To most people I'm very ordinary. They don't look twice. But when they get to know me, to look again, to see who I am, they turn cruel.1
Life is hard, but many people make others lives even harder. 2
I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. That is who I am, the very epitome of my being. And for that very reason many people take an instant dislike to me. They are prejudiced against my beliefs. It doesn't matter to them that I'm a good person, that I do my best to always do the right thing. It only matters that because of my religion, I am not equal, that I'm fair play for ridicule.3
So many people today are prejudiced against one sort of people or another.4
I have a friend, Jon. He's one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet. He's probably the only guy who'd ever ask you if he could dunk you or pull your hair. He's considerate and completely trustworthy. But so many people only see his Jewish heritage, and turn away before they see his heart. 5
My cousin's having a baby. The father is of Hispanic descent. My grandfather refuses to acknowledge that he could be a good guy. He thinks that Hispanics are stealing "our jobs." Don't they deserve to be able to support their families, too?6
One of my best friends is an African American. I wouldn't dare bring her to my school. The last African American that went there was pushed down the steps. 7
Just because somehow has a different color skin does not make them less a human. Just because someone doesn't believe the same way you do does not give you leave to make their lives miserable. 8
Many people today have lost their love, and replaced it with hate. But the only way to truly be happy is by showing love. Hate will only reap pain and suffering.9

Thanks so much.. I didn't say anything in here about Muslims, many because I don't personally know any, but they suffer from cruelty just as much, if not more so than the rest of us. I really appreciated you taking the time to comment.

I definitely agree with you. How do one's religious views or skin colors determine what you are like on the inside? Muslims today are also unfairly treated, simply because a group of Muslims attacked us on 9/11. It's ridiculous. There are terrorists of every nationality...there are white terrorists, black terrorists, hispanic terrorists...it's pure stupidity to think that all Muslims are like that. When it boils down to it, there are evil people of every race, whites and blacks and muslims, and that skin color doesn't determine what you are actually like. Not ever Muslim are like thos that attacked us on 9/11, and not many people care to try and understand their religious views. Actually, for some reason I'd be interested in learning about their culture and their beliefs, though that is not what makes them seperate as people. Everyone has their own personality and their own traits and likes and dislikes. Skin color is not what makes us have a certain personality. It's the heart, though some people have no chance. Some people are raised in evil households with evil parents, and that's all they know. You're article, or whatever you want to call it, was definitely a very well-expressed one. Good job!

very good
True, people need to start looking at the inside of others and ignore all other features -
hey hun, this is sadly way too true. People classify themselves like creatures and it's totally screwed up. I've always tried to not judge anybody, and especially not by religion or race or whatever. There is hope though, things are getting a lot better than they once were, be thankful for that.
I think the only thing we can do is teach by example. Refuse to judge those you don't know, and eventually maybe the world will more or less figure it out lol. Have hope hun. And remember, those who judge you like that don't deserve to know you. Keep up the good work, this was good.
