 5 minutes later. I drove as fast as possible so
i could eat.
We walked back in and everyone was still asleep. We went back to my room and
Madison and Tom were still laying on the fouton barley covered and Tom was
now on his back. "oh ew no!" i said and grabbed a blanket and drapped it
over Tom. "Haha wow, this has to be one of the most interesting nights of my
life" Matt said then joined me on my bed with his meal. I practically
swallowed mine whole then stripped down to my underware and bra and got
under the covers to go to sleep. "I'll just go into the living room" Matt
said seeming nervous. "Noooo...stay with me!" i whined and he shrugged then
got up and took of his shirt and pants and climbed in the bed in his boxers.
I snuggled up to him and rested my head on his chest. I hate falling asleep
first so i jsut laid there untill i felt his breathing even out and i knew
he was sleeping, then i fell asleep.
Sams POV
"Wha- What the fuck!?" i screamed as i got up and slamed the windows in mine
and Adams room and looked outside. There was like 5 gigantic garbage trucks
driving around pciking up garbage and even with the windows closed it was so
loud, but Adam stayed asleep. I was so fucking pissed off because once i
wake up i cannot go back to sleep. I looked at the clock. 9:30am! god
dammit! I stormed out and into Elises room, if im awake shes going to be up
to! I walked in and the first thing i saw was two naked people on a futon
and i cringed at the sight then started smirking when i peeked around them
and saw Elise and Matt in the bed together, and from what i could see she
was only in her bra. "Whoa was there an orgy in here last night?!" i yelled
out loudly. The naked guy on the futon, Tom i think he was...popped up
quickly and looked around nervously and when he saw me he fevershly grabbed
the blankets and attemped to cover himself and the girl who was next to him.
i started laughing. Elises head lifted from its spot on Matts chest and she
looekd up sleepily at me. I smiled wildlt at her and gave her a wink. She
looekd down at Matt then jumped up and shuffled back into the wall that her
bed was against. "Oh shit!" she said as he put her head inher hands. Sophie
woke up next to Tom and popped up and held the covers over he chest. She
looked at me obviously confused then she turned her head and saw Elise.
"Whooo go Elise!" she said and made me and Tom laugh. Matt started to stir.
Then he woke up and turned towards where Elise was perviously. He streached
his arm out feeling for her and when he didnt feel her there he opened his
eyes and sat up and looked at Elise. "Good morning" he said sweetly and
leaned over to kiss her obviously not knowing that he had an audience. Elise
moved away from him and he gave her a questioning look. "Whats the matter?"
he asked. Elise sat with one hand covering her mouth and pointing towards
the end of the bed and behins Matt. He looekd around and finally noticed
everyone. "Oh god...you guys dont think we- well cuz we didnt" he said and
scooted towards Elise. She shifted away then just stood up all together and
hopped off the bed and ran towards the bathroom. Matt stood up and went
after her. I jsut stood there in awe "Woops" i said then looked over at Tom
and Sophie. Sophie had an unreadable look on her face but Tom just still
looked confused. I walked out and into the bathroom to take a shower. While
i was in the shower i thought about that guy from last night... Mark. I dont
know what it was about him. He was hot, he had spikey black hair and blue
eyes...god i love that. And he was go interesting and different. I
deffinetly have a thing for him. But i love Adam...and i jsut met this guy
so...i dont think i'll act on any impulses i have jsut yet.Then i started to
think alittle more and i noticed when i went into Elises room and her and
Matt were staring at eachother awkwardly and i looked at the ground there
was taco bell wrappers on the floor, im totally gonna have to bitch about
that later because there are only two things in the world i will wake up for
without being angry. Taco Bell and Sex.
Elises POV
I woke up to find out that i screwed Matt last night. i guy i've only known
for one day! I've never even had sex before and now...i jsut go and loose it
while im drunk and high. i mean i've done some stupid shit...but fuck! After
the realization of everything finally hit me i looekd around my room at Sam,
Sophie, Tom and Matt then got up and ranto the bathroom. Matt came after me
and pushed his way into the bathroom. "Get away from me i dont even know
you!" i said picking up the clothes from last night and pulling them on
quickly. "Elise, listen...we didnt have sex. i promise" he said sencerly
then walked up to me and hugged me. I stayed perfectly stiff. "Are you
positive?" i asked back pulling away and looking at him. "Yeah, and plus you
would kind of know if we did...you know" he said making me feel pretty
stupid. "Yeah i guess you're right, im sorry...i jsut got kind of
scared...cuz im still a virgin and all and yah" i said looking down
embarassed. "Thats ok...I would never take dvantage of you, drunked sex is
the most regrateable sex...thats why i try to keep it to a minimum" He said
attempting me make me laugh. I guess it worked. "Well, why were we laying
next to eachother in jsut our underware...did we do anything else?" i asked
kind of scared for the answer. "Um we made out alittle, and held
hands...buts thats all pretty inncocent dont you think?" he said smiling and
comming closer to me. I like Matt and all but i was jsut uncomfortable as
hell i stepped back away from him and knocked into the shower. "Ow" i
yellped as my back collided with the sliding door. "Are you alright?" Matt
said comming even closer to me and reached out for me. I quickly slipped
past him. "Um yeah im fine im gonna go now i have stuff to do" i said and
left not even bothering to take a shower or anything and drove to my school.
I had to get a book for a paper i've been working on. its Saturday morning,
i its due on monday and a huge paper due, last night could have gone better
and now im gonna be all weird around matt and we have to sleep in the same
room. I went to the library and found the book and headed home as slow as
possible so i could just think. OK so me and Matt were holding hands and
making out. As i drove around the night started to slowly come back to me. I
remember liking holding hands with Matt, and laughing with him. He seems
like a really great guy but now im going to be all nervous around him
because now i know i like him. Whenever i like someone i get all nervous and
stutter around them and stuff. When i got back everyone was awake except for
Travis. He was still passed out cold on the couch. Adam, Matt and Tom were
all sitting at the dinner table eating frosted flakes in their boxers.
Sophie was in the shower and Sam was in the bathroom doing her hair or
something. "Hey" Adam said when he was me because he was the only one facing
me. Both Matt and Tom had theri backs toward where i was standing. "Hi" i
said quietly and started walking towards them with my book in hand. "Where
did you go?" Matt asked once i rached the table. "I had to get a a book for
a reasearch paper that i have due on monday" i said back and hurried into my
room and immediatley sat at the computer.I sat down and opened my half
finished paper in word and started skiming through the book for witty quoets
that i could plug in to the paper. "I didnt know you were in school" i heard
someone say then felt two hands on my shoulders. I tuend my head around to
see matt standing there with a smile on his face he bent down and kissed me
on the lips then pulled back and looked at the screen. "I uh...yeah..i go to
um Long Beach State...and um I'm a pshychology and art major" i said back
shakily as he left his hands rested on my shoulders. "Oh so then you'll be
busy alot?" he asked soundind alittle sad. "No i only take classes on
Tuesday, wednesyday and thrusday. And i only have 2 classes each day because
i got alot of college credits in high school, so i get to take it easy for
my first year." i said back relaxing slightly. "But you said you have a
paper due monday..." he said obviosuly questioning my schedule. "Well i may
not go to class as much as the other kids but i have the same work and its
due on the same days" i said back smartly now feeling more comfortable as we
continued talking. "Oh so you're smart then?" Matt said sarcastically. "I'm
ok" i said back and turned around quickly in my chair causing Matts hands to
slip off my shoulders and land on my brests. "Oh haha oops" he said quickly
removing his hands. "Its ok, it was my fault" i said back starting to flirt
alittle. "So what are you gonna do today?" Matt ask curiously putting his
hands behind his back like a little boy who got caught stealing from the
cookie jar. "Well i wanted to finish my paper so i would be free tomorrow" i
said back then stood up. "But if you want to go do something, i guess i
could wait" i said standing dangerously close to Matt who hadnt buged from
the spot he was standing. "What do you want to do?" Matt asked suggestively
in a low voice. I was falling for him, hes so sweet and we are so much
alike...i can help it. I lifted my hand and rested it on his face then he
lowered alittle to my level and kissed me. We kissed for a few seconds
before i wrapped my arms around him and ran my hands up and down his back as
he held me and kissed me passiontly. "Matt, omg dude we have to go see this
movie!" Adam said as he walked in then stopepd when he saw us. "or not
whatever" he said smiling and walked out of the room backwards. Me and matt
started laughing. "i think im going to take a shower" he said then headed
toward the bathroom. i sat back at the computer with a big smile on my face
and started to type another part to my paper.664

I turned off the shower and slid open the glass door, just as I was picking up a towel Matt walked into the bathroom.
"Oh shit. Im so so sorry!" He said and quckly shut the door. I put the towel around me and walked out of the bathroom.
Elise was by the computer laughing and Matt was sitting in the edge of the bed. "Im Sorry." he said as I walked in.
"Its okay, I just hope your not scared too badly.." I said and laughed. He smiled a little then got up. "Are you done in there? I was going to take a shower." He said and pointed to the bathroom.
"Yeah go on ahead." i said and nodded. As soon as he closed the bathroom door a sat down on the bed and turned to Elise. "He's cute." I said and winked. Elise smiled.
"Isnt he?"
"Did you guys like...you know..make whoopy?" I asked.
"No we just made out. I really think Im falling for him." she said with a big smile on her face.
"Its about time you met someone! Im so happy for you guys. You know if I wasnt with Tom I would totally steal him from you."
"Yeah and I would murder you then suck his dick in front of your dead body." she said defensivly. I laughed. "Sorry I just had to get that out there.."
"Yeah I understand some things just have to be said.." I got up and walked over to wear my clothes from last night were and put them on then turned to Elise. "Im gunna let you do that paper I wouldnt want to disturb your studies." I said then walked out of her room. Adam and Tom were sitting eating cereal and Travis looked passed out on the couch. "Hey." Tom said as I entered the room. He was only in his boxers. "Dont you think you should maybe put some clothes on?" He looked at me for a second then replied with a simple "no." I shrugged and sat down with them. I reached over and took a bite of Tom's cereal.
"What the hell?" He asked quickly and took the spoon out of my hand.
"I just wanted a bite..."
"God damn it now its contaminated!" Tom said loudly and threw the spoon into the bowl then shoved it towards me. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh becuase I have cooties right?" i asked sarcasticly.
"Yes." He said and looked away from me. I pushed the bowl back towards him. He just looked at it with wide eyes. He started to reach for it but Adam shot him a look. "I wouldnt do that man now she touched that bowl." Tom thrust his hand back.
"Ew." he said in a little boy voice.
"Okay if you cant even touch my bowls you certainly cant touch me Im swarming with cooties." i said slowly.
"Ugh Im never going to touch you again."
"Alright I'll hold to that." I said and gave him a quick smile then got up from the table. Adam laughed but it took Tom a minute to get it then his eyes got huge. "No I was just kidding." he said quickly.
I was about to talk but was inturrupted by Travis who walked right past me and into adam and Sams bathroom. Then came back out quickly. "What the fuck?" he said, pointing to his face and looking at me then tom and adam then back at me. Adam smiled revealing a beautiful set of teeth. "Rule 26." he said.
"What the fuck is rule 26?" Travis yelled in a frustrated voice. Matt emerged from Elises room as soon as he heard the yelling and stood next to Tom with a smile to match Adams. "If you pass out with your shoes on.." he started "Then we write on your face." adam finished. Travis just stared at them in shock.
"You guys are fuckin assholes.Im going to fucking kill you as soon as I wash this shit off" he said. I burst out laughing everyone stared at me. "Im sorry its just hard to take you seriously with Im a Pussy written across your forehead." I blurted out. Everyone laughed, including Travis. When we stopped he looked at Adam and Matt. "I'm not going to kick your ass. Im gunna get you back. Just wait." he said then slowly looked around, "where the hell is Mark?" he said slowly. Tom shrugged "Must have gone home last night." he said then turned to me, "Lets go I wanna take a shower and get into some clean clothes." i nodded. Travis looked at us "You guys wanna give me a lift home?" Tom nodded and walked into Elises room, then came out a few minutes later with his clothes on. "Bye Elise!" he yelled as he walked out. "Oh your leaving? Hold on." She ran up behind him and walked to ware we were all standing. Tom gave her a hug and I saw Matt look away for a second. He noticed I was looking at him and I looked away. Elise gave me and travis a hug and we all said bye. "okay I'll like call you tonight or tomarow or sometime within the next 24 hours." i said as I left. "okay bye." she called back and me Tom and travis left the apartment.666

After Tom, Sophie and Travis left Elise went back to her room and i walked into mine. Sam was in the bathroom taking a shower. I walked in "Adam get out! Im taking a shower." she yelled when I walked into something. "Okay Okay." i said slowly and grabbed my razor and shaving cream then backed up out of the bathroom closing the door behind me. I decided to use Matt and Elises bathroom unstead. I walked in and looked in the mirror, god am I sexy. But havent shaven in like 3 days, and had a gnarly mustache starting to grow in. I started rub it and heard the bathroom door open behind me. "Hey what you doin?" matt said slowly and stood next to me. "Nothing just checkin out my sweet stash." I said, continuing to rub my mustache. "You know your in MY bathroom right?" he asked. I stopped rubbing my upper lip and looked at him. "You dont want me to use your bathroom?" I asked slowly. "Well if you look in my mirror and then I look in my mirror its like I dont look as good.." I stood there and stared at him for a minute then turned around, licked the mirror and stormed out of the bathroom. Who does he think he is bossing me around like that? I walked over to the sink and rubbed shaving cream in my face and started to shave.668

As soon as Adam left I grabbed a nearby hand towel and started to slowly and carefully wipe the spit off my mirror. "What are you doing?" i heard Elise ask behind me.
"Oh wiping the spit off our mirror." i said in a monotone voice.
"Oh." she said. "Why are you spitting on mirrors?" she asked slowly.
"No not my spit Adams spit he licked it after I told him he was making me look bad."
"How was he making you look bad?" Jesus she's just full of questions isnt she?
"He looked in my mirror."
"Oh so becuase he looked in our mirror that made you look bad and so you told him and he licked the mirror." I thaught for a second.
"Uh yeah that sounds about right." I said and she shook her head then turned and left. I finished wiping off the spit and turned around to find Elise behind me. "Does Adam always shave in the kitchen sink becuase thats wear I keep the dishes and I dont want to have to eat of hairy plates.." she said looking up at me. I smiled. "Yes yes he does. Your going to have to get used to that. He also doesnt use a toothbrush, just a fork with toothpaste on it." I bent down and whispered in her ear. "You see he's a little slow." She blinked then nodded. We walked out into the kitchen and I said in a loud slow voice "HELLO ADAM. Be careful razors are sharp." He stopped shaving and looked back at us. "Okay Matt I'll take that into consideration." he said back immitating my loud slow voice. Elise laughed.670
