It was this very moment when I decided for myself what I should do. Intent on accepting who I was, I stood slowly, a dull ache in my back caused to me to pause, but I persisted and rose. I leaned over and picked up Chiviss' sword, it still had blood on the blade. I merely shrugged, it would do its job just the same.
Glancing up and across the room, My mind had been made up, I wasn't about to let the only man I've ever loved get killed for my sake.
I am the Silvedren. 1
"Sinava, what are you doing?" Orin placed a hand on my shoulder, but I did not turn around.
"I am merely accepting the facts, Orin." I took a deep breath and brushed his hand off of my shoulder, "And, you must do the same."2
Before he could reply, his eyes drifted downwards to the sword in my hand, it took him but a moment to realize that I was going to make a stand.
"No," he begged me, "You can't do this, Sinava. He will surely kill you!"
I didn't reply, my mind was too busy to be distracted by his words.
I had to fight. Calculating my strength and my wounds, I knew that I would have a slim chance of surviving, but then, what was the purpose of my existance if it were not to at least TRY and destroy Lucifer. 3
I stepped away from Orin, but a wrench in my gut told me to I had to say something, I turned my head, "Orin?" I asked in a small voice.
"Yes, Sinava?" He was crying openly, the blood on his head mixing with the tears from his eyes.
The very sight of him caused me to tremble, he was so beautiful to me, I loved him with my entire being.
"I love you, Orin."4
His head fell for a second and he took a deep breath, "I love you too, Sinava." He looked up at me and in that moment, when our eyes connected, I knew he had forgiven me.
He had accepted me. 5
I smiled, he smiled back at me and then I turned my back to him and faced Lucifer.6
