While sitting at her desk, Rose thinks back to the early '80's . Rose knew that things were always changing in the world, but for some reason lately she found herself thinking more and more about the past.1

Day dreaming of what tomorrow may hold in store for her,as she walks through the door,
"Rose, did you remember to get the mail?" her mother June hollers from the nursery where she is changing to her 10 month old sister, Jeanne, who had just woke up from her nap.3
"Oops, sorry mom, I 'll get it real quick." as she heads back out the door.4
As she is going through the mail, her spirits plummet,as she noticed a large envelope with the return assress of the commanders office on the base.5
"No! Not again!" she screams. "I'm not moving again! Why can't dad get out of this damn life? Mom-we are moving again." Rose says as she helps her mom bake the pies for dinner tomorrow.6
"Mom, I just got used to this school, and started going out with Emerson. This is not fair. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, my birthday is only a few days away, then we have Christmas. Why do we have to keep moving? I hate it."7
"I know, I know. But honey, please try to understand, this is you dad' livelihood. This is the life he has always wanted and dreampt about."8
"I know mom." she sighs, and as an after thought, "Mom, where do you think we are going this time."9
"I don't know honey, just try to be paitent for dad, ok."10
"June, I'm home" Neil calls from the front door.11
"Hi Daddy, did you see Emerson yet?" Rose asks her father.12
"No, and I really with you would forget that boy. He is just like his good for nothing father."13
"Speaking of which, here honey, this came in the mail today. June tells him as she hands him the envelope from the commanders office.14
"I knew this was going to be happening, but I didn't think it was going to be this soon." he says as he sits down in his favorite chair. "So shall we see where we are off to this time?" he asks them.15
"I can't believe it, this is the one I have been waiting for! We are heading for Korea!"16
Rose couldn't believe her ears, as she starts crying hysterically. Through her sobs, "Daddy you can't be serious?"17

You have a great concept here, but as you said, it's a rough draft. There are some tense issues, for example, in line five you use "plummet" in the present tense and "noticed" in the past tense. Some grammar mistakes that are probably typoes, as well. But I like the concept and would like to read more of this!
