The Unlucky Me - Chapter 16

After I’m done playing with Fly my hand is bleeding from her sharp little teeth biting me. I walk into the downstairs bathroom and wash my hands. It stings like hell but I have a sudden urge to see more blood. 1

I walk upstairs and into the bathroom. I close the door and lock it. I open the closet door and grab my “special” box. I grab a razor out and sit on the edge of the tub. I roll up my jeans and find a empty spot. One with no scars. (You see I stopped cutting on my arm after a while. My mom knew I started cutting and got freaked out by seeing the cuts so I cut my legs, stomach, anything that she can’t see.) I take the razor and slice across my leg. I repeat this action but pushing harder each time. After 6 cuts my urge for blood is gone. I grab a tissue from the box on the floor and wipe the blood away. Wincing at the sudden pain. I get bandages from the box and tape them onto the cuts. 2

After I put the box back in its hiding place I walk downstairs and into the living room. Everyone is still outside so I turn on the radio. I put on my favorite station, the BUZZ and turn it up. I lay on the couch. 3

After about 15 minutes Mason and Jimmy come into the house and go upstairs to get dressed again. Then they come back down. They walk into the living room and Jimmy shuts off the radio. 4

“Hey” I say sitting up, giving him an evil look. 5

“Hey calm down. Me and Mason were just wondering if you’d like to go to the mall with us. We want to buy some shit for Zach and Kelly. And some other shit too” Jimmy says and signs. 6

“Sure. Is anyone else coming?” I ask and sign. 7

Jimmy looks at Mason and they both shrug. 8

I roll my eyes, sign and say “I’ll go see if anyone else wants to go” 9

They both nod and I get up. I walk outside and onto the deck. Everett is laying on the floor of the deck. 10

“Jimmy, Mason and I are going to the mall to get Zach and Kelly some stuff and then some other sh…I mean stuff” I say smiling at the end. 11

Mom glares at me and then smiles and says “No….I’m fine hunny. I’m working on my tan.”12

I roll my eyes and look at Karley. 13

“Same here” says Karley. 14

“Ev?” I say.15

“Yeah….I’ll go” He says opening his eyes. 16

I smile at him as he gets up and jumps off the deck. 17

“We’ll be back later” I say running after Everett. 18

Everett runs upstairs to get dressed and we go out and get into the car. Jimmy driving, Mason is the passenger seat and me in the back. Jimmy beeps the horn and Everett comes shooting out of the house. 19

He opens the door and jumps into the back, slamming the door behind him. He is breathing heavily which means he must have ran. 20

When we get to the mall we go to a baby store and by some cute clothes for Zach. And some other stuff for him. 21

“I think we should buy Kelly something like a new outfit or new shoes or something” I suggest. 22

“Yeah…ok….that’ll be good.” Jimmy says.23

We walk to JC Penny’s. 24

“Uhh…we’ll wait out here. Here’s a credit card and don’t buy her the whole fuckin store” Jimmy says25

“Jimmy….little kid” I say pointing to Everett who was smiling. 26

“Oh sorry kid” Jimmy says laughing a little. 27

I roll my eyes and walk into the store. 28

I knew what size Kelly was cause I went shopping many times with her. Plus I figured she’d get back to her old size soon. 29

I picked her out this cute light blue t-shirt that said “I’m a mom” on the front and “I swear” on the back. I thought it was cute. And a pair of light blue jeans. 30

After I paid I went over to where all the guys where sitting. 31

“Ya done?” Jimmy asks32

“Yup” I say33

“Ok. Good. Me and Mason want to go to this store where there are tons of tools and crap. So could you take Everett to go look at skateboards” Jimmy says. 34

“Sure” I say. 35

They walk off while me and Everett walk towards the sports store. We walk over to the skateboards and start looking. 36

There are a couple of teenage guys, about my age, looking at them too. Everett picks a deck up and looks at it. One of the guys start laughing and say “That’s a little big for you kid. Why don’t you look at the small ones. And don’t forget your little helmet and pads” 37

I glare at the guy. Everett puts the board back and says “Ginny. Can we leave? I don’t want a skateboard anymore” sadly and softly. 38

The boys start laughing and I growl. 39

“No. Its ok Ev. These jackasses don’t know what they are saying. You can have any skateboard you want” I say glaring at the boys who suddenly stop laughing and look at me.40

“Thanks Ginny” Everett says returning his eyes to the decks. 41

I ruffle his hair and walk over to the two boys who are both taller than me and are staring at me. 42

“uhh…you guys got a problem with my lil bro?” I ask43

“Yeah…he’s too small to skate” one of them say. 44

“Oh yeah? Well I don’t think he is. And I think you two should lay off my lil bro or I’ll fuckin kick you so hard in your baby makers that they won’t be able to even make a baby.” I say45

“Hey babe. Why don’t you just chill. We’re just messin around” one of them says. 46

I glare at them again and say “Don’t ever call me babe and leave my lil brother the fuck alone” I say and turn to walk away. 47

The one that called me babe grabs my arm a rips off one of my black bracelets. 48

“There. Now me and you gotta fuck” he says and pushes me against the wall.49

“Yeah right. Like I’d ever touch you.” I say with a sneer. 50

His face suddenly turns cold and he punches me really hard in the stomach. 51

“That’s what you get you stupid little bitch. I didn’t want to fuck you anyways. Your too stuck up and fugly for me” he says, throwing the broken bracelet at me and walks away, his friend following him. 52

Everett runs over to me. I’m on the ground groaning and holding my stomach. 53

“Ginny. Are you ok?” He says in a panicky voice. 54

“y…yeah” I manage to force out. 55

He rubs my back carefully. I get up slowly. 56

“Did you pick out one?” I ask quietly holding my stomach. 57

“Yeah” he says holding a board up. 58

“Ok. Go get one of the people to help you pick out the rest of the shit that you need” I say59

“Ok” he says and walks up to a guy at the counter. 60

About 10 minutes later Everett has everything he needs. We walk up the counter and I hand him mom’s credit card that she gave me a while ago. She told me to use it whenever I needed it. 61

After we paid we walked out and sat on a bench. Waiting for Jimmy and Mason to come. 62

“Are you ok?” Everett asks rubbing my belly softly. 63

“Ow….yeah” I say, Everett moved his hand away quickly. 64

“Sorry” he says quietly. “Its my fault” he adds65

I look at him. “Everett look at me…..it is not at all your fault. Those guys were fucked up idiots who need to get lives” I say66

He gives me a weak smile and sits back. 67

I groan and lean back too, sill holding me stomach. 68

After about 10 minutes those two guys come back. Trying to sneak back into the store without me hearing. 69

“Ginny. There are those two guys” Everett says quietly. 70

“Ev. You wait here. Don’t talk to anyone except for Jimmy or Mason. If someone asks you where your parents are tell them your waiting for your sister and that she’s just in the sports store” I say71

“Ok Ginny. Go kick his ass” He says. 72

I smile at him and get up slowly. 73

I walk casually into the store…holding my stomach of course. 74

I find the two guys in the back looking at something skating clothes. I run up to them. 75

“Hey guys” I say76

They turn around a look sort of frightened and amused. 77

“Hey babe” says the guy. 78

I smile at him and then suddenly punch him in the gut. I hit him on the back so he falls on the ground. Then I kick him in the side. 79

“Stop” he says80

“Why? Am I hurting you?” I say in a whiny voice. 81

“No fuckin duhh…..look I’m sorry. Just STOP” he says82

“Ok ok I’ll stop but its only cause I gotta get going” I say and then turn around and leave.
