Aevin III

The cloaked figured walked into the pub with a cat-like grace the bartender had seen duplicated only once. He shook his head as if to get rid of the memory, and smiled toward the unknown figure. He couldn't quite tell if it were a man of woman, so he said, "Godday, can I gat cha anyting?" A slender hard reached out from under the cloak and pushed back the hood, reaveling a young woman of startling contrast to anyone from the village. Her hair wa long and blue, an unusual color, but he figured she dyed it somehow. Her skin was pale and she had a long, willowy frame. The woman looked at him with eyes more gold than green, to much like a cat's for his liking. She had very pronounced curves, and as she let the cloak drop to lay on the bench, many a young man took his time to stare. The bartender could tell from the way her arm muscles rippled slightly and the small but long bulges under her arm that, not only was she fitter than any of the louts that were staring, she was also armed with a variety of knives concealed all over her body.3

"I will have an ale, if you will." She spoke carefully, as if she was not used to the toungue in which she spoke. Obviously someone from inside the wall the bartender decided, But what is she doing here? He thought to himself. The wall surrounded the peaks of the mountain, and no one was allowed in or out, especialy not the girls. 4

"'O course miss." He walked behind the counter, and returned shortly with the ale, only to find some boys had decided to try their luck with the young girl. He could see why, she was the most beautiful woman he had every seen, but he felt sorry for the boys. 5

"Well, what have we have here, some young maiden, alone in this cruel world, need ya a companion to travel these streets, and, I myself would ask only a small price, unlike some other ones you would meet here." The man smiled sweetly, and the woman turned, and smiled back. He has no idea who I am, thought the woman to herself, unlike the bartender, he knows exactly where I am from, and what I can do. The man put a hand on her shoulder, and she brought hers up to meet it, almost like she would have if it had been Sei with his arm, but with one difference, she planned on breaking each and everyone of his fingers, not holding his hand.6

Each crack was followed by a yelp, and soon the man circled away, demanding to know what she was. The maiden turned and spoke loud enough fo the ennitre village to hear.7

"I am Aevin Starfire, be warned, anyone who tries anything will end up worse than this BOY, over here. She pointed to the boy, who was clutching his fingers and shouting. She took one look at him, kneed him in his lower stomach, and hit his head withthe hilt of one of hr daggers, which had dropped down from its ties on her upper arm. "Know that I will do worse to any who tries to touch me. That is all," and with a final flourish of her daggers, she spun around, blue hair falling around her like a wave. The bartender raised an eyebro as she faced him to get her cloak, and she winked. He is obviously smarter than any f these half wits she thought to herself, and, thats good, i may need an alley later, and whose better than the bartender, he, he receiver of all gossip. She smirked as she walked into the bright sun, and waved back to the staring crowd.8
