Dear Diary 2

It was a sweet unexpected gift that I will always treasure...always. I had just woken up with my hair mushed up, morning breath, and a sour look on my face. It was just after leaving college so I slept all day everyday. It was good to be back and to enjoy time with my family. He was always home or so I thought. The thing is, he told me he was going to visit me and I kept asking him when but he told ne he didnt know. That morning as I strolled in my kitchen with a big t-shirt on with boyshorts, I stiffed in my refridgerator trying to find soemthing to eat. It was a hot day so I decided ice-cream will have to do. I walked in my living room and sat with my legs folded under me while I flipped the channel trying to find something sappy to watch. As I was searching my door bell rung. I thought it was probably Dee, my bestfriend, coming to see me. I opened the door and my breath was caught in my throat. Brandon stood in front of me with a wide grin on his face. I didnt know why he was there or when he decided to come. I was still looking like I had just woken up and he quickly kissed me on my lips. 1

"What are you doing here?" 2

"Aren't you gonna let me in" he asked. I stepped aside so that he could come in. I was still shocked. 3

"I didnt know you were coming." 4

"I know. I called your mom and told her and she welcomed me." I still couldnt believe it especially with my mom. What the hell did he do to coax her? He was still staring at me and I realized why. 5

"Sorry, I just woke up and I didnt know you were coming...all the way from Florida.Why didnt you tell me?" 6

"Sue, could you please give me a hug and tell me you're happy I'm here." I was happy he was in front of me after almost 2 months without seeing him or touching me. I leaped in his arms and a smile covered my face. "Besides" he said,"you look cute this way." I laughed at him and decided to call my mom. I told her had arrived and she was acting different..too different. I took a shower but not before telling Brandon to make himself at home. I got dressed at was ready to show him what New York looks like when he grabbed me then kissed me. 7

"I've missed you." he said. 8

"I know the feeling. I just cant believe you're here." 9

"Believe it," he said. He looked down at me and I could tell there was something bothering him. 10

"What I asked?" Suddenly crazy thoughts were going through my head: Is he going to break up with me? Why didnt he just do it over the phone? Is he seeing some one else? someone I know? As if he could read my thoughts he looked up and smiled. 11

"You worry to much you know that." 12

"Yea but you look hesitant so if it's over please tell me it is. But then that would be rude of you if you fly how many miles just to tell me that... and" Before I could finish he kissed me. 13

"Shut up Sue. Sit." Like a little doggy I did as I was told. He went down on his knees and hugged me around my waste. I was still a little slow but I knew there was something on his mind. 14

"Just say it." 15

"There's no easy way to say this." 16

"Brandon just say it and put me out of my misery...please." He looked at me with his sofy eyes then asked me the question I never thought I would ever hear. 17

"Sue, will you marry me?" I stared at him with the words stuck in my thraot. All that time I was thinking,"he loves me, he really loves me." Tears flowed down my cheeks and he took his thumb to wipe them away. I couldnt stand it any longer and the suddenly everything went black. I dont know how long I was unconscious for but when I opened my eyes Brandon had me lying on the couch on he had something over my head. I jumped up thinking I was still in a dream. He looked concern and asked if I was ok.I nodded. 18

"You still didnt answer me" he said. I didnt realize what he was talking about until he nodded towards my right hand with a diamond ring in it. It all came back and I searched his face. Never hd I seen him that serious. The word finally felt my mouth and I saw him smiling. He took the ring from my hand and placed it on my finger. Never had I felt all those feelings that were going through me. I was happy, scared, anxious, excited,overwhelmed. I dont know what wasnt there that I didnt feel. 19
