Taryn was 5”4 with short brown hair. She had pale skin which had turned slightly grey due to smoking. She was skinny and mainly, she was a blue jeans and tshirts sort of girl. She enjoyed getting stupendously drunk. And would take any kind of drug given to her. 1
Deacon was her boyfriend. He was 6”7 with short black hair. He smoked and drank. He was strictly a tight jeans and tshirts kinda guy. He too enjoyed taking drugs and going out and getting wasted. 2

The persistent knocking at the front door led Taryn to let out a strangled scream and yanked it open, scowling. Her eyes widened and she shoved her shaking hands behind her back. A police officer stood at the door, looking uncertainly at her. 4
“C-can I help you?” Taryn stumbled, keeping the door half closed.5
“Taryn! Tell who ever it is to get the fuck outta here!” Deacon shouted at her.6
“Deacon! SHUT UP!” she shouted back angrily. She looked apologetically at the officer. They didn’t look amused. “So, officer, what’s wrong?” she said, trying to control her body. It was trembling slightly and her nose was running. Taryn knew her eyes were bloodshot and she tried to look down.7
“Ma’am, can we come in?” the police officer said. Taryn looked around hesitantly. 8
“Now’s not…it isn’t really a good time” she said slowly. 9
“Let me rephrase that – Let me in. Please” he said, slightly aggressively. Taryn bit her lip, racking her brain for an idea. Nothing came to her. 10
“Can I…go tell my boyfriend to put some clothes on?” she said quickly. The policeman nodded and she closed the door. She ran into the living room. “The fucking police are here? What are we going to fucking do?” she hissed, jumping around. 11
“WHAT?” Deacon said, sitting up straight. “Who the fuck called them? Shit..shit shit shit” he muttered, holding his head in his hands, pacing the room. 12
“We have to get rid of everything!” she whispered, running upstairs. She pushed the contents of the bathroom side into the bin and covered it with the contents of the bin in the bedroom. She tugged at her hair and ran out to meet Deacon. “Clear?” she muttered and he nodded. 13
Deacon opened the door to the knocking of the officers. He looked a state. “Sorry” he mumbled, stepping back when Taryn pushed in front.14
“He couldn’t find any clothes. Do you want to come in?” she said quickly, shoving Deacon into the wall as she opened the door wider. The officer nodded and stepped into the messy apartment. There were clothes and magazines over the floor. The place looked like a pigsty. 15
“So what’s this about?” Deacon said, squaring his shoulder. The officer didn’t look threatened and Taryn sat on the couch. Deacon followed her league. 16
“We have had complaints about arguments.” He held his hand up when Deacon tried to interrupt. “We also have the suspicion that illegal substances have been taken in this premises” 17
Taryn stared at him with an open mouth. Then burst into laughter. “Mate, I think you’ll find that you’ve been wrongly informed…” she giggled, choking on her own laughter. The officer signalled at the open door and more police men entered the house. He gestured upstairs and they started searching the house. 18
“Taryn Davies and Deacon McKavern, you are both under arrest for the use of illegal substances. You do not have to say anything but anything you do say may be used as evidence later in court” 19
Taryn started at him, open-mouthed. Deacon had a confused frown on his face. The officer hand-cuffed them both and they were led to separate cars. 20
“Taryn you BITCH!” Deacon screamed after her. She tried to raise her hand for the one fingered salute but the officer tugged her away.21
“Fuck off!” she yelled after him.

Author notes
This is just the beginning of a story. Sorry if it's confusing, but it's really weirdly written. Basically, it starts with the arrest and ends with how they meet. It's sorta written backwards. Which I know is annoying and confusing. But it's also fun!! So please tell me what you think...honest critisism is helpful!!
