Deadly Detention - Chapter 2

“No you think” says Trevor with anger in his voice.

“Trevor calm down.” I say

He gives me an evil glare and then looks away. He shines the flashlight around.

“Look guys. We need to find a way out of this school” He says.

“Sshhh” says Cade. “Listen” he whispers.

We all go quiet. I hear someone breathing heavily.

I look at Trevor and see his face flush.

“What do we do?” Andy asks.

“Uhh……I don’t know” says Trevor.

“What do you mean you don’t know?” says Alexa with a shaky voice.

“I said I don’t fuckin know Alexa.” says Trevor.

“Ok” I say. “Cade grab that knife. Everyone hold onto each other again. We’re going to the library” I say

“But..but….but” says Alexa

“But nothing Alexa. We’re going and thats final. Don’t say anything Zoe. I know that’s where he wants us to go. That’s why we need the knife” I say.

I walk towards the library and surprisingly everyone follows. Cade holding onto the knife lightly.

We walk in. Its dark. The only light is in a small corner of the library. The farthest from the door of course.

“Come on” I say. We walk through the library. Walking towards the light.

I hear a faint noise.

“What is that?” asks Alexa with a shaky voice. I could see her trembling. Andy has his arm lightly wrapped around her. Zoe is holding Cade’s arm tightly too.

I look around, my eyes slowly getting use to the darkness.

I could see Trevor looking around anxiously.

I looked at the lighted up corner. There was a chair. Sitting in the chair was a dark figure, holding what looks like to be a rope.

Then I heard the noise again. This time it was louder. I start looking everywhere around me.

“Get together” I say to my friends.

I start pushing them all together and I stand in front of them. Both me and Trevor look around fiercely and walk around our friends.

Alexa is whimpering and Andy is trying to calm her.

Again I look at the corner but the figure was gone. “Shit” I say under my breath

I look around and spot a dark figure behind of a self of books. I keep my eye on it as it moves closer. Trevor stands next to me. I can tell he sees it too.

“Give me that knife Cade” he says.

Cade hands him the knife.

My breathing starts to quicken.

"What the fuck do you want!" Trevor yells

The dark figure stops moving.

Then we hear that aweful, hysterical, evil laugh.

"Why, I just want to have fun Trevor" we hear.

"Leave us the fuck alone" Trevor yells back.

The laugh again.

The dark figure starts to move again.

Alexa screams and grabs Andy.

"Lets get the fuck out of here!" Andy yells

We all start running towards the library door.

It closes and locks.

"FUCK!" Cade yells

"Oh my god. What do we do now?" Zoe says

"Hold on" I say

I look around, no dark figure.

"Shit.." I say under my breath.

Trevor hears me and starts looking around frantically.

"Where'd he go?" Trevor asks.

"I don't know" Andy says, holding onto Alexa.

Cade tries the doors again, they open after he slams against them.

We all run to the front doors again.

Trevor shines his flashlight on the body hanging, then he cuts the rope.

The body falls to the floor.

Mr. Howe, the gym teacher.

I put my fingers on his neck, no pulse.

"He's dead" I say
