UNINVITED

UNINVITED

You came into my life, unwanted and unasked! Never the less you were there in my door.
How you did it, I do not know, but you squirmed your heart into mine. Although, I resisted, fought you tooth and nail, you never gave up on me. The ice wall I had so strategically placed with care. Every block I built my self, you melted them away.
With one look, that first acknowledged look from you to me; I knew you had me wrapped around your finger. I was at your beck and call. So few people have ever had that ability that fortitude to keep trying, but you did. You were always glad to see me, never mocking me and always consoling. You were a friend to me, when I felt I had none, you were my best friend.
However, the fear that kept my love at bay has now fallen at my feet. You have left me alone, sad, and again cold; but my heart says different, I cry for you, I cry for myself, and I know now, I feel. I know I love; I will always love you, as I know you loved me, without judgment.
So go, I let you go, but you will always be here with me, “Wanted and asked for.”
I love you Snoopy,
