Her legs ached, but fear and anger kept Faith running.1
The tears on her face were drowned into natures own acid-liquid, streaming her face mercilessly.2
The rain was harsh and stung her eyes, and the continous flashes of lightning in the cruel black sky made it hard to see the rocky path leading up to the cliffside.3
But she couldn't stop, she couldn't, not now.4
A sudden flash of lightning highlighted the cliff's edge and out of sudden panic, Faith brought herself to an abrupt stop and caught her balance as her gaze fell to the tip of her sneaker just over the edge of the step drop.5
The waves crashed snd hit the cliff furiously and Faith fell back at the sight of the abyss.6
She jumped to her feet, and tried to sight the once-glorious mountains across the water, the ones she saw in her memories, her dreams.7
But they were no more.8
Faith's heart fell to her stomach as as her gaze held that of the misty, grey shadow, the once-rich mountains that were now barely visible.9
Memories shot through her, the childhood that she almost never had.10
The lightning flashed violently, barely giving sight a chance to focus. The rain lashed pain at her eyes, and Faith slowly let them close.11
Images immediately began to flash through her mind.12
~.:.:.Her mother.:.:.~13
Faith took a step closer to the edge.14
~.:.:.Her fist love.:.:.~15
Faith slowly spread her arms. A smile.16
The wind whirled angrily, trying to throw her off balance, yet, she felt at one with it.17
~.:.:.A thousand images flickered at once inside herself.:.:.~18
And her smile widened.19
She was still smiling as she let herself fall.20
Into nature's abyss below.21
