Gaining Trust (pt 5)

Marie laid on Bobyb's bed in a complete bliss. She'd never have to see her dad again. Not only did she never have to see her dad again. Bobby's mother would make sure she stayed in the same area to go to the same school. Her and Erin's lives were going to be so much better now. She smiled warmly at the thought. Yeah, it was a little scary and new, but, it had to be better than what they were living before.
Bobby walked up about half an hour later. Marie had closed her eyes and relaxed, smiling still. Bobby sat on the side of the ebd closest to the door and leaned over so that his face was mere centimeters away from hers, "Marie, you might want to get dressed so we can go out to dinner."
She jumped slightly, opening her eyes and then laughing, "We're going out to dinner? I thought you said your mom was-"
"Me and you are going out. She's going to take care of Erin."
"O...k... but what am I going to wear?"
"Anything. You're beautiful like you are now."
Marie blushed softly, smiling. She got up out of the bed, then walked into the bathroom and changed. "Hey Bobby?" she called.
"What's up Marie?"
She looked in the mirror, "Do you have a hairbrush and hairtie or something I can put my hair up with?" she asks, thinking she looked terrible.
"There's a hairbrush in the cabinet....why would I have a hairtie? There's some hairgel in the cabinet too....there might be hairspray. There's a flattening iron too."
She looked int he cabinet and grabbed the flattening iron, then the hairspray and fixed her hair. She decided to just wear her undershirt, as well as the blue jeans she had worn before. She walked out, smiling, "Alright, I'm ready."
Bobby thought she looked absolutley stunning...even more so than usual. HE grabbed his car keys off the dresser, glancing in the mirror to make sure he looked at least halfway as good as she did, then offered her his empty hand.
She took it and led the way downstairs. "Erin!" she called.
Erin walked over, dressed in clothes that were completely different than those she had come in, "Yeah?"
"I'm going to go out with Bobby, will you be okay?"
Erin smiled and nodded, "I like it here."
Marie smiled back, then let Bobby lead the way outside to his car.
He opened the door for her and closed it for her once she was in, then got in and drove to Red Robin.
They walked in together. As soon as the waitress sat them at a table, and Marie had sat down across from Bobby, Marie's eyes grew wide in fear.
"Bobby..." she whispered.
He tilted his head, "What's wrong?" he asked quietly.
"My dad...is right behind you." she whispered.
He looked up. Sure enough, the big burly man he had come to know as Marie's abusive father stood there.
"Where have you been my sluttiest daughter?!" he asked, trying not to draw attention, then grabbed her arm with a force that knocked her chair over as he started to drag her outside. She looked at Bobby, trying to fight back and get away. After a moment, she kicked her father hard in the shin and ran into Bobby's arms, shaking slightly because it had scared her.
"Everywhere as long as it wasn't where you were." Marie answered her father's question with a hint of anger in her voice.
"Don't you try to backtalk em after that little show!" he yelled and came towards her. Bobby moved MArie out of her father's way. "Leave her alone!"
By now, they had started to draw attention, much to Marie's relief. Hopefuly someone would call the police. "Bobby don't!" she said, "He's goign to hurt you!" her father punched Bobby, making him wheel backwards into a table. MArie started towards her dad angrily, but he grabbed her. She heard police sirens outside and started fighting to get away from her father just as a few officers, including Mindy, ran in, guns drawn. "Put her down and nobody gets hurt!"
Seeing that he wasn't going to get away with taking her back home, he dropped her hard on the floor.
"Put your hands in the air!" Mindy yelled.
Her father put his hands up annoyedly. "I'll be back for you Marie." he hissed as the police searched him then took him out to a police car to be hauled away to prison.
MArie rushed over to Bobby, "Are you okay?!" she asked as she helped him to a sitting position.
"Yeah I'm fine. He didn't hurt you did he?!"
"No. Someone called the police. He's gone." she hugged him tightly, "Thank you." she whispered.
He hugged her back, "You're welcome. Can we eat now?"
She nodded, then stood up, helping him up, "Yeah let's eat."

Its still good! I like it a lot. I don't think the dad is getting out of prison anytime soon! Well, I feel happy for Marie.
