The sun was soon to set and that meant only one thing: the party was about to begin! Usually, this would be the height of excitement for everyone, including the staff, but the one thing that was on Carolyn's mind was anything but excitement. The guests are seated; the food is ready to serve; the music ready to play; but the most crucial element was missing! The guest of honor was nowhere to be seen! Carolyn, herself, directed her to her quarters to prep up, but she no longer rests there! Where could she be!? 25
The air was filled with a kalydescope of fresh aromas: the suculant food prepped and waiting to be served; the floral escences from the scented candles littered about the ballroom; and the occasional whiff of overly expensive perfume from the overly wealthy guests gathered. Not one of the soothing fragrances calmed Carolyn's nerves even in the least. 26
Nearly five minutes before she is supposed to make her appearance. Where on this Earth could she be!? It doesn't make any sense! Why would she be late to her own birthday party that she planned!? 27
"Dah! I can't take this anymore! Doesn't she understand the utmost importance of punctuality!? Why must she do this to me!?" 28
Unfortunately, Carolyn wasn't exactly discreet about this little outburst. All of the guests stared at her, puzzled as to why she interupted their conversations with such a loud gesture. Carolyn found herself in a very awkward position. She decided to just regain her compusre and continue on with her duties. 29
