Mina's Forbidden Fruit (part three)

Kulkin made to the castle through secret tunnels that Viktor is not even aware of. Just as Viktor was going to attack his precious Mina, he rushed through that using every form of attack that he knew he and some that he was not even aware of. Viktor was badly hurt and he retreated, so Kulkin used that time to get Mina and the child that she was protecting out of the castle. Kulkin takes Mina and the child to a small cabin, that he knows is protected and that Viktor would be very weary of following them too. By way of secret passage they are able make there safely. Mina explains that Viktor wants to kill the child and why. Upon finding out that they produced a child together, Kulkin is hurt and feels that he is to blame for Viktor’s attack on Mina and Ratava. He tells her that, he will never let any harm come to her or their child and that he is going to take them back to his people, no matter what they think.1

They arrive at Kulkin’s village safely and many recognize Mina, as a vampire, but they also wonder how is it that she is walking in the sunlight. All know that vampire have an aversion to the sun. Kulkin is puzzled by this himself so he goes to the Wiseman of his village and asked. The Wiseman, tells him of why we are at constant war with vampires. Avatars are the one of the few beings that can kill a vampire, it is said that the blood of a avatar, that is pure of heart, can kill a vampire, but is also has healing powers, for those vampires that not vampires by choice, those few vampires that are truly innocent of the evil of being a vampire. The Wiseman goes on to tell him that, the child that Kulkin and Mina have made together is going to be a very strong avatar, that he is not a vampire, for when he was in his mothers womb, he healed her of the evil running through her veins. Kulkin asked how this was possible, no mere fetus, could have such power. The Wiseman tells him that the mother and child shared the same blood, and therefore healed the mother.2

Kulkin is happy that Mina was no longer a vampire, and was welcome in his village, but he was also scared for her. For surely they will be a few that will hate her for what she was and now they are on the run from Viktor. For the what happened today, Viktor will surely want revenge and that will bring danger to his people. Kulkin knew what he must do, he must get Mina and Ratava to safety. They must leave and by doing so protect his people from Viktor’s wrath.
