Guilty Pleasures Season One : Episode Two "Sexual" Part 9

Leslinia walked up to Greg Yolen's door and rang the doorbell. He soon answered.1

Greg: Leslinia? What are you doing here? I thought we discussed that we were going to take a permanent leave from each other. 2

Leslinia: I know, and I'm sorry to intrude. Can I please come in? Stacie's not here, is she?3

Greg: No, she's not. But really, Leslinia. We just broke up a few hours ago. I really think we need our space from each other.4

Leslinia: I completely agree. Can I come in?5

Greg reluctantly let her in. Leslinia walked into the small apartment and sat on the couch. 6

Leslinia: When you last saw me, on my lunch break earlier today, I was not happy about your decision. I was a basket-case to be exact. But today, when a mare had her baby, I came to realize how precious life is and how I don't need to cry over spilled milk. Yes, you were the man I had planned to spend my life with; and yes, I would have done anything for you; and yes, I didn't feel I could go on living if I didn't have you. But, in the last few hours so much has gone through my mind, and when I think of you and Stacie together, I realize that she is so much more right for you than I could ever be. 7

Greg: Leslinia, I...8

Leslinia: Wait! Please Greg, let me just finish. I just want to say that I am giving you two my blessing. And as a token of my affection for all that you have taught me, I spent a part of my paycheck today to rent a boat for you and Stacie to sail around in tomorrow. I know it's a last minute thing, but what a romantic way for you two to start the beginning of a new relationship; and a way for me to let go, using a sail boat as a metaphor.9

Greg: Leslinia, I can't accept this kind of gift. I feel awful that I wasn't honest with you before.10

Leslinia: Hush! You don't have to say another word. I have all the itinerary and needed information here. If you truly want to make me happy you will go on this trip tomorrow. This is therapy for me to let you go.11

Greg: But how? You have no one to share your life with?12

Leslinia was taken aback. She fought back tears, and lied.13

Leslinia: That's not true. The owner of the mare asked me out tonight. We definitely bonded as he helped me birth that colt. I really think I have found the man of my dreams, Greg. Now we can both be happy.14

Greg: Then you two should go on the boat ride.15

Leslinia: If everything works out on our date tonight, we will. But tomorrow, is for you. Plus, I want to sail on a different lake with uh...um...Jake. He has certain lakes that he likes and it isn't Docker Bay, where you two will be at tomorrow.16

Greg: I really don't know what to say.17

Leslinia: Thank you would be nice. I hate to leave, but I do need to get home. I've been running errands since I got off work today and I need to talk to John and make plans for tonight.18

Greg: Who's John?19

Leslinia: My boyfriend.20

Greg: I thought you said his name was Jake?21

Leslinia: Huh? Oh right! Well he goes by both. I usually call him John Jake but sometimes I call him one or the other. Thanks for clearing up that confusion. I really should go now. I'll see around. Have a wonderful time tomorrow!22

Greg: Uh, okay, I will. Thank you Leslinia.23

Leslinia left the house smiling. She hated that she had to lie about a new boyfriend and that she was happy for Greg. But she needed Greg to realize that she had moved on, and a new boyfriend was the only believable option. Now she just had a few more details to go over to make sure that tomorrow would end up being a blast! Literally!
