a vampires diary chapter six

Once they arrived at the bottom of the stairs, Claudius ran a hand over KoKo’s hair and pressed a kiss to where his hand was, and then he turned and opened up the door…only to see Louis and Persephone arguing furiously, then out of the blue, Louis pressed a kiss to Persephone’s lips and then pulled away a couple of seconds later, both of their eyes wide with shock.
“I’m sorry.” KoKo heard Louis whisper. But before Persephone could answer him, Claudius stepped into the room.
“I believe that KoKo and I have worked out everything that needed to be sorted…oh, did I interrupt something?” he asked as he sat down on the couch with KoKo at his side.
“No brother, of course not.” Louis said, looking at his feet. A couple of seconds later, Louis and Persephone sat side by side on the love seat.
“I was right.” Persephone mumbled
“No you weren’t.” Louis said, as he turned to her, ready for another argument.
“Yes I was”
“No”
“Yes”
“No”
“Yes”
“No”
“Will you two shut up! Geez, you two are arguing like an old married couple.” KoKo exclaimed. But Persephone and Louis just looked at each other in disgust, then at KoKo in anger. “Hey, I just tell it how I see it.” KoKo shrugged.
“Okay, let’s drop it. Tell us about that dream that you had.” Persephone said, shooting a glare at Louis.
KoKo just looked at Claudius, who then nodded in approval. So KoKo drew in a deep breath, then exhaled. “My dream was about Courtney.”
At that moment Louis caught his brother’s eye, as if to say ‘is this true?’ and Claudius nodded.
“Who is Courtney?” Persephone asked. Louis just turned to her and started to explain about Claudius’s wife, Courtney, and daughter, Angela. About what they thought had happened, and about how they died.
“But KoKo told Claudius what really happened right?” Persephone looked at KoKo hopefully, who nodded.

After a little while of explaining her dream, KoKo decided to go back up to her room and get her old diary for Persephone, Agnes, Louis and Claudius to flip through.
“KoKo, why isn’t there more pages?” Agnes asked once she finished reading through the book. But KoKo just shrugged her shoulders.
“The diary takes place during the two weeks that my father started drinking, well, more than he usually did at least.”
“Did anything…different happen during those two weeks?” Persephone asked, taking the black diary from Agnes.
But KoKo just shook her head and sat down next to Claudius on the couch. “Besides the drinking, no…nothing that I can remember. Besides, I wrote everything down in that book”
“Did you keep a dream journal?” Louis asked, looking at her straight in the eyes.
But KoKo just shrugged her shoulders “I don’t know…why?” she said, but Claudius was the one who answered her.
“After the dream you had about what happened to Courtney, maybe you had other dreams about the past or future.”
“That’s not possible, because all of the females in our clan have the same gift, it was given to us exactly a minute after we turn…it’s sort of like a tradition. But premonitions only come to us unless something was about to happen, or if someone was done wrong.”
“That’s right, I also have the gift”
“Have you had any visions sister?” KoKo asked Persephone, who then smiled.
“Yes…about Hanzi.”
“The highway thief?” Louis asked, pushing to his feet.
“Don’t worry yourself Louis…Hanzi is just Selene’s ex-boyfriend.”
“What happened?” KoKo asked
“I’ll tell you later…when the room is less crowded.” She said, nodding to the two Spenser brothers.
“Ahh…I see…wait, okay back to the previous subject…. you said a dream journal right?” KoKo asked Louis, who then nodded. “I think that I might have kept one…in the attic, which is where I kept the diary, but I don’t know if it was moved or not…after all the diary was moved…”
“Don’t worry about it, we’ll go upstairs and check anyway.” Claudius while holding her hand in his. Koko just looked down at their joined hands, then up to his eyes and smiled.
“Brother, is there something going on between you that we should know about?” Louis asked.
“Not that I can recall, no. Come KoKo, we should check the attic for the dream journal.” With that KoKo and Claudius exited the room to go upstairs.
Once they were out of earshot, Louis spoke up “Something is definitely going on between those two…but until we found out, do you want to go out and get something to eat?” he asked Persephone.
She just looked at him in the eyes, then smiled when she saw that he was joking. “Sure, we don’t really have anything better to do…since the only entrance to attic is through KoKo’s room. They’ll be too…preoccupied to open up the door.” Taking Persephone’s hand in his, they exited the room and went out into the night air.
