faith

this is not what God intended life to be like.  All the hate, the anger, the violence, the murder, the ignorance, carried out in His name.  The message has gotten lost.  all over the world, its become so much more important to be right than to actually have faith.  Faith is at the root of all His teachings.  Its not important what you have faith in, just as long as you have faith in the first place.  Its believing in God, or Allah, or Krishna, or any other number of diety's.  God's plan was not to make all his believers who happened to pick the "right" religion go to Heaven and have eternal life.  Nor was his plan to send all of those who supposedly chose the "wrong" religion to go to Hell for eternal damnation.  There is yet to be a religion that centers its teachings on faith, rather than treat it like a burden.  In most religions, there are rituals, or works, or rules about the way you should live your life in order for God to love you.  But they miss the point.  He loves you no matter what you do.  Not to say you shouldnt try and live a virtuous life and be a decent human being, but its not your behavior he's concerned about.  its your heart, your soul.  He wants you to believe in him, have faith that he will take care of you.  He's not some diety who's on a power trip and wants us to spend our entire lives paying homage to him. He's not an angry vengeful God who will strike you down at any moment.  He wants us to live our own life, be happy, have fun, be human.  having faith, though it may be small as a mustard seed, is enough to get you through the gates of Heaven.  if you have true faith, and honestly believe in Him, and show it by living a humble and virtuous life, where its ok to make mistakes, ask for forgiveness, and be forgiven, then you too, will enter the gates of Heaven.1
