Rising above the mountains, the sun peaks over head, greeted by a symphony of wildlife. Asleep in the mossy grass , a woman lays, golden tresses strewn around her, like an angels halo. Safe in a dreamless sleep she rests her weary soul. Many nights she has run with the wolves in the light of the moon. Running from her past, she finally laid down her prophetic soul in this shaded thicket.1
A breeze gently floats by, caressing her bronzed face. Long lashes flutter and then open to reveal almond shaped eyes the colors of the forest, greens and browns. Memories of her past fill her eyes, and spill over as tears. As the pain grows her sobbing echoes throughout the now quiet woodland. 2
Her pain had blinded her to the surrounding area and the sharp crack of a branch braking under a misplaced foot brings her back from the past. Looking up she watches him with fear. His eyes, gilded brown, capture her like a beautiful bird. Before she can run away he is there, muscular arms around her, gently wiping the tears away. Her eyes fall onto the wolf pendant around his neck, and he eyes light up. Another wolf! As her eyes travel back up to the eyes, his hand slips around her neck, gently pulling her closer. 3
A shiver harrows up her spine as his fingers caress her sensitive flesh. The mischievous glint in his eyes matches the grin playing across his face. His tongue flicking into and around her ear, her breathing quickening by the second. Slowly she turns to face him, their eyes lock and both lean in for what they both know is coming. A shock goes through her when their lips touch, this is the kiss she had been waiting for. 4
