Prologue: Alma Solitario

"Hey," Venganza grunted, poking his friend, "Are you even paying attention?" Still nothing, "For the love of God, Solitario! Listen to me!" He kicked his trenchcoat-wearing friend in the ribs.1

"Ah! What, fucker?" Solitario questioned, taking the ear bud out of his ear and putting his CD player on pause.2

Venganza just sighed and put his hand over his face, "I knew it."3

"Knew what?"4

"That you are much too young...I should've never brought you along."5

"Hey, man, you got to let some tension off sometimes. I'm stressed. I need my music in a time like this."6

Venganza sighed again and walkied off to the other corner of the room.7

"What did you want to tell me?" Solitario inquired.8

"It's not even imprtant anymore," his friends groaned.9

Solitario shrugged and hit play on the CD player. 10

Solitario, commonly reffered to as Alma Solitario, was a skinny 21 year old man from New Mexico. His hair fell down around his eyes in long black strands and his eyes gleamed a piercing ice blue. 11

His friend, Venganza Odiosa, was a bit older at 27 years. He wore black mostly, like Solitario, but this man had black in his soul as well. His vengeful green eyes peared out from behind his long brown hair. He too, lived in New Mexico all his life.12

So what brought Solitario and Venganza to this tiny town on the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico?13

Murder, of course. What else could possibly bring two friends closer than the killing of a top mob boss's daughter? 14
