Bullying is not acceptable in school!

Tom was being bullied because he had a different culture, he had to do what they said, when they said; or else he would be beaten to the ground. His confidence and his work, was taking a slippery slope downhill, if ever he had a mark on him; his parents asked what it was he would just simply reply, I fell and hurt myself as his legs were hurting today. He could hardly say anything else could he?1

His teachers have noticed his temper, change and asked why he was failing all his exams, when he was such a bright child. Tom just did a stupid shrug and walked off. He felt humiliated, He was going down to the bottom set, just because of the bully; why can’t people accept him for who he is? Tom had to find away to stick up to this bully.2

Tom's parents noticed he was getting depressed. So he said in anger, not meaning a word he said; "I hate you" and stormed out of the door. This was where he came face to face with one of the bullies. He was picking on a little child, with his anger building up to boiling point he punched him straight in the mouth and to his amazement he ran off crying.3

The next day his gang come looking for him as; he lied and said that he called them all names for example Beefy Bert. Tom got a punch right on his mouth; then the bell went, they promised to get him after school at 3:15 tonight. The teacher noticed Tom was hurt, Tom said it was nothing; so he went away, luckily.4

Nevertheless 3:15 soon came; luckily they had a detention so they could not come after him. Tom legged it all the way home, no one was home for at least another five minutes; so he went straight to bed as he was worn out, and he did not want his parents to noticed the cut straight across his forehead. Tom's parents would have reacted fast as they cared for him.5

The next day he took the long route to school and arrived late. On the way home they were there waiting to get him, so he took them on, he kicked one and punched one and ran for his life. Tom is not really a person who believes in fighting, however he has to protect himself. Tomorrow he would confront the bullies, if they did not leave him alone then Tom would have to take the problem further, Tom intended to let the bullies know that.6

So the following day Tom told them and they laughed, they then disappeared; Tom thought that he had shown them good and proper. Nevertheless when he got into class he found out that the head teacher wanted a word with him; he and the head teacher has always got along. The bullies had told her that he was beating them up. So after school he went and explained to the head teacher. Who replied to Tom that she already knew as she has had past experiences with these other boys in the past? Tom explained to the head teacher what had really happened and she said "I will sort the problem out first thing in the morning; make sure you leave early to make sure, they will not beat you up then."7

So the very next day Tom was first in the school and first in her office. The bullies would be there shortly. The bullies came sooner than Tom had expected; the head teacher listened to all of their stories and told us all to leave each other alone. Of course the bullies were going to come after him, so Tom spoke to the head teacher, to see if she would watch. She replied "yes."8

What should happen? Two guesses they got Tom after school, and the head teacher saw and came out and told the bullies off. Since this day on Tom's life has been brilliant!9

Thank you for writing this story and posting it here. Bullying is a real problem in schools, and it's good to see people giving serious thought to it, and writing about it. It can take a lot of courage to write about this stuff, and you deserve praise for having that courage and writing. It's good to see that Tom did the intelligent thing, and the the teacher was fair and fixed the problem. Keep writing, you have talent.

    Very good!

This is a very good story. Is this you?Whoever it is,he's so lucky that the teacher was fair and beleived him.Best of all,she took action on his behalf.I was mobbed by a bunch of bullies when I was in 6th grade.Every night the crowd that followed me grew bigger and bigger.I won't go into it right now, because it's a looong story! The next year,I attended a private{Catholic}school. It was MUCH better. My daughter got ganged up on in 6th grade,as well.I had to remove her, because the school wouldn't do anything to protect her,and the violence was escalating. This is a REAL problem in public schools. You wrote a very good story!
