Fallen angels

Prologue
A dark and dreary night a star falls from the heavens. But this is no normal falling star it is an angel falling from glory. The second angel to fall from glory in two years. They will meet and they will strive to return to the glory of the heavens or they will be sent straight to the darkest depths of Hell. On the day of judgement they may have to lay down their lives but will go back to the heavens.
Twenty years later
Damien opens his eyes to dazzling sunlight and turns over in his bed and sees Danielle is still asleep but what do you expect it is 6:30 and you didn’t exactly have an early night. But you can hear Mark stirring so you get up and look out the window. You love this time of the day hardly any one is up and the light has a red and orange tint which warms more than your skin.

When you get down stairs you see Mark is watching the television. You say
“Good morning. You little shit” he says back
“Fuck off you wanker” you retort with a
“What else do you do if no one is there to lend a helping hand?” at that you both laugh and you go to the kitchen and get a cup of coffee. As you sit down you see on the news that carbon dioxide levels are starting to rise causing the sea temperature to raise. All the major climatologists are warning for industries to lower their use of fossil fuels or they will damage the climate too much you try to keep the way you live fairly environmentally safe so you can say at the giant pearly gates to Saint Peter himself
“I tried,”

Danielle walks into the room and you just admire her. She is the most beautiful woman you have ever and will ever have the honour of knowing she is about six foot tall and has long gorgeous hair and a truly sublime body. She walks over to you and kisses you softly on the lips and sits down next to you cuddling up next to you. Mark complains saying
“Get a fucking room,” You look at Danielle and say to Mark
“We could but I just want to annoy you,” Mark just throws a cushion at you calling you “a fucking pain in the arse,” You say
“What are older brothers for?” Mark is 18 but for someone so young has had a traumatic life when your mother died he became dangerously depressed and tried taking his life a few times but Kristin Elizabeth McDermott pulled him through it and they are now going out and getting rather serious. You were in the army a rather promising young Para but had your career cut short by an accident on a training drop where your chute failed to open fully and you hit the earth at a speed of fifty miles per hour having had only quarter a chute to slow you down. It left you with a permanent limp and a broken army career. In physiotherapy you astonished all the doctors who predicted a four year intensive physiotherapy course before you were even able to consider walking with crutches but a year later you walked or rather limped out of the physiotherapy centre and on a celebration dinner with your then girlfriend of several years you proposed and you say to her now you have the honour of waking up and having an angel lying next to you.

You limp over to your car and set off to work when you see Natalie Howard stepping into her porche you wave and climb into your dream car an Aston Martin DB5 in the same paint as the bond car. You pull out of your drive way and go for the thirty minute drive to your office. You are the head of a successful parachuting company called “sky line parachutes” who offer jumps free of charge as long as they are for a charitable cause and you raised the minimum price.

Stepping into your office you sit at your desk and see the picture of you, Mark and your mother. Then the memory of that fateful night plays through your head. You were woken up at 3:00 in the morning by a phone call. You picked it up and said sleepily
“Hello?” then you hear Marks distraught voice
“Damien. Its mum she has been in a car crash!” you ask how she is and discover she is in ITU and isn’t expected to survive the night. You slam down the phone and run up the stairs to your room as you run in Danielle is woken up and sounds scared she says
“Damien. What is up?” you tell her about your mother as you struggle with your shirt buttons shaking too badly to grip them Danielle comes over and says
“I am coming down with you. I won’t be able to sleep,” She gets you a tee shirt and you chuck it on run to your car and race to the hospital. When you get there you see that the ITU is rather busy. You spot Mark and run over to him and pull him into a hug he steps back and you see his face is shining from tears his eyes are red and blood shot. Then you see your mum. She is crushed and on a ventilator the doctors have her heart in their hands and are pumping it to keep her alive. At that sight you collapse.

When you come round you have been laid down on a bed you see everyone looking extremely depressed then Mark starts to cry. Then it hits you. She is dead. You are never going to be able to talk to her again. You are never going to see her again. She is gone for ever. Forever.

After a rather boring day at work you sort out a jump for yourself which you like to do even after the accident. You do an accelerated free fall jump the closest you can get to your former career. At 12,000 feet you look out the side of the plane and see the most unusual sight. A small orb of the brightest white light you have ever seen. No one else notices it though many are looking out the windows. It makes you feel so happy and that you have a higher purpose in life. Just then someone jumps then you jump a difference of one second equals sixty metres between you but some thing is wrong they are spinning out of control you go into a high speed dive and ram into them grabbing and stabilising them but they are unconscious wearing an instructors rigging you strap them to your chest and pull the D-ring and let it fall guiding the both of you down to earth you hit the ground softly and the person is carted of to hospital for a suspected broken rib and whip lash. But they thank you for saving their life.

That night you have the most unusual dream. It was in the most vivid colours bright whites and shimmering gold’s. Then a disembodied voice booms out to you. You searched in vain for the source of this powerful voice. It says to you.
“Damien. Thy is no mere mortal! Thee is an angel fallen from glory bound to the earth till the days of judgement which draw nigh. Thine actions between now and then determine whether thee comes here or to a place much worse.

You wake up in a moment of absolute clarity and see the fine definitions between good and evil and most of your life is spent on the side of good. The only time you strayed into evil is in the paras where you killed several men but that is the only time.

You can’t wait for judgement day and the glory of the heavens. Danielle sits up and has the same look on her face she has had the very same dream. A look of anticipation plays across her face. But life must continue. You may be a fallen angel but you aren’t immortal so you have to continue work to get some money in. when you step out side you spot Natalie she has the same look on her face as she climbs into her car she sees you and in that second you know she is a fallen angel too. She walks over to you and says to you.
“Are… Are you One as well?” the look on your face says it all and she says to you “tomorrow can you and Danielle come to my lab? I want to show you something I think we could use in the days to judgement. You agree. The advantage of being your own boss is you can take time off when you need it.

After a rather uneventful day at work. You are driving home and see a man is getting beaten up in an alley way you pull over and get out and run over to help. Being a Para even an ex Para you are still built like a brick shit house. When you reach the fight you grab the assaulter by the back of his jumper and drag him back you then plant a hefty punch into his stomach then his face. You feel the man go limp and drop him onto the floor and go over to the man who was being beaten. He is in a bad shape and so is the man you knocked out. You take them both to your car and drive them to the hospital. Knowing it is the right thing to do with the assaulter instead of leaving him in that alley.

When you get home you tell Danielle what happened today after work she has a home office in the attic which is rather light and airy compared to your office in the cellar. It has an assortment of weapons. Your pride and joy is the sword and several gadgets from the Blade films and the coat from Blade two. They are all razor sharp swords and fully functioning fire arms. You have all ways liked weaponry of all sorts from ancient Japanese samurai swords to modern day machine guns. In your collection of assault rifles has an AK47, an M16 Carbine and a 203 grenade launcher all fully functioning and because of your military service (no matter how short) all legal although 203 grenades are near impossible to acquire even to a solder in the store. But you have one of the 3 most used rounds. White phosphorus, high explosive and incendiary grenades all live and working. While Danielle’s office is a bright sunlight room with no weaponry. Because of the contents you have a key code and a thumb print scanner that only you and Danielle know even your brother hasn’t entered all the CCTV cameras feed into this room so you can be locked away just a turn of the head allows you to see the entire house and its goings on.

In the morning you get ready to go to Natalie’s lab. Natalie is the youngest expert in advanced cybernetics and weapon systems integration. You have been friends since you were both young. When she was sixteen she got an offer to go to MIT in America because of her skills in advanced cybernetics not having access to weaponry back then but after four months of practise she successfully created a stress activated tazer attaching to your arm and eight months she had successfully integrated an M16 into a chest plate. By eighteen she was an authority in advanced cybernetics and weapon system integration.

When you step out side you see Natalie is ready you all get in your car and set off. Natalie has all ways asked you and Danielle to test her latest creations. Last time it was a simple exoskeleton with no offensive weapons but a humanitarian exoskeleton used in natural disasters it had the ability to sense heat and gaseous collections where bodies lay. It could lift immense weights and is in use all over the world.

You step into her lab and after all the times you walk in you still are in awe. It is like walking into a space ship all weaponry and computers around you but at the end is what you must be testing there stands four immense exoskeletons with a giant tube on its back. Natalie says
“I introduce you to B.A.R.E. battle and rescue exoskeletons!” the slick and smooth exoskeletons seem to shine. You say
“There are four. Why is that?” she tells you
“Me and Steven are going to be along side you testing these babies out,” You asked how these would be useful in getting to heavens. And she replied saying
“these don’t just have weapons and immense strength they are the combat versions of my R.E. they are fully combat and rescue equipped so they can save or take lives we can go to humanitarian disasters with the ram jets built in and help out,”
“You mean these are flight capable!” Danielle asked sounding amazed
“What about fuel?”
“A ram jet works of the heat given off when the air is compressed and ejected they are simple but only effective at super sonic speeds,” You say Natalie says
“They should be approximately go at mach 3.1,” you say
“Lets take these babies for a test then,” As you climb into a cybernetic neural interface suit that is required to use the B.A.R.E. you remember when Natalie returned. You were sat at home. When there was a knock on the door. You went to answer it and as you opened the door. There she stood with a huge smile on her face she yelled at you saying
“I’m back and I am here to stay!” she grabs and hugs you. Danielle came down at the yelling and sees Natalie. She has never met her but you have told her about her. She says
“You must be Natalie. I am Danielle. Damien’s wife,” She adds showing her ring. Natalie smiled and said
“I know. Damien told me about you. I am sorry I couldn’t come to your wedding but we were working on a project for the US army all hush hush though” you said
“It is okay. I understand your job is difficult and…” Natalie burst out saying “advanced cybernetics isn’t hard!” you say
“It must be hard to get away from though” she says
“Yes it is hard to get time off when you work under a deadline” you spent the rest of the day reminiscing.

Natalie walks in when you are both dressed. And says
“Time for a test flight then” even though she is only a friend you can’t help looking at her curves in the tight suit she is wearing. When you step into the B.A.R.E. it starts up straight away. You step forward and out a door into the darkened day with an overcast sky blocking all the sunlight as Danielle and Natalie step up with you. You ask Natalie where Steven is. She tells you to familiarize your self with the equipment while he gets here. You take her offer up straight away and test out your exoskeletons strength by lifting a giant fallen tree it must weigh several tonnes and you lift it with ease. You throw it into the air and it must go thousands of feet and you see an arsenal big enough to occupy America. You select a small conventional rocket and shoot the tree a mere fifty feet in the air destroying it. When you hear Stevens voice over your radio he has a very deep voice for such a small guy. He says
“I have just got in the B.A.R.E. guys sorry to keep you waiting” you say
“No problem mate we were just trying these babies out and now we can go flying,” Natalie says to you all
“Right to get these jets working we need a runway to run down. Follow me,” As she walks off you all follow and you ask Danielle
“Hey angel are you okay with this?” she tells you
“I can’t wait but these ram jets worry me,” You say
“Don’t worry they use these on big old stealth jets. I am sure they can lift you plus a large building,” At that point Natalie says to you all
“We have reached the run way,” You look down the hill and see it a long stretch of tarmac from the compounds old airfield use in world war two. You step on and select the ram jets and choose launch. The screen on your visor flashes with big letters saying
“RUN” So you start to run and the exoskeleton reaches unbelievable speeds. You get another command flashing in front of you saying
“JUMP” a command you were used to getting in a plane. But you jump and the jets kick in and launches you into flight. Danielle, Natalie then Steven fly up on to your sides. Danielle has a look of sheer exhilaration on her face while Natalie checks her screen you look at your own and see
“Police scanner” you select it and in your ears comes this female’s voice saying “dispatch to all units. We have an armed robbery in progress and to go to the main bank on wel…” Natalie’s voice cuts in saying
“Perfect chance to test the non lethal weaponry on these don’t you think?” as you slow down you see that the bank is on your screen.

You fly in low and land out side the bank you all walk up to the banks main doors while every one is staring at you. Step through the main doors an armed robber see’s you and fires his shot gun at Danielle it hits her but does nothing she just aims her arm at her attacker and launches a gas bomb at him it lands just in front of him and obscures him from vision for a few seconds and you hear a thud as he falls to the floor. You all walk down a flight of stairs to the security cages to see a masked robber with an RPG he aims at you as he backs off he gets to the end of the corridor and launches the grenade at you hitting Steven square in the chest the smoke clears and the concrete and steel reinforced walls have held up no one is even scratched by the shot but Steven leans forward quickly and launches a net from his tube it pins the man to the wall as he loses control of his bladder and soaks his pants in his terror as four juggernauts walk forward towards him. You turn the corner and there stand eight men with AK47’s they start shooting at you all. You hear the bullets hitting the body work but leaving no damage. You ask Natalie
“Are you bored yet?” she says
“Yeah shall stop them or just let them run out of rounds?” you say
“Lets raise the temperature a bit,” At that you choose your flame throwers and launch them over the men’s heads. They drop their rifles and run off when you stop Natalie launches a stun grenade and they all hit the floor.

You close in on the main vault and knock out the two armed assailants with gas. You step into the vault to see a terrified clerk opening all the boxes with a gun to his head. The gun man looks over at you and starts to fire at you. You walk up to him as the shots hit you and fall to the ground. You grab him and push him against the wall you lift your arm and he loses all his bodily control as he thinks he will die but you spray a knockout gas at him and let his unconscious body fall to the floor. As you turn around the terrified clerk asks you who you are. Danielle says
“We are the fallen angels. Do not fear us for we shall not hurt you,” At that you all walk out as you reach the lobby. The police burst in and aim at you. You say
“We are not the robbers the robbers are all contained down stairs” they yell don’t move. So Natalie takes a step forwards. Saying
“We will not harm an innocent. We are the fallen angels here to protect the earth,” The police were so stunned by that comment they let you all leave you step out side and see the road is clear and is long enough for you to take off. As you run towards a crowd at high speeds they start to scream but you launch over there heads and all of you decide to do something to impress them. So you spin around with a trail of golden smoke and dive towards the ground pulling out just before crashing.

When you get back to the lab. Natalie says
“That was very fun wasn’t it?” as you all relax after it in Natalie’s private office and watch the television for mention of your help today. The first article of the news was police about the robbery and they mention you too. They have no idea who the four inside those machines are and why they call them selves ‘the fallen angels’ and where they got those machines from the police will investigate into these mysterious four people and there machines. Danielle is worried
“Will they find us?” Natalie said
“Not a chance my employer is going to do a cover up,”
“Who is your employer?” you enquire.
“Funnily enough it is your former employer Damien,”
“The British Army want exoskeletons!” you exclaim
“The wars will be fought with unstoppable solders they will never end! These must not go to any army! No matter how much they pay. It will destroy the earth if an entire army was set loose in these!”
“They won’t Damien don’t worry these are ours. The army won’t have these or these,” she flicks on the CCTV monitor and there stand four giant robots.
“Each one takes you and your B.A.R.E. they are much stronger they have vectored thrust and can lift the empire state building into flight they also have rockets for travel into space they have a resistance of over 20.000 atmospheres they are water travel enabled there is nowhere we can’t go with these fuckers. Shall we try them out?” before you can answer the news caster says
“News just in there is an earthquake in San Francisco! The quake measured 10.5 on the Richter scale which over shadows even the 1906 quake 8.25…”
“Looks like they will get a field test,” Says Natalie. Climbing into your B.A.R.E. and get into the exo suit and prepare to launch for San Francisco. You see more options have opened up for you including rockets and water jets plus one you hope never to use
“Self destruct”. You launch vertically into the air and fly straight for San Francisco. When you get there you see scenes of devastation as a double decked motorway that collapsed in the last major earthquake is crushing people in their cars you rush over and lift the fallen part off of the cars beneath you get out of the exo suit and rush to free people from the cars as you get to one car the person inside is hysterical with horror as you get there you see why. The person sitting next to her has had there head cleaved off by some shrapnel! You tear off the cars roof and look to see if she is trapped she is so you break away the parts blocking her and lift her out you put her down and run to the next car to see that both the people are dead you check car after car and most of the people are dead but a few are alive and some are walking around helping those they can while others wander aimlessly. You go up to one person trying to open a car door to get to the people you ask him
“You want to help don’t you?” he says
“Yes. I am a police officer I am off duty though,”
“Well you’re on duty now mate. Can you get all those wandering off here they are doing more harm than this fucking quake!”
“Will do,” He runs over to the nearest man who just climbed over a pole stuck in a man’s stomach looking for a way out he is sent to a nearby service stair well on a column which was still intact. As you got to the man with the pole in his stomach, paramedics run up and ask if you can break the pole without disrupting it. You oblige using a laser to cut the pole out they get him free and say that they have to stay to help but can you get him to the helicopter you decide to fly him there your self you have enough room in your exo suit for some casualties you say to the paramedics
“I have enough room in my larger robot for some casualties so get them ready I can take them,” They say that the helicopter is better equipped. But as they say that the helicopter takes off. They agree and 2 minutes the space is filled with causalities and you take off you warn an unaffected hospital that you have 10 casualties from the quake and that need serious treatment.

After eight days of serious rescue and emergency you are all cheered as heroes as you fly home. In serious need of some sleep and a hot bath you climb out of your B.A.R.E. and run a bath as it is running Danielle walks in and kisses you saying
“After all those people who lost their loved ones I am so happy we weren’t in need of rescuing, especially you. If I lost you I would just die from a broken heart,”
“Don’t worry I don’t plan on leaving you at all angel,” You say to her
“listen we need to rest you never know when the next time we are needed will be” you both get in the bath and with in ten minutes you are both asleep, cuddled together with expressions of sheer relaxation on your faces. When you wake up you have to get home. Knowing life has to continue even though you are a fallen angel you aren’t there yet and need to work so you can eat. When you step through the door Mark launches at you asking where you have been the past week. You say
“Mark. Sit down. I have to tell you something,” He says
“Oh fuck. You’re one of those people in side the machines from San Francisco!” “Hey. You’re not such a dip shit after all,” You exclaim “HOLY SHIT. YOU ARE A FALLEN ANGEL!” he yells.
“You HAVE to tell me where you got that robot…”
“It’s called an exoskeleton. And I don’t have to tell you anything! Get it!”
“Okay. You got them off Natalie didn’t you?”
“I am never going to tell you,” Is all you say when you turn on the television you see that the main piece of news is your actions in San Francisco. The Americans want to give all of you medals for your services in the disaster scene. Mark asks if he can tell anyone Danielle tells him not to speak write or leave any trace of our involvement.

The following days are quite and nothing that needs your involvement happens. But then. Sat watching the news Natalie calls you.
“Damien we have a volcano that has just erupted on the Canary Islands! Get to the lab quick. You get Danielle from here office and rush down to the lab. When you get there you grab your cybernetic neural interface suits and get in them as fast as you can. Once ready you climb into B.A.R.E and prepare to take off. Natalie tells you that you will be travelling through space to stop any interruptions by aircraft trying to follow us. You have all ways wanted to go into space anyway. Stepping out into the dazzling sun light you watch as Natalie launches in to the air with a huge rocket flare from her back. You run and jump starting the rocket in mid jump and feel the pressure building up around you as you climb at an unbelievable rate. The sky around you starts going dark even though it is the middle of the day. You have reached ideal orbit and shut off your engine “we will be up here for two minutes then we will be in the prime position to re-enter over the islands ready to help,” You have no idea how you will help. The lava will be channelled away by a series of channels that lead to the sea but they will be over whelmed. Then it hits you the volcano has a part of land uninhabited so you will some how channel all the pressure there. You get a flashing warning up on screen. Re-entry in ten seconds. Prepare to fire rockets. You tell all the others the plan as you come plummeting through the atmosphere but you lose contact for a few minutes as the outside gets too hot for radio signals but when you get through the outer layers you start to cool down and the screen in front says switch to jet engines in five, four, three, two, one and switch to jets now. You stop the rockets and at this point you are just falling from space but the jets immediately fire and you fly in at amazing speeds you slowly pull out of your dive and have a gentle flight towards Mount Tidie and the giant plume of black smoke billowing from it. As you come in you land softly on the island. Natalie and Steven fly to the mouth of the volcano and inspect the situation whether they have to evacuate or continue with your plan and vent the pressure on the side. They get back and confirm it you are venting but all of it has to be done with great care because you could just as easily destroy the island. Natalie says
“I and Steven will block off the main vent. While you two tunnel a wide vent at a slight angle down to the blockage we will place a beacon on the blockage just go about eight feet short of the signal and you should be below the blockage when you surface. The blockage is placed at a point where the magma hasn’t reached so it is safe to tunnel into the main vent,”
“What if the magma has reached the blockage when we break through?” you ask “if the magma has reached the blockage it is a matter of minutes until it bursts so you would be washed in magma. Don’t worry though your exo suits can take extreme heats and it will reach a nice toasty thirty degrees Celsius,”
“Shall we begin?” Danielle asks
“Might as well” Natalie says.

Waiting on the side of the volcano for the go ahead you stair at the towering cloud of black sooty smoke. In those moments of silence staring up you try to comprehend the enormous tasks you may face in the not so distant future. The thoughts of it fill your head and then you hear Natalie’s voice far off saying
“It’s done. Start tunnelling now,” It pulls you back to earth as you set off into the air with a blast from your rocket. You select the T.B.M. and start to tunnel towards the base of the blockage.
“You have twenty minutes before the magma reaches the blockage and five minutes after that the blockage will be burst away. Good luck you two,” Says Natalie. Fifteen minutes later and you are starting to worry you have five minutes to go before the critical minutes where you will have to swim out the twenty foot wide tunnel. Eight minutes have passed and you have just broken through with only three minutes to spare. You are completely surrounded by magma as you make your laborious way through the molten rock blindly swimming your way out you break through the surface of the magma and crawl out looking around for Danielle. You can’t see her anywhere you yell for her.
“DANIELLE! WHERE ARE YOU!?” then a hand comes through the smoke and pulls you out then Danielle’s voice comes floating into your ears
“You took your time didn’t you I have been here for what seems like ages! You worried me,”
“I am so sorry I worried you I thought you would be right next to me,” You can’t help but smile on hearing her voice as you go to take off you see your entire exo suit is glowing bright red and your engines won’t start. “Your exo suit is over heated. Fancy a swim?” Natalie says
“You say “I have just had a swim but might as well go for another,”

Walking down to the waters edge on a deserted black sand beach your foot steps are left as glass. You are melting the sand and it leaves liquid glass. As you step into the water you see the steam rise and hear the hiss of boiling water. But as the top of your exo suit is submerged it stops the water is crystalline and you can see for miles. But the further out you go the darker it gets harder to see so you turn on the high beams and the most amazing sight is right in front of you. Giant fishes swimming right up to you having a quick look at you then swimming off at high speeds. The untouched world unfolding out in front of you untouched by human hands looking just as it is supposed to just amazes you. Then the peace is ruined by a flashing sign on your screen
“Rockets now operational” you tell the others your rockets are back online when a different voice comes through your ear piece.
“Identify your selves or we will fire!” it commands you all. You ask Natalie if you should reply or if you should bolt. She tells you to prepare your amphibious rockets. So you do and hear it get ready when the voice comes through again
“IDENTIFY YOUR SELVES OR WE WILL FIRE!” just as he finishes you all fire your rockets and launch out of the ocean. You hear a high pitched alarm and realise “THEY HAVE A LOCK ON US! FULL THROTTLE!” as you push the rocket to its limits the beeping stops and the sky goes dark as you leave the atmosphere
“Shut off your rockets we are in ideal orbit” Natalie tells you all.
“That was close they were ready to fire a missile at us we would have been able to take it yes but I want a peaceful resolution to these things and firing a missile is a very aggressive action,” She tells you all
“But if you want to keep these things peaceful a reply would have stopped it?” Danielle asks
“We have to keep who we are secret. Thankfully they will take this as a UFO sighting and won’t say anything more,” Natalie informs her.
“We may have to be up here for a while they will be watching the skies for signs of us,”
“Doesn’t bother me. You remember my childhood dream don’t you Natalie. To go into space,”
“Yeah I do actually I remember a lot from when we were younger,” At that she shuts up you don’t go any further into that subject knowing what she meant.

When she was fifteen you were thirteen and you had been going out for nearly three years when she asked you if you loved her. At that age you only see love as a word but you knew it meant more than that. You said you truly love her and that you never want these times to end. Sadly they did and you two broke up but you stayed good friends and to this day you still hold some of those feelings and so does Natalie. It was your first love and you will all ways love each other even though you are both married. You will never forget those years and neither will Natalie.

“Time for us to re-enter we are at the prime point so we can fly into the compound but we have to be fast so they think it is a meteorite and ignore it,”

As you walk into the hangar and climb out of your exo suit you see it is a bit burnt by the lava but when you mention this to Natalie she tells you not to worry it is only cosmetic damage and it will be cleaned later by her cleaners but if you are worried she will run a diagnostics on it for peace of mind. When you see that all is good apart from some cosmetic damage which a sponge will fix you walk to your car where Danielle is waiting for you. But as you go to step in Steven sprints over to you and tells you to get back into your suits. As you walk over to Natalie you see her eyes look at your chest. From your army days you still like to work out and have a well toned body. Natalie tells you that there is an oil rig fire on the North Sea and you can all help. As you go to climb in to your suit Danielle pulls you back and says
“When we were up in space it sounded like you two have a history. Did you?” You tell her about your relationship with Natalie and that all though you are with her you still have feelings for Natalie because she was your first love but your love for Danielle is better than your love for Natalie. Shocked by what you just told her. Her jaw drops but you gently close it and kiss her. As you get into your exoskeletons Natalie asks if you are ready to go. She also asks over a private intercom what Danielle wanted to know. You just tell her it is in the past and start to walk out and take flight as you get near the oil rig you see it isn’t on fire at all but instead it is occupied by the Army as you get near they tell you to land or they will kill the workers. Not wanting to harm innocents you land they tell you to show your selves when you land but you refuse they cock a rifle but the rifle and all munitions are pulled off the soldiers by Steven with an electro magnet he then drops all the weapons in the sea.
“Now we are on even terms” says Danielle to the main officer. But all of a sudden you recognise him. Lieutenant Colt or as you knew him Captain Colt was all ways an ambitious little brown nosed Rupert. Obviously he kissed all the right arses because he was a commanding officer.
“We dictate the meeting now” says Natalie
“Let the workers go,” Lieutenant Colt says
“We still have a trick up our sleeves. If I radio in the RAF will bomb this platform killing you all!”
“You all ways were an ambitious little shit weren’t you Colty. If a bomb dropped right on me I wouldn’t even be scratched but you would be killed straight off!” unnerved by the fact you know his name he goes to call the strike but then he pauses and then says
“Hell boy,” A young soldier next to him asks what he said he just says “nothing…nothing,” He then looks over to you and says will you come for a private talk with me Hellfire?”
“Sure I will come,” Danielle asks you to be careful but you know he can’t do anything to hurt the others. When you get away from them all he says to you. “So Damien Hellfer I see you have been busy. I just want you to know that I won’t take this further than it is because my seniors have seen how you helped out in recent disasters. But when out there I will try to find out who you are just tell your friends not too worry I won’t do anything drastic,”
“I understand perfectly Colty” you reply
“Oh by the way Hell. Why are you called ‘the fallen angels’?”
“If I told you. You wouldn’t believe me any way,” As you walked back to your exo suit all the solders gave you a cautious look when you got back in your exo suit Danielle asked you what you spoke about. You told the others on a secure connection about the talk and that they won’t take any information now they know a former solder is in the operation that we won’t go to terrorism but will make it look like that for all the foot solders here. We can go in five minutes,” Just at that second a warning flashed on screen saying a large fire had started in the Scottish high lands and is out of control you say
“Sorry Colty. We have to go!” you all drop into the water and rush to the fire filling several water tanks on the way. When you get there you spot a small rough stone cottage where a man is trapped by approaching flames you fly high into the air and release your tanks of water as a fine but engulfing mist that falls and extinguishes the flames within seconds of landing. When you land you go and see if the man in the cottage is okay. When you knock gently on the door he just tells you to fuck off. Not wanting to bother with a bitter Scots man you leave him to his own devices and leave the area for home base. When you get there you decide for rapid response to stay in your neural interface suit most of the time and get ready for a long and boring day at work. What a life you lead you rush from the office into a juggernaut and help in a variety of disasters just like a super hero.

That night you have another wonderful dream full of more shimmering gold’s and dazzling whites. The very same voice booms out to you it says to you
“in the time ahead thee will have the abilities of angels in the quest for ascension,” When you wake up and think of the dream you stand up and walk over to your window and feel the morning sunlight on your body you get dressed and walk down the stairs grab a cup of coffee and watch some television not bothered with the news knowing that Natalie will contact you in an emergency. You watch your old favourite Tom and Jerry. When Mark comes down he laughs at what your watching saying it is for little kids and is rubbish you say
“There is nothing wrong with Tom and Jerry and a classic can be watched by all” he can’t be bothered arguing with you and gets something to eat. When Danielle comes down she sees what you’re watching and curls up next to you. You go to get some food from the kitchen and as you walk off Danielle says
“You’re not limping Damien! What’s happened to your limp?”
“No idea. I didn’t even notice my limp was gone!” you say.
“Do you think it has to do with us being fallen angels?” “It might,” You say thinking of what the voice in your dream said and Danielle suddenly says “in the time ahead thee will have the abilities of angels in the quest for ascension. An angel won’t limp so you won’t limp,” A connection has been forged between you and Danielle so you share each others thoughts and ideas. A connection of an angelic origin binding you together. Then other thoughts come into your head neither yours nor Danielle’s but Natalie’s and Steven’s thoughts. You also start to sense the balance for the earth settling for a while and all the disasters stopping for a few weeks and all thieves are too scared of meeting the juggernauts so you continue your life as before.

Eight weeks have passed and the balance is shifting and a disaster looms sensing this all the fallen angels stay alert and ready to get to the lab at any sign of a disaster. When it hits early in the morning about 3:00 am you and Danielle sit bolt up right out of breath and clammy feeling the pain in Sri Lanka as a tsunami taller and stronger than the Boxing Day tsunami hits the coast tearing every thing apart in its path of utter chaos. You jump out of bed and quickly get dressed and rush down the deserted roads at 100mph. when you get to the lab you see that Natalie and Steven are ready and waiting for you.

When you climb in to the exoskeletons all the systems start up and Natalie taps in to one of CNN’s satellites when you see the destruction caused by it. Entire hotels swept away by the gargantuan wave the death toll is thought to be in it hundred thousands already and that is from the initial impact many more are expected as the wave tears through its course. Climbing into the exo suits you feel immense sadness at the loss of life in the disaster as you feel souls departing there bodies. You step out and set off for Sri Lanka.

Flying there you feel the great anguish of those left with out loved ones. As you get to the once opulent coast line and see nothing. All the hotels are gone everything is missing. Not a single tree, human or building. Total devastation is all there is for miles and as you land people come running to you for help some are sporting broken arms while others have blood down there fronts and backs all of them have nothing but the clothes they wear as all of their belongings were swept away with their houses you here shouts from the crowd yelling “I’M ENGLISH!” hoping it will get them out as soon as possible. While you hear the babble of several different languages. You help the rescuers by slowly moving the larger pieces of rubble and take the injured to hospitals further from the disaster scene. As you help erect a tent for the survivors awaiting evacuation you feel rumbling beneath your feet and look out to sea and spot a wave in the distance several kilometres away and extremely tall. You warn the others and think. ”We could evaporate it,” Then you hear Natalie, Danielle and Steven agree with combined flame throwers and heat from your rockets heating the water. Flying over to the wave you are in awe as the behemoth wave towers over you. Then you select flame throwers and retro rockets and aim your arms and legs at the wave. And you feel a sudden jerk as the rockets kick in. your flame throwers are starting to send streams of steam out but your retro rockets are too feeble to work on the wave so you select your orbital rockets and put them on low when they hit the base of the wave the effect is immediate sending huge torrents of steam and slowing the wave down eventually the wave collapses in on itself and storm clouds roll over head and then suddenly rain pours on to you and you rush back to the shore to help the survivors get to shelter.

Your sat at home after five days of intensive rescue efforts and on the news you see that it is the fastest recorded recovery from a disaster of such vastness as the first hotels are beginning to rebuild and trees replanted. The African government are requesting that the fallen angels visit them as soon as possible. Plans to erect a statue of all the fallen angels being erected in the centre of Sri Lanka to honour the heroes of the disaster with rescue workers working around them. In other news the …” Mark turns over and says
“You’ve been very busy haven’t you? Well what else do you expect you told me you joined the army to do good and you were devastated when you had to leave but now look at you the militaries think you are a gift to the earth! Gone from a humble squaddie to a fallen angel saving the world!” you say to
“Mark. Listen I am away for long stretches of time and I have thought why not see if Kristin will move in. I have noticed things are getting serious and if the worst happens she will be there for you for as long as possible. She helped you after mum died didn’t she?” Mark not believing what he is hearing asks
“Are… Are you serious? Let Kristin move in with us,” you reply
“Of course I am. She can be told our secret on the conditions I told you as well she should know why I may go running off for days on end,” Mark quickly gets his phone and says
“Hi angel. Can you come round to mine as soon as possible?... I want to ask you something that I think you will like the sound of. Great! Five minutes. That perfect just like you… I love you too,”

Five minutes later Kristin walks in she is about 5’ 10” with long brunette hair and blonde high lights with startlingly blue eyes a smooth and finely sculptured face she asks
“What did you want to ask me Mark?” when Mark walks over he splutters out “willyoumoveinwime?!” she looks questioningly over to you and you say
“What my little brother so ineptly said is. Will you move in with us?” she stairs completely amazed at you and says.
“You’re joking?!” looking over to Mark he confirms it she screams and runs over to Mark grabs him and kisses him.
“So I take it that you’re completely against the idea?” Danielle says Kristin looks over to her and says
“You must be joking I’d love to move in?” you say
“Good good. There is something you need to know though. Me and Danielle may go away for several days at a time. The reason for that is we are two of the Fallen Angels. You must understand though you can’t pass this information to anyone or even leave indication you know this information. Do I make my self clear Kris?” she replies
“Crystalline,”
“Great lets go and smooth things over with your parents. Then get everything of yours over here,”

After a few weeks you are all settled in with Kristin at college and Danielle in her office talking to her parents over the internet. It is just you and Mark he says “things between me and Kris have been getting very serious and I am thinking of proposing to her,” You aren’t all that shocked by this you had been expecting it for quite some time and in preparation you got some cognac and some expensive champagne in ready so you just say
“Let’s step into my office,”

Sat on your laz-e-boy Mark sat in a large leather office chair you say
“Let’s drink up and discuss your plans,” You pour out the cognac and say
“So how do you plan on proposing to Kris?”
“Well I want it to be special. Something she will never forget. Something big,” You say
“How about a meal. Where you get a call go to get your phone and pull out the ring as you go on to one knee and pop the question?”
“That sounds good,” Mark says
“Do you have a ring Mark?”
“Well. I only came to the decision last night so no. I don’t have the ring yet,” He replies.
“Well if you ever want help buying it just ask,”
“Thanks Hell fire thanks a lot,” He says gratefully
“Hey why don’t you look on the net for a ring,” You suggest
“Sure. Can I use your PC? It’s just Kris might find it in the history,”
“No problem Fire. Don’t bother going in my files they are password protected. I am just going to tell Dani,”

You step into Danielle’s office and say
“Hey Electrical Mark just told me he is going to propose to Kris!”
“Wow that’s great! ... I’m completely speechless,”
“I had been expecting it. But I was still shocked none the less. But it is a nice surprise not like others he has given us,” You say you both tell Danielle’s parents the news too and they are just as delighted as you are by it.

After weeks of preparation you, Danielle and Mark have sorted out a big five coarse meal and at the end Mark will ask Kris the big question. Kris has invited her parents and Sarah Mills a close friend of both Kris and Mark. One hour later and you have eaten through four of the five courses and it is getting near the time Mark will ask. You spot Sarah looking at Mark with a longing look on her face. Sarah is about the same height as Kris but she has a rounded face with long blonde hair and dark almond eyes. You glance into her warm almond eyes and feel a love for Mark and a bond she won’t break and it doesn’t take an expert to realise that Sarah loves Mark but won’t sacrifice her friendship with Kristin. Then you see Mark put his hand in to his pocket to turn the alarm off on his phone and as he puts it back grabs the box with the ring in. he stands up then in front of Kristin goes down on one knee and says
“Kristin Elizabeth McDermott will you give me the greatest honour? The honour of calling you my wife?” Kristin looks shocked and screams
“YES! Of course I will marry you,”

A few months passed since Mark popped the question and the wedding is completely sorted out it is the night of Mark’s stag night and he says he plans on waking up chained to a lamp post with his pants around his ankles. But you think otherwise. He will spend the entire night drinking but and thinking of Kristin.

You wake up and can’t remember a single thing when you realise it is Mark and Kristin’s wedding day today and you have to get ready the girls are at a hotel while you two come out of alcohol induced sleep and get ready. You remember your wedding day as if it were yesterday. A big white wedding in an open field with all of your Para friends there. You were given a military wedding and walked out of the ceremony under an arch way of swords. You also remember doing exactly what Mark is doing vomiting from nerves. He gets into his tuxedo as you get into your parade uniform officially you are still a Para but they don’t use you so you keep your uniform and have been promoted to Captain. You don’t get paid and do other related work. You’re waiting for your limo to arrive in which you will be going to the castle where the wedding is being held. It pulls up and you both climb in.

Stood at the alter next to Mark waiting for Kristin and Danielle to arrive. The sound of gravel crunching as the car pulls up. You hear doors slamming. When the doors open there stands Kristin with her granddad in his old army service mans uniform escorting Kristin in a long, flowing pale pink wedding dress. Mark gasps at her beauty and then Danielle steps in with Sarah and several other friends all in smaller yet just as stunning gowns of pale pink. She steps up to the alter with her face gleaming from tears. As the wedding progresses all the women slowly start to cry as do Mark and you feel your eyes water and chest swell as they both say
“I do,” At the reception you talk to now Kristin Elizabeth Hellfer’s granddad and hear he fought during world war two and seeing you’re a military man your self he asks which regiment are you in and you say
“I took after my granddad and joined the Cheshire regiment,”
“That’s my old regiment too!” he replies.

Sat in your living room watching television with Danielle cuddled up with you and Mark and Kris in Majorca for their honeymoon you feel the balance shift again towards disaster and you now feel where it is going to happen. An earthquake will hit Majorca! Where Mark and Kris are! You look into Danielle’s eyes and realise she knows what is going to happen. You get up and grab your phone calling Mark it rings and rings then
“Hello? Who’s this?” he asks
“Mark it’s me Damien. Listen get all your stuff packed up and get to the airport,” ”Why do you want me to do that?” he asks you say
“There is going to be an earthquake!”
“Okay I will get packed up and me and Kris will be at the airport in a few minutes,” He says at that he hangs up. You and Danielle set off for the lab.

When you get there you see Natalie putting the finishing touches on a new attachment for the exo suits. Basically a jumbo jet with no engines with one on each wing you can carry thousands of people and casualties with a second plane next to her she stands up and says
“Done. Ah I was expecting you two. I knew you both felt what me and Steven felt. And I thought these will be useful… what’s up?” You both look very stressed and Danielle says
“Mark and Kris are in Majorca for their honeymoon. We have warned them but it won’t stop us worrying,” Just then you feel the very earth beneath Majorca shift,” “It has just begun,”

Hoisting the giant planes you set off having to run and launch using your ram jets. Coming up to Majorca you see a perfectly clear beach to land on. And as you touch down and stop. You tell the others you’re going to the airport and Danielle insists on joining you so you hoist the plane again and take off heading for the airport. Once on the ground the crowds rush forth. You hear a familiar voice over the crowds indistinct shouting you climb out of the exo suit and open the doors to the plane a set of stairs come down and everyone climbs in and the last ones in have Mark and Kristin carrying huge bags with them you say
“Allow me,” Taking the bags and placing them over some seats they both gratefully sit down as you get back under the wing and set off. You see Natalie and Steven set off as well rocketing away to Manchester airport.

After spending several days moving rubble and survivors of Majorca’s worst ever natural disaster you all set off for home. Cheered off as heroes thankful of all the help you have done in shifting large amounts of injured and rubble and doing the gruesome task of moving the dead from the scene you get home and are completely wasted. You call Mark and Kris to come and pick you up and drive you home. When they arrive Kris runs over grabs you and thanks you kissing you. Completely shocked by that you just say
“No problem Kris,” She hugs and kisses Dani as well Mark comes up and pulls you in to a quick hug saying
“Cheers mate,” He goes over to Dani and says
“Electrical I owe you one now,” And pulls her into a hug too.

After a few days you were back to your normal self and feel no impending disasters. So you afford your self some quality time with your very own angel. Holding her close lay in bed you softly whisper in her ear
“I love you with all my heart angel. I would do anything to keep you safe,” She turns and faces you smiling and says “I love you just as much and will do all I can too keep you safe too,” She gets closer and with a passion you never knew she had kissed you. You return the kiss with more passion you never knew you had she whispers softly looking into your eyes
“I want you now!”

It is 6:00 am and you and Danielle are driving to a near by over looking point of the entire city you pull up and turn off the engine. Usually Danielle isn’t awake at this time but neither of you slept to busy with other things. You say to her. This is the time of day I truly love there are few people up and the sky has some of the most amazing hues in it and to make it perfect you are here to share it with me. You just sit there for two hours cuddled up in the car watching the sun rise over the city. Your best ideas have all ways come at this time of day and a stroke of brilliance hits you. Write down your story and publish it once it is all over and give as much as possible to charity. Danielle looks into your eyes and says
“Go for it babe,”

Sat in your office typing out your story. Something in the corner of your eye draws your attention to the CCTV monitors and see two men in balaclavas stood at your office door with Dani, Kris and Mark in the office with four men standing over them all dressed in army fatigues and wearing leather gloves. You decide that you will have to fight them off and hopefully subdue them you pull down your two Katanas and for effect put on your blade two coat with one sword in each hand you slowly creep up the stairs and stand at the door you hear the two men talking saying
“They have to have a safe in here it is the only door with extra security measures. You think the brunette bitch can get us in?”
“With her life on the line yes she will,” You realise who they are talking about and bust the door open knocking the men out cold. After searching the men you find a fighting knife on each guy two hand guns with spare ammo and some pepper spray. You take the pepper spray and leave the other gear in your office so they can’t get it. You then drag them to your living room and go to the attic. Stood at the door you listen in and the men are saying
“If you move we will kill you all,” Your army training tells you to expect them to be alert but you open the door slightly and see they all have their backs to you. Slowly you open the door and sign for them to ignore you. Sneaking up on the nearest heavy you hear him say
“God what is taking them so long. They must know where the safe is…” he turned around and saw you. Reacting to the situation you dive at him and put a sword to his throat. You then tell the others to remove all their weapons or the guy your holding dies they all hurry removing the knives the gun and all the ammo and finally the pepper spray you then get Dani, Kris and Mark to check they have all their weapons in front of them you then tell them to line up facing the wall as the police come. Then you remembered the two guys down stairs and tell Mark to get them but just as he goes to set off they burst through the doors Mark reacts as quickly as you dives on one man knocks him out then the second guy just as quickly. As the police arrive and arrest the men you put away your swords and remove your coat and put them all back on display when Dani walks over to you she is crying and says
“I was so scared I thought they had got you all ready. I…I thought you were d…d…dead,” You pull her close hug her and say
“Don’t worry angel I am okay you are okay Kris is okay and Mark is okay. The thieves are locked up and all is good.” You pull her closer still and softly kiss her.

After the trouble with the thieves Danielle is unwilling to stay in on her own so you take even more time off work and stay in with her. She rests on the couch in your office as you work on your story. Every now and then she will drift off and sit bolt up right sweating having just had a nightmare about the robbery. So each time you go over and pull her close saying
“Its okay angel its okay you are safe I won’t let anyone hurt you,” She would look up looking so fragile and innocent and just keeps close to you. Choosing the more important one to you. You save your story and carry Danielle up to your room and lie in bed with her getting as close as possible. She lifts her head up and looks at you comes up and kisses you and you whisper in her ear
“I will all ways be here for you. I love you so much,” Slowly you both went to sleep and Danielle had no nightmare of the robbers.

You wake up and look around to see Dani and she isn’t there you stand up and go to the window and see that it is pitch black. You think about what woke you up as you turn round you see a light from the bathroom door. As you walk towards it you hear Mark and Kris and know Dani is in the bath room when you get there you open the door to see Danielle with a razor hovering over her arm tears streaming down her face she looks over to you and in her most feeble voice ever she says
“Please help me Damien. Please stop me,” You run over and grab her into a hug only the one she loves can give to her holding her close you here the razor drop to the floor. You guide a silently crying Danielle to the kitchen and quietly pour her a drink being very British and having a cup of tea. She huddles up and sits on your lap slowly crying and you say
“It is all over now. They are locked up they can’t hurt you or anyone else,” You lie there slowly stroking her hair feeling drowsy with her fragrance wafting up your nose. She falls asleep on your chest and you gently carry her back to bed holding her close you slowly drift off to sleep.

You wake up with your arms still wrapped around her. She is still sleeping looking completely relaxed in your arms knowing she is safe. Lying there waiting for your sleeping angel to rise you think about what if you lost her. What would you do? And straight away you know the answer. You would lose the will to live and slowly waste away.

It is the trial of the attempted robbers and you are going to attend and watch as they are charged with the crimes. The judge says
“You six callous men broke into the house of a respectable former Para who you knew to have a successful company. You gained entry and took three of the four residents and tied them up but were then subdued by the fourth. You caused great mental distress to the people involved. Because of this I find you all guilty and I sentence you to eight years imprisonment each,” As they are taken away Danielle yells
“Wait!” to the guards. She walks up and says
“You six men are truly despicable and will harm innocents to gain for your self yet I find my self forgiving you all for what you did!”

As you walk out Danielle says
“That felt good,” You say
“I thought you were going to hit them,”
“I wouldn’t do that. That would be a waste of energy I could use with you in things like this,” She pulls you in close and kisses you passionately you return the kiss and pull her closer.
“What a much better use of energy,” You say and kiss Danielle again.

You’re lying in bed one night and get a dream of shimmering gold’s and purest whites. Then a voice booms out
“Judgement draws nigh. Thine actions in the next event decide whether the earth exists in perfect harmony till the next millennia or existing in a fate far worse than thee could ever know,” A barren landscape filled with thousands of unusual creature’s flashes before your eyes. You sit bolt up right and look round to see Danielle is bolt up right too. A quick look in to her deep hazelnut eyes tells you she had the dream too.

That morning you sit there with your morning coffee and think about the dream. Mark and Kris are still in bed and Danielle is having a shower before work when you feel it. A huge shift in the balance that had remained stable for over four months now. The shift occurred in the Scottish highlands where something is ready to drill down. You run into the bath room and Danielle steps out of the shower and comes up to you and says “you felt it too,” With a quick nod she comes in close and kisses you holding her close you feel her love pouring into you from her not wanting this moment to stop you hold her around her bare waist and kiss her with all the love and passion you have and slowly pull away and guide her to the bed room to prepare. As she dries her self off you get your clothes off and go to grab the neural interface suit when Danielle grabs you again. You turn around and kiss her deeply again and feel her come in closer to you holding her waist she slowly gets even closer and moans slightly then a blast from the imbalance brings you down to earth and you only just feel her surrounding a part of you. You both ignore the blast for five minutes as Danielle lies down on the bed waiting for you. You lie down on top of her and slide in hearing her moan in pleasure.

Ten minutes later you are both going down the motorway with smiles on your faces. You pull up to Natalie’s lab and run to your changing area where you dump all your normal clothes. Climbing into your B.A.R.E. you hear Natalie do her best school head mistress voice saying
“You’re both late. What took you?” you smile and say
“Just a bit of toing and froing,”

Flying towards the highlands Danielle’s voice fills your ears
“I love you so much Damien earlier was like heaven,” You reply
“Any time a see you it feels like heaven to me,”
“You are so sweet Damien. It is one of the many reasons I love you,” She says. You see on screen a flash saying “LAND” as you land you see the same old hermit as before standing in front of an unusual TBM yelling in a very distinct London accent saying
“Return my daughter or I will destroy England!” one look in to his eyes and his past plays before your eyes.

You think that you will have to kill him but then remember one of your dreams where the voice said
“In the time ahead thee will have the abilities of angels in the quest for ascension,” An angel should be able to revive the dead you think then all of a sudden the voice from the dreams booms out in your heads saying
“You can return departed spirits to their empty temples. Thy need the empty temple of thine spirit and bring them back to the living,” You say to David
“Wait here and we will return your daughter to you!” you all rush to where you feel her body is and see that people are exhuming it. You land and say
“we need the body of Maria Edge,” They don’t look at all bothered by the request in fact they have vacant looks on their faces as they hand over the coffin with a brass name plate saying “Maria Edge 1980-1999” you fly back to David and place the coffin in front of him you open it up expecting a dried up husk but instead you see a tall blonde haired girl with pale skin and glassy finger nails looking asleep instead of dead you hear David sob at the sight of his dead daughter and you search for the soul of his daughter in both heaven and hell. Till you find her in hell with all those who were killed by another human and send her to her empty body. You see a shapeless white mist seeping out of the ground and flowing to the empty body. With a sudden flash of light all the colour returns to the once pale body and she slowly sits up. Looking rather confused at being in a coffin she says
“Dad. Why… why am I in a coffin?” she slowly gets out and walks to her dad who has a look of sheer horror as his previously dead daughter walks towards him. He steps back and suddenly activates the TBM which immediately digs a hole. The rate of it is unbelievable as you get to the edge of the hole it must be half a mile deep already. You hear David say “I…I didn’t mean to start it up and it can’t be stopped if anything touches it after activation it will self destruct! The force of the explosion could destroy half the planet! It can’t be stopped now England is doomed,” You think the blades won’t be rigged up to the touch sensors so if we grab the blades we can destroy it safely in space. So you all set off tunnelling for the base of the TBM and as you wait in a totally dark tunnel you sense it drop through and it falls into your hands. You immediately set off for the surface and as you break free of the ground you start you rockets and with an all mighty lurch you blast in to space and break out of the earth pull. Aiming in to empty space you throw the machine and shoot a rocket at the TBM when it hits it is only one mile from you and the shock waves send you hurtling to the earth. The shock messed your systems up badly and your rockets won’t start it is saying
“TOTAL SYSTEM FAILURE!” and then from the back of Danielle, Steven and Natalie comes a giant pure white angel wings and can feel yours twenty feet from your back to the wing tip and made of the softest purest bright white feathers they slow down your decent and as you start to come through the atmosphere they seem to glow not red but a dazzling gold unlike the exo suit which burns red but the inside of your B.A.R.E. is suddenly illuminated of the same dazzling gold when you get through the atmosphere you slowly descend in front of a shocked David and Maria. Looking at your new angel wings David says
“I see why you called your selves ‘the fallen angels’ you are actually fallen angels!”
“Correction we were fallen angels. Now we are fully fledged angels” Says Steven. At that you all take flight using your wings nothing apart from the movement systems in your exo suit working yet you are going faster than before and land at the compound and Natalie says
“I will get these repaired for next time where we can help more than ever that is if you want to?”
“It is what got us all here so I want to,” Says Steven
“Same here,” You say and then Danielle says
“No doubt I will continue,”

You then think how to hide your wings when you feel them slowly retract in to your back leaving no sign of there existence. You walk over to your car with Danielle next to you both with your hands on each others side as you get to the car you open Danielle’s door and kiss her before she climbs in. you run over to your door and jump over it and set off home after a kiss from your favourite angel.

As you pull up to your house and walk in Mark and Kris are sat cuddled up with each other they look over and Kris asks “So what you done today?” with a quick glance at each other you both say
“Come with us please,” Driving towards the spot you and Danielle watched the sun rise intending on telling them both that you are both true angels then showing them your wings. As you pull up they climb out of their car and Mark asks
“What is so important that you have to show us here?”
“Well it is time you know why we call our selves the ‘fallen angels’. The reason is we were fallen angels,” Danielle says.
“What do you mean were fallen angels? Do… Do you mean you are… full angels?” “Well again you surprise me by showing us you aren’t a thick shit. Yes we are angels now and I think if we wished to we could return to the heavens any time we wanted but I think all of us want to stay here,” You say then Kris comes out of her shock and says
“Why do you want to stay here. This planet is fucked up we are slowly going to kill ourselves at this rate,”
“Well according to our new boss earth will be in perfect peace and harmony till the next millennia when the next fallen angels will find their wings like us,” You say. At that you open up your wings and open them to their fullest and then close them adding ten feet to you both. They both stair in awe of your angelic wings and you both run up to them grabbing them and taking flight with them you hear Mark scream in the exhilarating situation of flying. You slowly hover over the cars some twelve thousand metres up and drop hearing nothing at all over the rushing wind but feeling the fear and adrenaline pumping around Mark you slow down. Slowly dropping down to your cars you let Mark drop and Dani drops Kris they run over to each they and kiss each other then you and Danielle swoop in to each others arms and kiss slowly revolving in the air. You slowly land. When you get home you both run upstairs and continue what you were doing before David Edge so rudely tried to destroy England.

When you finally get to sleep you have another dream of the same shimmering gold’s and purest whites and this time the voice shows it’s source. A black man in long shimmering white robes with long brown hair and a clean shaven face he says to you
“Welcome Damien back to the glory of the heavens I am to believe thee and all the other angels wish to stay on earth and continue thine divine work. For thy tasks thee can stop the disasters’ from taking more lives by putting the lost souls back in their temples. Thee may also give thine family the blessings of the angelic powers nigh to thy own abilities,”

You wake up and feel Danielle pressing up to you. You wrap your arms around her and she wakes up slightly looks in to your eyes and whispers
“I love you babe,” She then kisses you and turns around so she is face to face. Pulling closer to you she whispers
“We should give Mark and Kris the powers,” You agree and wrap your arms around her bare waist she smiles and lets you enter her.

One hour later you both walk down the stairs and see Kris and Mark cuddled up on the couch having a whispered conversation you can feel the joy spreading from them both and as you walk in they say
“We have some excellent news for you too,” You say “We have some for you too. But you go first,” Kris with a smile spreading across her entire face says
“I am pregnant!”
“WOW that is great news!” you both say
“Now Kris, Mark. What would you say if you could be like me and Danielle?” you ask
“I would definitely say yes,” Says Mark and then Kris says
“Me too. Why do you want to know?” “Well me and Damien can make it happen. We can make you angels,”
“Please do it for us,” They plead “Beware this isn’t to be taken lightly because with great power comes an even greater responsibility same with a child but if we do this you can plan and buy now because it won’t be miscarried. So are you sure you want these powers?” They look at each other and they share a moment and both with out looking at you say
“Yes,”
“Right. So we need to get to an untouched place. Just step outside and we will go to the Sahara and bless you both,” You walk in to the garden and holding on to you. All four of you take off and head for the Sahara.

You land and release Mark and Kris then in a flash of light you and Danielle are in long flowing white robes with a golden glow emanating from you. As you start the blessing the words come to you naturally
“We the angels of heaven chosen by the almighty God grant the Mark Hellfer, Kristin Elizabeth Hellfer and your unborn child. The wings of the holy angels of the almighty God,”

“Is… Is it done? Are… Are we … Are we angels?” Mark asks
“It is done. You are angels,” says Danielle just then angel wings spread from their backs and they stair at them in awe. Slowly stretching them out and folding them in. they then slowly stroke them revelling in their softness. You say
“Want to go flying now?”
“Now Damien that is the most pointless question ever asked!” Kris says
“That’s not entirely true. A dying man was asked ‘are you okay mate in a car crash,” You say
“Well in this case it is,” Mark says
“Lets go then,” Danielle says you all take of in a flap of long and graceful wings not disturbing the sand around you and fly home. While flying there is a second flash of light and Mark and Kris are in identical robes. You feel a difference in Danielle but can’t put your finger on it. When you all land and retract your wings the robes seem to go with them and retract with the wings. You feel an uncertainty from Danielle.

After a few days Natalie informs you that she has finished the two new B.A.R.E. exoskeletons and exo suits for Kris and Mark and Danielle comes over to you and says
“Damien. I think I might be pregnant,” You rush over and kiss her saying
“This is great. Do you want to do a test?”
“Some times you astound me with your stupidity babe of coarse I want to do a test,” You both drive to the shop and after ten minutes she steps out of the bath room and hands you the tests. They are both positive. You are going to be a father. Just like your little brother.

You and Mark are relaxing in your office just talking about your futures. Dani and Kris are up stairs in her office talking too. When you come to the decision.
“Mark. I have thought how would you like a new job working alongside me with sky line parachutes? Earning my wage and with all the perks I have,” You ask “Sure I will just hand in my notice at work and will be in the office in a few weeks on my first day,” He says Oh and by the way I have something to show you,” You log on to your computer and pull the microphone towards you. Typing in the URL you type in your password and then say
“I love my angel” in to the microphone then a window opens saying
“Please wait while the second angel logs on,” Then the screen changes and the camera at Natalie’s lab flickers in to life and there stands Natalie in front of a pair of big steel doors she says
“Hi Damien hi Danielle hi Mark Hi Kris. I have something to show you all,” She types in her access code and says
“Project Fallen Angels clearance priority level one,” Then with a load hiss the doors slowly open sliding open to show a large unlit room. Then the first lights flicker on you see an B.A.R.E. stood there with the exo suit behind it then the next three turn on with the same sights Natalie saying the name of each pilot as it gets illuminated then she says
“Now Mark, Kris this is what we are waiting to show you,” Two sets of lights flicker on and there stand two new B.A.R.E. with the exo suit towering over them she then says
“the two new ‘fallen angels’ as we sadly will remained named so even though we aren’t bound to the earth any more are you two. You will make an appearance with us then we have all decided to reveal our selves to the public. Now get your lazy arses over here and get accustomed to these babies oh and congratulations Kris and Dani on the good news,” At that the camera shuts off and says
“Thank you for watching,”
“Well lets get going shall we?” you say and you go up stairs. To meet Kris and Dani. You all step out side a look of anticipation on Mark and Kris’ faces when you all take to the air the enjoyable feeling of freedom encapsulates you and fly up to Danielle flying underneath her she looks down and smiles you go up slightly and wrap your arms around her and softly kiss her.

When you see the compound you come in low and gracefully land retracting your wings you step in to the lab and take Kris and Mark to where they can change. When they walk out you notice Mark has a toned body like you and realise that at least two good things came from you the body he has and the powers he holds. “Mark, Kris I introduce you to B.A.R.E. also known as battle and rescue exoskeletons B.A.R.E. These two giants are yours too they are called exo suits and with that attachment on you can go EVERY WHERE. When I say every where I mean just that your brother swam out of a flow of magma in this, Steven took an RPG to the chest in B.A.R.E. and we have all been to space in these and deep under water. So we can go every where. So what are you waiting for stop salivating over it and fucking get in them already!”

Climbing in to your B.A.R.E. you watch as Mark and Kris take some testing steps and realise who easy it is to move in them they immediately start running around and testing the power and the agility of their B.A.R.E. you hear Natalie say
“Right lets go for a test flight. Who knows we may get a chance to test these two in action like our first time. Shall we g…” you all sense the almighty shift and immediately your wings extend and you all take flight starting your ram jets in mid air you withdraw your wings and fly to the centre of the shift and the centre of London where people are running and screaming while the dead litter the streets. Smoke billows from burning shops and the road is destroyed by whatever happened here. People scream and then in the middle of a road an explosion engulfs you in flames and smoke and as you move out of the plume you see more bodies. Mutilated beyond recognition with limbs or heads missing and in the centre of the inferno you sense a terrorist myter. It hits you. This is another terrorist attack. Then with a deafening roar a plane flies into canary wharf causing even more pandemonium. You an Danielle rush to canary wharf intending on keeping it supported and preventing a second September the 11th happening while Natalie and Steven divert all traffic ground and air as Mark and Kris revive the dead. The emergency services arrive and help move all walking wounded to a safe place as the rescue takes place. With yours and Danielle’s exo suits keep canary wharf you revive all the dead and fix the damage as much as possible while people run out you and Danielle go and help Mark and Kris revive the last few and help move the seriously injured to hospitals.

After two days of intense rescue and recovery you all decide it is time the world saw who you are and as you land you climb out of your exo suits and then send your visors down showing just your faces people stair and you all introduce your selves to them and as the whole thing happens cameras flash and people say “they…they just showed us their faces and told us their names!” at that a rather adventurous reporter runs up and asks
“Can I have an interview with you all?” Natalie says
“We will talk to you all for five minutes once we are done here,”

The day you were finished you all sat at tables in your smartest clothes you all sit in a row with a photograph of you all busy in London and one reporter says “where did you get those machines?” Natalie answers saying
“They are called exoskeletons and I can’t tell you where I got them from,” Another shouts
“So what is the relation between you lot?” you say
“We all have past connections. Me and Natalie are old friends as are Natalie and Steven. Me and Mark are brothers. Danielle is my wife Steven is Natalie’s husband and Kris is Mark’s,” another asks the question that is on everyone’s mind “why did you call your selves ‘the fallen angels?” Danielle says
“We were all in someway connected to a fallen angel most of us were the original four at the bank it was me, Steven, Damien and Danielle. Then Mark and Kristin had themselves awoken a few days ago and here is what we are talking about,” You all extend your wings and exude a brilliant golden glow and the small crowd are in awe. You all fly off and leave things to simmer.

You lay your head down on the silken softness of your pillow and drift into a blissful sleep with the dreams which you have had more and more. The same voice tells you
“The world is still in risk judgement may have passed yet it is yet to be at peace. Rest and fight on in the legions of Gods mightiest angels,” You slowly wake up and see in the semi darkness that Danielle is awake too. She looks at you and whispers
“We still need to be ready to help at any moment,” You softly kiss her and hold her body close saying
“I love you so much if I ever lost you I would lose my will to live,” She says
“It is the same for me,” You slowly stand up and look out the window feeling the fresh day start and ask Danielle
“Shall we go for a flight? Get some morning air in us?” she stands up and walks over to you and wraps her arms around your shoulders and says
“I would love that,” you both get dressed and set of flying over untouched woodland and sprawling cities all just rising in the light of a new morning and staring up at the two angels overhead.

At ten you land by your house and your neighbour sees you land and says to you “I truly believe now. When I saw the interviews I thought it was a big lie and it was all faked. But seeing you two land has changed my views. I thought that an angel would never walk the earth but I was wrong I am humbled by the presence of such heavenly creatures.” Dani walks over and says
“We may entertain angels unbeknownst to yourself we aren’t the only angels on this planet. So do not feel humbled in our presence for you your self may be a fallen angel.”

You walk through the doorway and with a rush of pure energy see scenes of devastation and death and in another flash you see an explosion feeling the spirits torn from there bodies as the blast rips their bodies apart. As it ends you both remember the only threat to peace in the world. Global terrorism all the fanatics and fundamentalists who kill not only them selves but countless innocents all in the name of a holy war for Allah, promised a myters death yet their names never get released by the leaders. They have a new bomb bigger than any other they made and it is thermo-nuclear. Countless lives lost in a fruitless war, Millions of pounds worth of damage and inhabitable ground for centuries to come. You rush in and see Kris and Mark sat there with urgent faces and they say both say
“Lets fly,” you all run out the house extend your wings and shoot off to the base.

You close in on the base and dive towards the ground and slow down to land. As you land the door opens and Steven all ready in his neural interface suit tells you to get ready fast. As you climb into the exoskeletons you get an image zooming out from the bomb and see it is at Canary Wharf an explosion there would cripple the world’s economy and send the world in to a recession. You will take the bomb into space to destroy it safely in empty space where none shall bear the brunt making sure you get it further away than the last bomb which knocked your systems out. Natalie says over the intercom
“all thermo-nuclear weapons not only spread radiation but an electro magnetic pulse which will disable all electrical circuitry in its range so we run a big risk doing this we could e killed by the blast or knocked out and be killed on impact with the earth so if one person is hurt help them by grabbing them if you can. These exo suits can be shut off by the blast so launch it and deactivate the suits,”

As you zoom towards Canary Wharf you volunteer to carry the bomb and launch it. You hit the floor running and see the bomb right in front of the building. You pick it up and blast in to the air using the jets and switch to rockets in the air. Climbing up you tell the others to stay back as you destroy the bomb as you fly out in to clear space you throw it but it gets about fifty feet away and in a blinding flash it all goes black.

In the distance you see the flash you were unsure of it. Fearing that Damien could die in the blast. You know death is no worry to you any more but if you lost him you don’t know what you would do. But one thing for sure you would lose your will to live and eventually join him in the heavens. Then you see him going too fast and then as you send a message he won’t answer you rush over and grab him and see he is unconscious or worse. But you feel he is only out cold and not going cold. So you rush back to the base.

You open your eyes on a bed in the base and see Danielle is sat next to you. She sees you are awake and says
“You were hit with the full force of the blast when it was a mere fifty feet away and the force knocked you out and sent you hurtling to the earth. Luckily I caught you and brought you down. Natalie says your exo suit is in a bad state but the hull and visors are intact so you were lucky if they broke then we would be burying you right now… I was so worried Damien I was scared you would die. I love you too much to lose. I know where you would go but I don’t want you to leave me I would be heart broken,” you pull her close and kiss her and say
“Don’t worry I won’t leave you I would not only be dead but upset that I have left you behind. I love you so much,”

One unforeseen problem was solved by the moon the fall out was caught entirely by its dark side where it wall gradually decompose over thousands of years. The story never hit the papers but stories circulated that The Fallen Angels had an accident in space and one was hurt which wasn’t far from the truth but walking into your home your next door neighbour Alisha Nekitsune or Fox as she likes to be called says
“Damien is it true one of the Angels nearly died in space? Who was it? Are they ok?” you say to her
“I was caught in a nuclear blast but as you can see I am ok. A bit stiff but hey a 3000 lbs thermo-nuclear bomb blew up fifty feet fro me so what do you expect. I was knocked out but Dani caught me,” as you walk in she says
“Hope you get better soon Damien,” you shout back
“I will fox don’t worry about me,”

Over the next few days your soreness went away and your exo suit was repaired. The entire thing was in a state with all the electronics fried in the blast all the hydraulics that control movement were lost evaporated so it was a useless husk close to the scrap heap. You asked Natalie if it was possible to replace it she said “I hadn’t thought of replacing it to be honest it might be better because this is a mess just look at this,” she shows you a picture of the exo suits innards it was either burnt melted or just plain gone destroyed by the intense heat. Over the next few days you see a brand new exo suit materialise and marvel in how fast it is coming together. Four days later and the new exo suit is finished and a reinforced hull and visor on all the exo suits looking up at the exo suit another flash of images goes by and this time a familiar face appears. The man wanted for the 9/11 attacks who endorsed and trained young men to commit mass murder. Osama bin laden the last obstacle in the path of peace. You feel where he is a small hidden compound in the mountain ranges hidden by the mountains from the air and clouds from the ground. You can go and capture him and take all the al-Qaeda to a military installation. You look over to Natalie and she nods. You run to get Dani and Steven and know Kris and Mark are setting off right now and will be here in a few seconds. You rush to get ready and kiss Dani as you climb into your B.A.R.E. getting in to the exo suits you run out and launch with Mark and Kris just behind you.

You find the compound and drop in on them. The first to see you shout a call to arms and rush to grab their AK 47’s a standard guerrilla weapon due to its dependability and its simplicity. Then all of a sudden they fire. Mark and Kris having never been shot at before were scared but soon realised it was safe and start to shoot gas canisters out and stun guns from their arms and back mounted tube you decide to let them run out of ammunition as you hear the whoosh of a rocket propelled grenade it hits you square in the chest and blows up in your face. Mark yells
“YOU BAST…” he sees you stood unscathed in the fire and stops his grenade. You are all getting bored and decide the quick way to end this is a stun rocket over the compound so you all prepare the rockets in your tubes and with an almighty roar they take off and hit each other detonating and sending vapours all over you see each man drop to the floor and then you see it. A cave untouched by the vapours and with several unconscious guards in front of it. Then the whoosh of another RPG miss you and hits the side of the mountain you shoot a stun grenade in and walk in getting out of the exo suit and find him. The FBI’s most wanted man with four guards armed to the teeth with 7.62’s and plenty of rockets. You and scoop up all the men and walk out a net is connected to your, Dani’s, Stevens and Kris’ exo suits with all the men on it ready for transport you place the men in and climb in to your exo suit and take off with your load underneath. Then ten minutes of slow flight and there it is a US naval air craft carrier you come in and lower the load gently as about a hundred armed soldiers come out and point their M16’s at them. An officer walks over to you and says
“Thank you the entire earth seems to be indebted to you. You have saved thousands upon thousands of lives and risked your own lives at the same time. I thank you on behalf of a grateful planet,” at that he salutes you and being a soldier you return the salute smartly and crisply and the officer says
“please I ask you all to join me in the Officers mess as a small token of our gratitude,” you ask the others and agree to go to the meal but need to make a quick trip home to get some clothes. You get back and change in to your uniform and Danielle gets in to her silken dress that just accentuates her beauty in a private room as you walk in to the officers mess the CO Vice Admiral Iain McDonald saw you enter and even though you wear only captains tapes he salutes you first which surprises you but return it and enjoy a very nice meal with lobster and veal when you get ready to leave Vice Admiral Iain McDonald says “well captain I think due to your services to the world may make you an equal only to George Washington ranking wise. I received orders from the white house stating upon sighting of you to request you land and have a meal on behalf of the nation but when I saw bin laden it was to the world and inform you all that you are going to receive the highest American rank of general of the armies or a six star general. If you accept it then you will all receive the uniform and the new tapes for the rank,”
“No, I only speak for my self but I don’t want the rank. What I do is for those I help and not for recognition. I want to be remembered as one of very few true heroes. So I will keep my rank,” after you finished all the other angels agreed with you and refused the rank.

That night lay in bed with Dani held in your arms you think
“I could stay in this sweet surrender forever listening to her sleep with blissful dreams wandering if it is me she sees while she dreams her hearts desires I don’t want to drift off to sleep and miss the innocent smile on her beautiful face.” As you lie there the inevitable happens and you drift off to sleep holding Danielle close.

You wake up and feel a difference in the entire day. Everything seems peaceful and a new age has come over the entire planet. You roll over and expect to see Dani but she isn’t there. So you get up and see it is 10:00AM. You get up and get dressed. When you go on the stairs Kris bumps in to you and says
“Wow I am up before you that is a first.” You say
“I didn’t sleep much but before you think of that with your dirty little mind dani slept well. I just lay asleep most of the night,” you go down stairs and see Dani and Mark are sat there talking and when you walk through the door Dani runs up to you and wraps her arms around you and kisses you.

You are all sat down in the living room and just talking when the past of all of you comes up. Steven asks about what you and Natalie were like when you were younger. In the corner of your eye you see Mark sit up a little straighter in his seat. You look him in the eyes and say
“Me and Natalie before she went to MIT were more than just friends. We had been going out for about three years and we just drifted apart even after we split I still had feelings for her because she was my first love. But I meet Dani and I felt more love for her than I did for Natalie and after three years we got married and about a year later Natalie knocked on my door yelling she’s back and here to stay. But enough of my past how did you two meet up?”
“Well our story is very long but I will say it anyway because we have plenty of time. My dad was a vicar who when I was 12 he was killed in a mugging gone wrong. After a few years I tried to escape my life through drugs and a year later I did the thing I hate most. I mugged a guy to get some heroin so I tried quitting and then I met Natalie. She helped me get clean. I nearly fell back into drugs when my mother was killed in a mass car crash that claimed the lives of fourteen people including Damien’s mother. But Natalie helped me and I never even touched drugs but it hit you very hard didn’t it Mark?”
“Yeah it did. I tried taking my life a few times but Kris pulled me out of it. She stayed with me almost the entire time and found me hanging in the bath room once cut me down and took me to the hospital. While I was lay in hospital she hardly left my side and one time while I was coming out of a drug induced sleep I heard Kris and Sarah talking I remember it clearly even though I wasn’t very clear at the time. Sarah said ‘you know I like him too. Don’t you Kris? I think he has feelings for you though and I know you have feelings for him so I will let you be with him. I hope you will be happy together.’ Then Kris said ‘what…how do you know I have feelings for him? I have never told you. I have never told anyone!’ then Sarah said ‘it is obvious to a close friend that you do have feelings! I have seen you admiring him and it is obvious you are more than a friend because you have hardly left him alone and I think that is why he loves you!’ Kris then said ‘he…he…loves me…I…I…I love him too. I know that now I just hope he will get off these anti depressants they have made him withdrawn. If he can just come off them I will be happy.’ It was about a month after that I came off my anti depressants and I asked Kris out. Well I have never looked back on that day. I think I made the right choice and I tried my hardest to come of the medication so Kris would be happy.

That night lay in bed you drift off to sleep and dream of the heavens and hear a gentle voice
“I am the archangel Gabriel. I am here to tell you that you mission is done. The earth is at peace and will remain so for another millennia. It is your choice to stay and live out the rest of your days as an angel on earth?” you open your eyes and see Danielle looking back in to your eyes and you know straight away. You are staying on earth.

As you sit down writing up your story you get a call. You pick it up and say
“Hello?”
An ecstatic Natalie yells down the phone
“DAMIEN! I AM PREGNANT!”
You say back completely surprised at the sudden news and with a bit of a sore ear
“Wow. That is great news just think you are going to give birth to a little angel literally,”
“I know I can’t believe it. Me a mother and my child will be an angel!” she says
“Come over and tell the others!” you suggest she jumps at the offer and hangs up the phone and a minute later you hear a knock on the door mark yells
“I’ll get it,” as you hear the door open a yell rings through the house
“I AM PREGNANT!”
With a smile on your face you get up and walk up stairs and as you open the door Natalie runs at you knocking you into the wall and kisses you. She stands back blushing slightly and you are a bit hot around the collar she quickly mumbles
“Umm I…I umm I…I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry,” she quickly turns around and runs out the house you look over at Steven and run after her. You get out side and see her taking flight so you follow her. She finally lands at her lab and you come in next to her she doesn’t look at you but says
“I never stopped loving you Damien. Even after I married Steven there is always a part of my heart with you in it,” you look at her she has her face down and eyes closed you say
“It is the same for me I still love you but my love for Dani overpowers our love. It isn’t the same because you were my first love and nothing can change that. I guess when we were talking about out pasts last night it just brought up those memories of those times. Let’s go back and celebrate the good news shall we?”
She finally looks at you and you see tears slowly running down her face she says
“It is strange I am happy but I am sad at the same time. Happy to be pregnant but sad I will never be with you again. But I am with Steven and I bet he is worried about me so get off your lazy arse Hell Boy and lets get back to your place,” she unfurls her wings and just as you unfurl yours she loos in to your eyes and says
“I have given you the perfect reason to crack open that crate of Guinness you have Steven loves the stuff and I am sure Mark does too,” with the same sparkle in her eye and her smile lighting up her face she takes flight

Sat at home a pint of Guinness in a frosted glass in hand Steven comes over to you and asked what happened before and you say
“She just got pulled in to the elation of her fantastic news and she just got carried away that is all. Oh and on that note congratulations mate you are going to be a father. Doesn’t it feel good? Now no more mention of before and go help your self to another Guinness,” the truth in your mind was never forget your last kiss with your first love and cherish the future because in both there is some one to love.

Sixteen years later

It has been sixteen years since you realised you are an angel and began the quest for ascension and in those sixteen years you have had two children who despite certain differences they are very normal children and are literally angels. Your oldest a sixteen year old young man called Kie is just a younger version of you with good taste in drinks his favourite being a nice cold Guinness and taking after his mother in being a gentle giant at 6 foot 8 inches he is at first a scary sight but after five minutes with him you find out he is the biggest softy ever and again like you romantic he recently took his long term girlfriend on a candle light meal. Your youngest is a bright and bubbly thirteen year old girl called Sapphire at five foot six inches she is the image of you at thirteen but you had an interest in tanks and the army she has interests in singing and dancing just like Danielle. As soon as they were five years old you told them they are angels and they are not to abuse their powers as just like in the spider man comics you told them ‘with great power comes an even greater responsibility.’ They both are the opposites of you and both popular and Kie even looks out for the smaller people as most bullies take him as a big brainless heavy who will resort to his fists to settle a dispute won’t touch him but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Not saying he can’t take care of himself he comes to the gym with you and is scarily catching up to you and uses his wigs to gain the upper hand in any given situation. He got home once smelling of smoke and Danielle instantly thought he was a smoker until we turned on the television and saw the news reports of a fire they said
“in the blazing inferno the screams of a trapped girl could be heard and fire fighters were unable to enter the building for fear of a collapse and then as if from no where a winged boy flew in the broken flame licked windows and in seconds burst out of the hole in the roof with a six year old girl in his arms he flew down and gently placed her in the arms of a distraught parents and promptly flew away to roaring applause the girl is said to be in perfectly good health as if healed of smoke inhalation by the young winged boy who is believed to be related to the ‘fallen angels from sixteen years ago the parents said in an emotionally today ‘ our little angel is talking of only that mysterious boy saying he just said don’t worry little girl I will get you out and feeling warm not hot as they flew through the flames only warm in that ‘angels’ arms. Where ever you are young man I want to say from the bottom of our hearts thank you we are forever indebted to you’ and on other news a…’ it wasn’t long after that when we got news from the school that Kie had used his wings to gain the advantage in a fight. We had warned the school of his difference to ordinary teenagers and left the choice to tell the school of it or leave them. It was his choice and he told the entire school or rather showed them one dinner. But when we questioned him on the fight he told us
“I was just talking to Mat when I saw this guy punch a small boy in the face so I naturally went over to stop him when he turned and punched me in the face so as I fell back my wings came out and I flew up over him and dropped down behind him grabbed him and flew up and I said to him ‘I don’t condone violence but it seems to be one of only two languages you speak the other being fear so I am going to drop you’ so I let go of him well he screamed like a baby even after I grabbed him and I said to him again ‘isn’t nice to be bullied by some one stronger than you does it? If you take up your old ways I will be after you so keep an eye out and your fists away’ so I let him walk away but before he ran off he walked up to the lad and said ‘I am so sorry for hitting you,’ he then looked at me and I felt fear and he ran off. Next thing I know is the head teacher came up to me and took me to her office she then asked what happened and once I told her phoned both you and his parents. That’s all I was stopping a bully. There is nothing up with that is there dad?” you don’t have these types of problems with Sapphire she keeps the fact she is an angel hidden from all but her best friend she has helped the ‘fallen angels’ in an forest fire. One of the last disasters that happened with in years she was eight years old. Mark and Kris have one child same age as Kie but shorter they share views on violence and Ant is likened to a pit bull small but a tough mother fucker with a lean but strong body you never see the two lads with out the final part of an angelic trio called Amber. Amber looks just like her mother Natalie. She helps her mother out in her lab and spends the rest of her time listening to music and talking to her two best friends.

After all the things the fallen angels did it is finally time to bolster your numbers and let the angelic trio join you with their help in the odd disaster that happens. Recently another quake hit San Francisco nearly causing the bridges to collapse again. You only needed to extinguish a few fires and move some of the older more unstable buildings. The chances of another major disaster happening soon though are very remote now you still remain ready to go.

One night you had the dream you hadn’t had in sixteen years. The archangel Gabrielle walked up to you and said
“In a few days you will have to go back into action to save the very planet not from the lord’s handy work but from a mentally misunderstood man and his bomb capable of engulfing the entire planet in its blast and ending all life as we know it. The nine angels who respond to the disaster won’t win the last needs to be included. You will know when you wake where the bomb is,” you open your eyes and sit up in your mind you see a man standing next to a gargantuan bomb in a cavern then it pulls out through a submerged cave entrance in the coast of south France. You look at Dani and get ready when you step out of your room you go straight to Kie’s room and say through the door
“Kie get up we have business to attend to,” he yells
“OK dad I will be right out,” Dani comes over with Sapphire at her side and you say
“Saph you are going to get your B.A.R.E. now and use it straight away!”
You all walk out the front door and take flight. A minute later you land in the compound and rush to the changing area guiding Sapphire in to her changing area. Once you are changed you rush Sapphire to her B.A.R.E. and climb in to yours. You see Sapphire take a few testing steps and then run out the door in the exo suit. You run out and launch in to the air at the sight of water you dive straight in.
You locate the cave and swim straight in and as you immerge in a huge chamber a majority of which is taken up by an almighty bomb. You see a man run at you with a gun in his hands Anthony grabs him and takes him out of the caves gigantic mouth. On his return you all stand around the bomb and with a huge effort you all lift it and slowly set off. You get in the water and launch your amphibious rockets to get you out of the water and once over the surface you see the man unconscious on the floor. Your rockets are straining to lift you all and the load but as it gets darker outside the rockets start to ease a bit as you get past the moon. Something catches your eye and see that the bomb is primed you yell into the radio
“GET RID OF THE BOMB IT IS READY TO BLOW!”
As you through it there is a sudden flash of light and it all goes dark.

The prime minister comes on screen and says
“It is with a heavy heart that I tell you this. All of the fallen angels have regretfully perished saving the planet from destruction. They were all caught in a blast from a bomb that was immense enough to destroy our very planet. The fallen angels were caught in the blast and were hurtled to the surface at speeds over four hundred thousand miles per hour. The youngest was sadly a mere thirteen year old one Sapphire Hellfer. The son of Damien and Danielle Hellfer who were both involved in the blast along with her brother sixteen year old Kie. Thirty eight year old Damien and thirty six year old Danielle hellfer who were in charge of sky line parachutes along side Mark hellfer aged thirty three with his wife Kristin Elisabeth Hellfer who were both killed in the blast as well. All the angels had children who regretfully were killed when the bomb blew the son and daughter of Damien and Danielle Hellfer thirteen year old Sapphire and sixteen year old Kie along with Anthony Hellfer their cousin and Amber Howard daughter of advanced cybernetics and weapon systems integration the suspected creator of the machines they used and her husband Steven Joseph Howard who were sadly killed as well in this tragedy. Our grief can not be as much as the families of those involved. The man who created the bomb that killed ten people is yet to be known and will face ten counts of murder. The entire planet is in mourning of a loss of heroes chosen by God and who as we speak are returned to His side. I declare the United Kingdom in a state of Mourning and all the angels will receive a state funeral. We will never see the likes of such heroes again,”

You slowly and groggily open your eyes and see the ground coming closer. You know the end is near for you and are not scared because you know where you are going. As you hit the ground there is a rush of whites and gold and you are back. Back in the glory of the heavens. You look around and see all the others are with you. Danielle rushes up and kisses you. You look at her and see her body is covered in blood as are you and all the others. Then the light around you encapsulates you and as it recedes you see you are all in magnificent golden and purest white robes and a soft golden glow emanating from you. Then the archangel Gabrielle walks up and says
“Welcome my friends to heaven. As you have guessed you earthly bodies have been destroyed when they hit the earth. Do not weep over them as you are now where you truly belong. You may return for short times at will but you are only in spirit form and must return after a few days. Now enough talk from me go and do what you wish!”

The day is windy and dark as if the heavens are sad. It is the state funeral of all the angels killed in the blast. A magnificent golden angel will mark their graves. The dignitaries line up. Presidents and officers. One old navy officer called Iain McDonald stands at a podium and says
“I personally met the angels I can say this even though they appeared normal you could sense a huge power beneath their mundane bodies. A force to be reckoned with one of such immensity my superiors were slightly afraid of them. I stand here to not mourn their deaths though I stand here to celebrate their live. And what a life they led. Two of them swam in magma while each and everyone went in to outer space. Thy captured terrorists and took rocket propelled grenades to the chests. They each lived as heroes and died as heroes too… I wish I could say more but I can not,” at that he stepped down and then ten beams of light shone on each coffin and then all the angels floated over the coffins. The smallest says
“I am Sapphire hellfer I was aged thirteen. I am now an angel,”
The three second youngest spoke up next
“We were known by our parents as the angelic trio. We were the best of friends,” the tallest of the angelic trio says
“I am Kie Hellfer. I was aged sixteen I am now an angel,” The shorter boy says
“I am Anthony Hellfer. I was aged sixteen. I am now an angel,” the girl says
“I am Amber Howard. I was aged sixteen. I am now an angel,” the next person says
“I am Kristin Hellfer. I was aged thirty three. I am an angel,” the next says
“I am Mark Hellfer. I was aged thirty three. I am now an angel. The next says
“I am Danielle Hellfer I was aged thirty six. I am now an angel,” the next says
“I am Damien hellfer. I was aged thirty eight. I am an angel,” the next says
“I am Steven Howard. I was aged forty. I am now an angel, the final one says
“I am Natalie Howard. I was forty. I am now an angel. Do not mourn for us as we will all ways be with you. Every time you see an angel statue know this. We are still looking out for you and under our eyes. No true harm will come to you,” the angels each slowly fade out and a beam of light shines down on the statue. Each and every person has tears running down their faces. As the story of the fallen angels finally ends.
