The Unlucky Me - Chapter 11

We get to the restaurant and get a huge table. Everyone stares at us as we walk in. I glare at some people and they look away. 1

I sit between Everett and Jake. 2

“So how have you been kiddo?” Jake asks me3

“Ok. Did mom tell you David got me a puppy?” I ask4

“No. She didn’t.” he says5

“Oh well she’s an Australian Shepard and her name is Fly” I say smiling. 6

“That’s good.” Jake says and then he ruffles me hair. 7

I hit him playfully on the arm and her acts like it hurt him. I laugh and so does half the table. 8

After we get our food the table goes pretty quiet. 9

After a while I feel something hit the top of my head. I look at Everett who has a straw in his mouth. 10

“You little brat” I say picking up my straw and putting some mashed potatoes in the bottom. I aim it at Everett. He ducks and it splatters all over mom. She glares at me. 11

“That’s enough” she sys quietly but sternly. I laugh and Everett laughs too.12

When we get home I help Kelly take her bags up into Jake’s old room. We all sit in the living room talking and laughing and I actually have fun hanging out with my family. 13

Everett falls asleep in my lap after a while. I look at the clock. Its only 10 to 6. I wonder “How can he be asleep already” 14

I sign to Mason “Can you lift him off me so I can take him upstairs?” He nods and gets up. He picks up Everett, I stand and he puts Everett into my arms. His arms wrap around my neck. I carry him up and into his room. Sydney was watching TV in their room. 15

“He’s asleep already?” She asks me16

“Yeah so be quiet ok?” I says She nods and turns back to the TV. She is watching Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon. 17

I walk back downstairs and sit down on the floor. 18

“Ginny, is it ok if me, David, Jimmy, Karley, Jake and Kelly go out for a while” my mom asks me. I nod and they all get ready to leave. Must be they already asked Mason if they could go. 19

After they leave me and Mason watch TV for a while. I hear someone screaming upstairs. I grab Mason’s arm and he follows me. 20

I run into the twins room to see Everett on the floor, thrashing, kicking and punching the air. He’s screaming too. Sydney is no where to be found. 21

“Go find Sydney” I sign to Mason. 22

I run over to Everett and shake him. Finally after about 2 minutes he sits up really fast, he’s sweating, and breathing heavily. 23

“What’s wrong?” I ask24

“I…I…I had a really bad dream I guess” Everett says. 25

“What was it about?” I ask him, helping him back up to his bed.26

“This thing was chasing me….and…..and it was breathing heavily, he was saying something too” he says27

“Was he saying You have no where to run. I’m going to get you eventually, you’re just wasting your fighting energy by running away and then did he laugh” I say28

“Yeah…something like that” Everett says29

“Oh man.” I say30

“What?” Everett asks me with wide eyes31

“I had that same dream. You were too young. I was around the same age as you.” I say32

“Is it bad though. You don’t have them anymore I mean….do you?” he asks shaking a little33

“Oh Ev. You are gonna have them for a long time bud. I had the same kind of dream about once a month for about a year.” I say34

“Oh. I don’t like these dreams Ginny. They scare me.” He says starting to cry35

“I know bud. I know” I say bringing him into my arms36

Mason walks into the room carrying Sydney, she’s crying too. 37

“Everett scared her so she ran into the bathroom and hid in the closet” Mason says. 38

I nod and he lays Sydney back onto her bed. I tuck Everett back in. 39

“Can you leave the light on?” Everett asks. 40

“Sure bud” I say. Me and Mason walk to the door. 41

“AND keep the door open” Everett says as I was reaching for the door. 42

“Of course” I say. 43

Me and Mason walk back downstairs and just sit, without the TV on so I can hear if one of the kids need us again. 44

When everyone else comes home I tell mom and Everett. 45

“Hey, I remember when you had those dreams” Jake says to me.46

“Yeah, and you came in my room every time and held me until I calmed down” I say47

“Yeah.” Jake says smiling. 48

‘That’s like the ONLY time you were EVER nice to me” I say49

“Yeah right. I was nice to you” he says50

I chuckle and say “Chyeah ok” 51

I yawn and run my hands through my hair. 52

“I’m going to bed” I say and sign. 53

“Night” everyone says at almost the same time. 54

I walk over to Fly’s cage to say goodnight to her. She sits up and I stick my hand in. She licks my hand and I kiss her head. 55

I walk upstairs and into my room. I get into a pair of shorts and a tank top and climb into bed. I fall immediately asleep. 56

I have a dream about Matt. I was just about to kiss him and then Shane shows up. He punches Matt in the eye and then kisses me. He was just about to say something and then I hear my mom yell “TIME TO GET UP!!” I growl into my pillow and get up slowly. I glance at the clock. 12:3057

“Who cares if I sleep the day away” I think to myself. 58

Then I think about what day today is. Its Saturday. Then it hits me MATT’S PARTY is TONIGHT!!!59

“Oh shit” I say aloud. 60

“KARLEY, KELLY? Can one of you come up here!” I yell downstairs. 61

I here feet running up the stairs. Both Karley and Kelly come into my room. 62

“What is it?” Kelly says holding her belly and breathing hard. 63

“Sorry Kelly. I have a party to go to tonight and I have no idea what to where” I say64

“Aww….my little sister. Going to her first party! Yay!” says Karley. 65

I roll my eyes. 66

“Lets see what you have” Karley says walking over to my dresser and pulling it open. She digs for about 2 minutes and then says “You have all guy clothes. Lets go shopping” 67

“Ohh…come on. I bet I can find something” I say68

“No no no. We’re going shopping. Kelly did you want to come or will that over exert you” Karley says. 69

“I better stay home. I’ love to come but I should stay” Kelly says. I give Kelly a hug and rub her tummy. 70

“I can’t wait to be an aunt” I say smiling at her. 71

She smiles back and says “Well you’ll prolly be one soon. Zach’s been kicking a lot lately” 72

I laugh and rub her tummy again. Seeing if the baby will kick and it did. 73

“Oh my god. I felt him kick” I say74

Karley runs over and I show her where to put her hand. “aww….I can’t wait till I can have a baby in my tummy” 75

I get dressed while Karley helps Kelly back downstairs. I walk downstairs and we walk out the door and into Karley/ Jimmy’s car. 76

I turn it on the BUZZ station which is a rock station and we head towards the closest mall which is about 1 hour away.
