How We Saved The World From Aliens Last Weekend

It all started the night of the airing of the new Avatar and Danny Phantom episodes. After…10, I think the clock read. 1

I was asleep in my bed, or at least, trying to be asleep. Scenes from Double Cross my Heart were running through my head. Over and over. I smiled. It really was a good episode, although there should have been more Danny and Sam stuff…nah, it was good like it was. My mind drifted and wandered to a conversation me and Gina had had earlier in the week(or day, I don’t remember). We were talking about the weird stuff that had been happening lately.3

Wait a second, I’m getting ahead of myself. Drat. Starting again. It began in biology, last Thursday I suppose. 5

I was sitting in Biology, wondering how the heck I was going to finish my project. That stupid thing was going to kill me! Wait a second…I’m getting ahead of myself again. Drat, why do I keep doing that?7

Okay, it really started on Wednesday, that minimum day last week. Yes. Then. (I think) Ahh! I don’t know. What I did know was that sometime during biology I heard my name being called. And some weird noises. It seemed to be coming from the lights, but, I thought to myself, yeah right, it’s nothing. Did I mention this to anyone? No. 9

At lunch, or after school, (once again, can’t remember…geez, maybe I’m the one they used the mind erase thing on…) I was talking to Gina. She had been telling me she kept hearing her name too. We brushed it off. You know, we’re only what? 15 and 14? Who cares? 11

On the phone, Gina and I were talking once again about these weird noises and stuff that was going on. She thought it was weird how I had heard voices in Biology. This stopped me cold. I hadn’t told her that…but once again, being the smart person I am, I dismissed the thought, and found out that the Ember song on Danny phantom has more the just a chorus. I shouldn’t of. It was one of the stupid things I had done…17

So, after I hang up with Gina, I call Dorothy and we chat about weird stuff. Air one, the stupid angels (oops, did I say that?) and how cool the dodgers are, etc. We start talking about Gina, and decide to do a three way. First we called your cell phone. Not there.19

“Maybe she’s been kidnapped by aliens?” Dorothy suggested, a hint of laughter in her voice. 21

“Yeah right Dorothy,” I said, grinning. So we called Gina’s house, and no one was home…22

“Weird, I just talked to her,” I told Dorothy. “Where could she have gone?” 23

Neither of us knew, so we kept talking and agreed to meet as planned at noon at my house. Me, Dorothy and Gina were going to do a few things: Watch Danny Phantom, Watch Avatar, learn to play Avatar’s trading game, work on the research report, play XBOX, swim, have lunch and hang out. It would be a cool day. So noon comes, and Gina’s a bit late. Me and Dorothy are watching Danny Phantom when the doorbell rings. We both run to the door, and find Gina standing there. 24

“Hey Gina! Come on in!” I said.26

“Yeah, we’re watching Danny Phantom.” Dorothy told her. 27

“…okay. Do you have anything to eat?” she asked. 28

Odd, I thought, she knows that we were having burgers. “Yeah, it’ll be ready in a few minutes.” I said, a but confused. Then I looked at what she had brought. “Gina, did you forget the game and the Avatar Dvd? And your towel…” 29

Gina looked at her empty hands, and then said, “Oops. I guess I forgot.”30

“It’s okay Gina,” Dorothy inserted, “We can watch Danny Phantom and play XBOX. Who needs to swim, right?” 31

“Right,” I agreed. “But first, I think we should eat.” 32

So we migrated into the backyard where we ate hamburgers and had chips. Gina seemed a bit off though…both Dorothy and I noticed it. So we decided to talk about Avatar, to get Gina back to her normal self. 33

“And then she kicked all their behinds, and her dad still wouldn’t let her go!” I told Dorothy. 34

“Why not? I mean, it seems like she’d be able to handle herself on her own.” Dorothy grinned.35

“Next weeks episode is about Zuko…” Gina said, playing with her food.36

“…and it’s going to show how evil he really is!” I said, trying to make Gina go into how he’s really a good guy and that he’s just misunderstood and if I had just seen that one episode where he doesn’t kill the Avatar that I would understand that he has a good heart. Blah. 37

But she didn’t.39

“It will really unleash his dark side,” Gina grinned. “Never before seen in anyone the episodes.” 40

Dorothy and I were shocked. We glanced at each other, and then stared at Gina. 41

“Um, Gina, are you okay?” Dorothy asked. 42

“Fine. Why?”43

“You…don’t seem like…you.” I managed to stumble out. 44

“What doesn’t seem like me?”45

“The Gina I know would not have forgotten anything Avatar, and would be hitting herself if she had.” Dorothy said.46

Gina’s eyes narrowed.47

“And the Gina I know would have gone bursting out about how Zuko isn’t evil, and he’s really good. Besides, the next Avatar episode is about Zuko’s mother…not really how he goes evil…you should know that.” I added, watching her glare at us.48

It finally hit us that this wasn’t Gina. 49

I lunged at the imposter and held her down while Dorothy asked, “Who are you and what have you done with Gina?” 50

The imposter Gina started kicking and flailing her legs, but Dorothy and I managed to hold her down. It was kinda weird, because we both knew what Gina looked like, and what was fighting us was a mirrored reflection of her. 51

Suddenly, it started glowing green.52

I quickly changed my mind; it looked nothing like Gina. 53

Me and Dorothy started backing away slowly. It watched us as it got bigger and bigger, until it was twice our height. (Which, for the record, is kinda scary) Then it pressed a button on the panal that had appeared on its arm. A flash blinded us momentarily, and then Dorothy fell to the ground. I sat down beside her, and shook her to try to wake her up. Why? That monster was coming for us. 54

“Dorothy! Dorothy! This really isn’t the time to take a nap! Wake up! Dorothy, please?” 55

Suddenly, I felt tired. I found myself reasoning to myself(which is awkward in itself) that really, it was a good time for a nap and see that chair? It really is comfy when you get used to it and why don’t I go sit in it? Next thing I knew, I was visiting Lala-land. 56

I was happily eating chocolate in my dreams when I felt someone trip over me. And fall.58

I moaned as I heard the other person thud to the ground. 59

“Is someone there?” 60

“Mmhm” I said, half-awake. “More please, and less whipped cream, if you don’t mind.” Then I turned over and went back to sleep. How long did I really think that was going to last? 61

“Felicia? Felicia, is that you? Wake up!” 62

“Why?” I asked, “Is it better then chocolate? If not, I’m staying here.”63

“What?” 64

Another voice answered, “I know how to wake her. Felicia, Danny Phantoms on. The new episode.” 65

I sat up straight, instantly alert. “What? When? Let’s go!” Then I remembered that I had watched it the day before. “You tricked me, no fair.” 66

“Wow, it worked.”67

“We should tell her to program her alarm to say that. I wonder how fast she’d jump up in the morning…” 68

It was really, really dark, as in, no sight whatsoever. My head hurt too, now that I think about it. “What happened? Where am I?”70

“We’re not really sure…” I heard.71

“Dorothy? Is that you? And Gina?” 72

“Yeah. We’re both here.”73

“Gina! Where were you? what happened?” I asked. 74

“After hanging up with you, I saw on tv that there was a 10 minute Avatar sale at Wal-mart. So we left, and went to Wal-mart, but when I got there, I fell asleep, and the next thing I know is that I was in here. So I waited, and eventually, after what seemed like forever, you two were thrown in here. Dorothy woke up first, so we crawled around till I tripped over you.”75

“So, what do we do now?” 79

Then a door that no one had noticed because it was way too dark opened and shed light across the room. We were instantly blinded, and all three of us shielded our eyes. 81

“GHlsnhWEFOPJ!!!” something standing in the door way said. Obviously, none of us were able to understand that. J 83

“What?” 84

“GHIsnhWEFOPJ!!!” 85

“What?” 86

“GHIsnh-nkklf ioensd” it grunted, not wanting to repeat itself. Instead, it pointed this gun at us(which would’ve been really cool if it wasn’t trying to hurt us) and led us out of the room into this strange corridor. And when I say strange, I mean strange. Imagine an orange room. Bright orange. With multicolored, mutated baseball bats and tennis rackets that stuck out of the wall in every direction. Next, imagine that the orange floor was a slimy orange floor, and your foot prints turned it purple. (Why? I don’t know) Oh! One more thing, the lighting was the glow in the dark purple light thing! (blanking on what those are called) Anyway, when we walked into the light, we realized that our guard thing was green, glowing green, really tall, and had five eyes. (Which is very scary…very scary.) The light made it seem more monstrous. We let it lead us where it wanted, even though it meant climbing over the freaky, mutated stuff that was slimy. (Really disgusting, you should be glad you don’t remember it!) We couldn’t talk, because none of us wanted to find out what would happen if that nice, shiny gun went off and what ever came out hit us. J 87

Finally, we were led into this room (note here: the door ways are a rhombus, which is weird.) and there was another one of these creatures. We stood in front of him, and he started jabbering at us. No one knew what he (I’m assuming it was male) was saying. He realized this, and then we were put in this room that was pink. Bright pink. Lovely color really, until the entire room zapped us with this awkward light. We all screamed, and collapsed to the ground. I don’t know about you all, but I felt like my insides were burning! After that, we were all too weak to move, so two of the, whatever they were, picked us up (not only are they big, they are very strong too…) and carried us into this gray room. In the room, there was another human being! We were thrilled. 89

“Who are you?” Dorothy asked as the three of us tried to sit up. 91

“What?” 92

“Who are you?” Gina asked.93

“What?” 94

It took us a moment to realize that he only spook Spanish, which would explain his foreign look. He had a dark tannish skin color, black eyes, and unruly short, black hair. 95

Gina quickly started talking to him. Translating, she explained that we were on a spaceship called the KLJJWOPhjfiJPIOG, (which, apparently is a highly respectable ship in the universe…and a mouthful to say, I thought) and the aliens that had kidnapped us were the HULDAS, the most fierce race ever to exist. 96

“Great,” Dorothy muttered, “Out of all the aliens in the universe, we had to get the worst to kidnap us.” 97

As Gina continued to chat with Ben, or so he called himself, I felt my head suddenly hurt. I put my hand to it, and felt dizzy for a moment. Everything seemed to swirl, and I noticed Dorothy doing the same thing. Gina grabbed Dorothy, and Ben grabbed me, and we were both dragged to the wall. Everything stopped swirling, and I was able to see again. Next thing we knew, Gina was swirling too. Dorothy recoverd, and after a few minutes, Gina stopped too. 98

“What was that?” I asked them. 99

Gina turned to Ben and asked, “Do you know what happened?” 100

“You’ve been in the pink room, haven’t you?” he replied, looking concerningly at the three of us. Gina nodded, and he continued. “If you go in there and are zapped by the light, it’s supposed to disable any powers you might have. Funny though, seeing as it has the reversed effect on humans. We get some powers, and I’m guessing yours are kicking in.” 101

Dorothy glared at them, “What is he saying?” 102

I turned to her and replied, “He says that the blinding light gave us super powers, and that they’re kicking in right now.”103

Gina, Ben, and Dorothy all stared at me. 104

“What?” 105

Ben turned to Gina, “I thought you said that she didn’t speak our language…”106

“She doesn’t…well, not yet. Still in Spanish one.” Gina answered. 107

“Hey, I can understand you Gina…wait, you got a problem with Spanish one?” I asked, feeling slightly offended. 108

“That must be your power!” Ben exclaimed. “You can understand and speak all languages!” 109

“That explains why you understood what we were saying!” Gina added. 110

Joy ran within me, “Yes! Spanish will be a breeze now!” 111

Dorothy was still staring at us, “What are you saying?”112

Gina filled her in. 113

“Really?” she asked.114

“Yeah, Dorothy, speak the Ugandan language! Let’s see if I know what you’re saying!” I said, excited. (Note, I have translated everything into English, because it will make the story easier!) 115

“Um, the angels are cooler then the dodgers?” she stuttered.117

“What? Dorothy? How…how could you?” I asked, my heart torn to pieces. (okay, well, not really, but I wasn’t happy) 118

“What did she say?” Gina asked.119

“She inferred that that lowlife angels team might actually, might actually be better then the Dodgers!” I cried out, not happy with Dorothy. Then it clicked that I could talk to anyone in the world! 120

“Wow, that was right!” Dorothy exclaimed. “I wonder what our powers are Gina!”121

A laser bolt from Dorothy’s eyes and Gina’s sudden levitation answered that question.122

Ben and I had to duck from the blast, then could only watch as Gina hit the ceiling. They were so lucky. All I could do was talk to anyone, but they got to blast people and fly. Was I jealous? No. 124

Then Gina found out she could throw blasts of energy from her hands.126

Dorothy found she could make food appear instantly. 130

“You both have two powers, Dorothy can make chocolate appear, Gina can fly, Dorothy can make chocolate appear, and Gina can throw blasts of energy and Dorothy can make chocolate appear?!” I shouted. “Don’t I get a second power?” 134

Ben put a hand on my shoulder and said reassuringly, “Some powers may take awhile to show themselves.” 135

“Some?” I asked, sorta sad.136

He looked hesitant, “Others only have one…” 137

“Oh,” I said, downcast. 138

Gina was figuring out how to move in the air, and Dorothy started throwing food and laser bolts at her to see if she could dodge them. 139

“Dorothy!”140

“Oops, did that one hit you?” 145

I smiled sadly, and then shook it off. So what if I didn’t have two powers? It was cool. I could still talk to Ben. 147

“So Ben, how did you get here and learn all this?” I asked him.148

“I was kidnapped at age 7. Been here for 9 years, flying around wherever these creeps go. It’s not all that bad, traveling around, seeing all the different stars. Did you know that the stars that make up the Big Dipper are actually alien jailhouses?” 149

I grinned as he continued, “But as much traveling as I’ve done, I’m always finding myself thinking of Earth, and my family. Always wished to go back. So it was a big surprise to find that we were returning to Earth!” 150

“Ben, why are the aliens here? Why were we the ones that were kidnapped?” I asked, afraid of the answer.151

“Because the aliens want to destroy Earth from becoming the powerful planet it will be in the future.” He answered. “They are afraid of what will happen to them.”152

“But why us?” I asked, “What do we have to do with it? And how do they know that we’re going to be so powerful?” 153

Ben looked away, “Because, when they took me, they put me in the pink room too. My ability is to see the future. They found this out, and…” he stopped short, and I could see pain in his eyes, “I would rather not talk about that.” 154

“It’s okay, I understand. But what does this have to do with the three of us?” 155

“Something, I don’t know what, happens to you guys, causing you to become angry with the world. As you grow older, you and your friends decide to go through with your plans to take over the world. And you succeed, at age 19. No one suspected it, three teens being able to do this, but it did happen. And you three, The Three, you called yourselves, changed the world. Being able to go through space was first on your agenda, after, of course, outlawing all other religions but your own. Your pressure on NASA and the other space administrations resulted in the perfect space ship, able to go anywhere at any speed, able to withstand the hottest stars and the coldest regions of space.” 156

I was shocked, “This was me, Dorothy and Gina? Or my friends from church?” 157

We watched Dorothy fling a pie at Gina, who ducked and threw a blast at Dorothy.158

“Definitely your other friends. Anyway, the only way to stop this from ever happening was to kidnap you three and not let that future take place.” Ben finished. 159

“So Gina and Dorothy fit in how?” I asked.160

“Oh, they were in charge of the space plans. If they are allowed to live out their future, a perfect ship will still be made whether or not you take over the world.” 161

“Oh, okay…I didn’t know Dorothy or Gina were interested in Astronomy.” 162

Gina and Dorothy finally stopped messing around with their new powers, and came(okay, Gina flew) over and I filled them in.163

They were both shocked. 164

“We what?” Gina asked.165

“You actually take over the world?” Dorothy asked.166

“What? You didn’t think I was serious when I told you that?” I asked innocently. 167

“Better question girls, what are we going to do now?” Ben asked, glaring at us. “I don’t know about you, but I want to get home!” 168

Then the door opened, and a (whatever they were called) took Ben out. We stared, and then went into panic. 170

Or, at least I, the one without the fighting superpowers did. 172

“Whatarewegoingtodo?Whatarewegoingtodo?Help!” I ran in circles yelling. 174

“Don’t sweat it Felicia, we’ll be fine. Me and Gina will fight them off.” Dorothy boasted. 175

“Yeah, we can handle it.” Gina assured. 176

“Have you two ever fought any aliens? And no, siblings don’t count.” I asked them. 177

They looked at each other and shrugged.178

“How hard can it be?” Gina asked.179

“Guys, these…things want to waste us! You know, they don’t want us to live? As in, die!” I practically yelled at them. 180

“Isn’t he cute?” 181

“What?” Dorothy and I said in unison, staring at Gina. 183

“You like Ben?” Dorothy asked.184

“Gina, this isn’t really the best place to find a crush…”I added. 185

Her eyes went all dreamy, “I know, but…he’s so cute!”186

Me and Dorothy couldn’t believe we were hearing this from her. I mean, the last time I had heard this voice, she was explaining her love from Avatar and that stuff. This was something new. . 187

Before we could talk anymore, the door opened and two guards came in to lead us away. 189

Dorothy and Gina didn’t fight them because they figured it would be smarter to take out their leader then it would just to leave. You know, so that way the aliens don’t come back! J So we let them lead us once again through the oddly designed orange corridors and along the way, I eavesdropped on the conversation.191

“Where are we taking them?” HULDAS number 1 asked.193

“To the digestive area. These…things, what were they called again?” HULDAS number 2 asked.194

“Humans, I think.” 195

“Yeah, I think they need to consume some elements or a combination of molecules to stay alive.”196

“Really? That’s weird. I wonder why they are the only ones in the galaxy who don’t get energy from the air.”197

“Duh, because they’re weaker then us.” 198

“…are you sure? Remember, these three end up destroying our race.”199

“These three puny things? Nah, don’t believe it. Look at them, they can barely walk!” (I had just tripped over a baseball bat looking thing, because I was getting rather angry at these two dorks.)200

“It is rather humorous to watch their pathetic legs move, but Ben can manage perfectly around here. Why can’t they?”201

They mentioned Ben! I wondered if he knew how to speak their language, and if not, how they knew his name. 202

“Don’t know, don’t care. Here we are!”203

They led us through the rhombus shaped doors and had us once again stand before the leader guy…slug…thing. I dunno. He was weird. 205

“All rise and hail the almighty LKDGUSIOJ, supreme leader of the HULDAS, destroyer of worlds, conqueror of galaxies, hope of the KLJGDF planet, dark in the light with a powerful fist crushing all who-“207

“Jeez,” Dorothy whispered, “What are they saying and why is he still talking?” 208

“It’s all that leader’s titles,” I answered back. “There’s quite a few of them, so I’m not going to bother translating.” And at this point, I used one of the only useful abilities one learns in school: the ability to zone authoritive figures voices out.209

Finally, after 5 minutes, he stopped talking and the leader motioned to some guards. 211

“There he is! OMG! Is my hair looking okay? I didn’t get any of that slimy stuff on me, did I?” Gina whispered, suddenly talking very, very fast…212

“Gina, once again, not right time nor place!” Dorothy whispered loudly as the guards brought Ben into the room. 213

“What’s he doing here?” I whispered.214

“I think he’s going to translate…” Gina replied, going googly-eyed. “He’s so talented!” 215

Dorothy and I sighed and shook our heads. Then Ben started replying to us what the leader said.216

“Greetings humans. Are you aware of the situation?” 218

We all nodded yes. 219

“Good. Then you will understand that you all have to die!” 220

We nodded no. 221

“Resistance in the slightest amount will cause us to have to destroy your planet. Hm, thinking about it, maybe we could brainwash you, destroy the planet and then you wouldn’t remember it and we could have you three geniuses work for us!” 222

Once again, we nodded no, but this time, Dorothy and Gina went superhero on me. 223

“Not while we’re still here, you filthy alien scum!” Gina cried as she started throwing energy blasts at it. Dorothy joined her and shot laser beams from her eyes. Quickly, the guards saw what was happening, and they went to protect their leader while others went to fight Dorothy and Gina. 225

Great, I thought. Finally, an action scene in my life becomes reality, and I can’t do anything in it! So what did I do? I snuck out of the room, and tried to make my way to a control room. What was I going to do? I don’t know, but the ship was so big (and I mean, big) that no one recognized me and thought I was just some intelligent alien from some intelligent planet that was onboard the ship. Being able to talk to them helped out my story. So around I ran until I found this room with all these really cool buttons. I pushed them, and what do you know? They were escape pods! Yay! So I ran back to the room where the fighting was going on, and sat next to Ben, who also was having no problems or people attacking him. 229

Dorothy and Gina had sure made a mess of things. The walls were all marked up from the blasts and lasers, and many of the guards were lying under piles of mashed potatoes(who would have known that was their weakness?) Dorothy quickly finished off the last of them, and then turned to the leader to go fight him. 231

In the meantime, Gina came running up to me and Ben (mostly Ben) and asked him excitedly, “Did you see that? Wasn’t that cool? We saved the day and are gonna get you back home! Aren’t’cha proud?” 233

I guess he was so excited that he gave her a hug of gratitude. She nearly fainted.234

Leaving the flirting twosome, I ran up to Dorothy and she was fighting the leader, who never knew what was coming. 235

“What is that, goopy stuff? And why did it destroy my troops?” he cried out loudly.236

“I don’t know what you said loser, but you are so going down!” Dorothy yelled as she dropped the largest amount of mashed potatoes I have ever seen on his head. 237

“Not the glucose!” he screamed as he melted. “We can’t handle glucose!” 238

I surveyed the mess of greenish grey mess, then gave Dorothy thumbs up, and we ran back to Gina and Ben. 239

“Did you beat him?” Gina asked. 240

“Yup, and-“ I started, but was cut off by Dorothy.241

“and it was all me! You should have seen how cool I looked! I was all like, pow, and he was all ‘alien jabber’ and then I was like, pow again, and then he was like, ‘alien scream!’ and now,” she looked around coolly, “and now he’s gone for good.” 242

“Hey, I helped too. You should’ve seen me! I was like, bam! And then the guards were like, ooh! And then I was like bambam! And the guards were like, ooh, bam! And then I flew above them and-”243

And I shook my head while they argued who looked cooler with their powers. 244

In the meantime, Ben looked like someone had punched him in the stomach. His eyes had swelled up with tears, and looked like they were about to burst any moment. Gina and Dorothy finally noticed this, and Gina ran to him in an attempt to comfort him. 245

“Are you okay Ben?” she asked conceringly.246

He looked at her absently, and then his eyes hardened, “No. No I’m not. And now, I never will be.”247

We were all confused and asked him to explain.248

“You just…you just…”249

“Kicked alien behind?” Dorothy tried.250

“Destroyed a major threat to life as we know it?” Gina guessed.251

I didn’t even bother trying, I had a sick feeling in my stomach that things we about to go terribly wrong. 252

“You just…killed the closest thing to a father I’ve ever had!” He looked at us with hatred in his eyes. “You will pay for what you have done!” 253

The three of us backed away, Gina in tears. I could’ve made some remarks about wanting to date the bad guy, but it wasn’t the right time…although Gina, I still can’t believe that you hugged the evil guy 255

Ben started slowly coming towards us. We all felt a silent force grip us. I couldn’t move. I mean, I couldn’t move at all! It was really awkward, standing there, trying to move, but not being able to move, letting the bad guy come closer and closer…creeping toward you, and you knowing that whatever he was going to do wasn’t going to be good…really weird feeling.257

He looked us all in the eye and smiled as he made his way over. 259

“You must wonder how I am able to do all this.” He said, stepping ove a pile of mashed potatoes. “See, when I went into that pink room, sure I was able to see into the future, but later I realized that I was able to control movement too. It came in quite handy when overthrew the captain of the ship and replaced him with my own goon. Soon, everyone was listening to me, and they didn’t even realize it! No wonder it was so easy for you to defeat them in the future! They’re so stupid!” He laughed, then looked at us harshly. “Enough of that now. It’s time for you three to say goodbye, permanently.” With that, the invisible force in the air carried us through the ship into a secluded room, where we were strapped (laying down, I mean) to a table. (well, actually, three different tables) He started pushing some buttons then walked over to us. 260

“Not that I really care, but do you have any questions?” Ben asked us. “I don’t like shouting out every point to my plan, so I’ll just tell you what you want to know.”262

“Is there any chance you’ll let us out?” I asked quickly.264

“No.” he glared at me, “anything else?” 265

“What are you going to do to us?” Gina asked. 266

“Well, I figure that because you destroyed my family, I’d destroy yours. You know, to return the favor.” He walked over to a desk and pulled out of a drawer a red button, then walked back. “With the push of this button, I can destroy Earth. Everyone will be instantly obliterated. But you won’t remember that, because I’m going to wipe your memories and implant new ones. You will only remember life on this ship and with me. You won’t even know that Earth ever existed.”267

“Won’t you destroy your family on Earth though?” Dorothy asked. 268

Ben smiled smugly, “Who cares? My family treated me like dirt. I had no friends, and was the target of bullies every day. There’s nothing good on Earth. When I was abducted, I was thrilled to see the far regions of space and the different planets. Other beings were so friendly that it made me realize what harm could come if humans ever made it farther then the ozone layer. So I set course for Earth with plans of destroying it.”269

“And I thought you were cute!” Gina spat at him. 270

I glanced at Gina, then asked, “What will you do with us?”271

“I think I’ll wipe your memories first, so then you can watch Earth blow as you begin to forget anything that ever happened on it. Then you will become my dedicated servants and together, we will take over the universe!” Ben yelled madly to the air. 272

“And you thought I was crazy for wanting to take over the world…” I whispered to Dorothy. 273

He pulled out from a wall a blue chip. 275

“This, when placed on your head, will erase any memory of Earth. Specially designed by me, it’s effects can never be erased. So, say goodbye to life as you know it girls, cause your world is about to change.” 276

Ben put the chip on Gina’s forehead. I couldn’t see what was happening, but there was a bright light, and then it disappeared. It made my head start spinning. 278

“Drat,” Ben said. “I didn’t realize that it knocked a person out. Oh well, I’ve never tested it on anyone before, so what was I expecting?” I heard him move towards Dorothy, but I couldn’t concentrate because my head was spinning. It stopped as he placed it on her head. 280

I saw the light begin to shine, and then started to panic. Right then, I remember thinking that the one thing I wanted was for that chip to be sent as far away as possible, so far that we would never see it again. 282

Then the light abruptly faded away. 284

“What?” Ben yelled as his eyes darted around. “Where did it go?” He started looking everywhere, on the floor, table, and on Dorothy. 286

It took me a moment to realize what happened. I had gained a new power! I could teleport things wherever I wanted. 288

You should’ve seen Ben’s face when I suddenly appeared in front of him. 290

“What? How did you do that?” he screamed.292

“Looks like everyone gets two powers, Ben.” I smirked. “And I’m going to use mine to bring you down.” 293

After realizing that he couldn’t control my movement anymore because I could just teleport anywhere, he ran for the button that could destroy Earth(he had left it on the table). I teleported it over to me before he could get it. J He was really slow. It clicked that it wasn’t there, then he turned towards me, knowing he was beaten. I sent that pathetic weasel to the sun, where (I’m sorry Gina) he was instantly melted, probably before his molecules could even remake his human shape. 294

We had to get out of there, and I knew it. I think someone had walked in on the battle scene area, because an alarm started ringing. 296

“Shoot! How are we getting back to Earth?” I said to myself, looking around. I didn’t want to try to teleport all the way to Earth, because who knew what would happen when we hit the atmosphere? “The escape pods!”297

I walked over to Gina and Dorothy, who were both knocked out, and teleported the three of us to the room with the escape pods. I figured I wouldn’t really need to know how to fly them, because once we hit the rim of the planet, I could teleport us all back home. While putting Dorothy and Gina in the pods, I saw a self-destruct button for the ship. Smiling, I ran in and pushed the button. These aliens were toast. 298

Another alarm started going off, but it said, (in the alien language) “Consider your self dead in 7….6”300

I guess one of them worked, because we were sent flying really really fast into space. Behind us, there was a large explosion that sent us flying away even faster. Alien problem fixed. Rubbing my aching face, I looked at the oncoming Earth. Finally, I decided that we were close enough that I could teleport us all home. And I did. 318

The next thing I knew, I was on my bed, and it was Sunday morning, and time to get ready for church. Everything that had happened was still fresh in my mind as I tried to teleport myself to the bathroom. I couldn’t. 320

After much thought, I realized that the Ozone layer of the atmosphere had certain chemicals that canceled out any powers we had had. Even though we technically didn’t go through it, the effects were still there. So, doing it the old fashion way, I stood up and walked to the bathroom. There was a mark on my face from where I had tripped going into the escape pods. 321

A thought ran through my head. We just saved the world…and only the three of us knew. At school, I found out that Gina had no memory and Dorothy only remembered parts of it because I teleported the chip away before it finished erasing her memory. (Okay, the chip actually didn’t destroy the memory of earth, just of the memory in space! I wonder how Ben would have reacted if he had known that…) 323

So really, we had just saved the world, and only I knew it. 325

And why couldn’t I tell anyone? The government found the pod, traced the skin cells left on the door to me (because I lost a few as I hit my head) and made me and Dorothy sign something saying we couldn’t tell anyone. They implanted memories into all of our heads, (which will explain why we all thought we did homework all weekend) and then left us without trying to figure out if the memories had erased my own of the entire experience. 327
