Narrator: Enters SL. Scene takes place inside a young boy’s bedroom.3
Children. Those innocent years. Little Jacob, he couldn’t possibly be more than eleven or twelve. Ah, just look at him there, (motions toward a boy SR) building magnificent creations with those Legos of his. That shaggy-haired boy with the glasses and so much to offer in this world. Yet, he sits alone in the corner building, always building. Why so alone at such an age? Let’s go further back, into his past.4
Exits SL. Jess enters SR with a bottle of rum in one hand and a joint in her other. She’s followed by Bobby.5
Jess: Taking a swig and laughing in a drunken manner. Bobby, stop that. Get your hands off me. You already screwed me up enough. Rubs her stomach. So what do you think? Is it a boy or a girl?6
Bobby: Who cares? We’re not keeping it are we? Gimmie some of that. Takes the joint from her hand.7
Jess: No, no, of course not. Who’d want a screaming little b-st-rd to haul around anyhow?8
Bobby: Taking a puff. Then why’d you ask?9
Jess: Swallows down rum. Being stupid I guess. Alright, but there’s no way in hell my parents will let me get an abortion.10
Bobby: So have it. If they want it so bad, give it to them once you’re done with it.11
Jess: Yeah, I guess I could do that. Takes another swig.12
Bobby: You’re not thinking of keeping it are you? ‘Cause you know I couldn’t stay with you if you did. It was a stupid mistake, it won’t happen again. I’ll make sure we’re safer next time.13
Jess: No, no. I just don’t think my parents would keep it.14
Bobby: Well then mine will. They’ll have to, or I’ll threaten to leave. They’ve been scared of my leavin’ for years. They’ll do just about anything as long as I say I’m staying. Puffs.15
Jess: You sure?16
Bobby: Yeah baby, don’t worry about it.17
Jess: Kay, let’s go tell them.18
Bobby: Yeah sure, whatever. Let’s go.19

Narrator: And that’s exactly what they did. Little Jacob was born one spring morning while his mother, disregarding his health, was bloated with pot. Why, as soon as he took his first breath, he was shoved over to his grandparents who now became his legal guardians. So now, he plays by himself, building dreams day and night, but we’ll get back to that later. See, Jacob wasn’t the only one with a troubled youth. 21
Lights fade.22
Scene changes to an open yard during a spring afternoon. A girl of nine creates chalk-drawn figures into a sidewalk.23
Narrator: Now here’s Miehly. She’s small, but she’s a vicious little thing. Laughing. She wasn’t always that way though. No no, this girl was all smiles and flowers. She never had a reason to cry, or a reason to scream and pout. She was a fighter, still is. But something changed her one day. Something fractured her spirit. Why that girl…that girl has a mouth to her, always talking and talking and…well…it takes some strength to keep her quiet. It’s all in good fun really; but what no one knows is that, she doesn’t really say much at all. That is to say, that little girl in the braids over there…24
Points in Miehly’s direction. Drop Light focuses on the girl.25
…makes out to be dumber than she really is. See, people tend to disregard children, because they’re small, quiet, and well, because they tend to keep to themselves. However, no one keeps in mind that these children still have eyes, they still have ears, and they still have full capabilities of understanding what’s going on around them. All this while, as chaos raged between her family, she was listening. She was watching. She observed every action, every word, every lie, and every truth. It’s a wonder she kept it to herself. Here, let’s take a look.26
Exits SL. Miehly is heard humming before a loud crash sounds. She drops the chalk and jumps back slapping her hands over her ears and squeezing her eyes shut.27
Miehly: Screaming in a panicked voice. No, no, no! I can’t hear you! No, no, no!28
Another crash is heard along with several screams, voices, yelling at each other. Her family. Close enough to hear now.29
Nikolas: You’re not going anywhere! Who the hell do you think you are?! You’re seventeen, and you’re my son! You will listen to me and you will do whatever the hell I tell you to do!30
Brian: Damn, I’m just going out to meet up with someone! Don't have a cow, i'll be back soon.31
Nikolas: What do you mean you'll be back soon?! I said you're staying here and-32
Brian: Look! I'll be back when I'm back ok?! Get off my case! Exits SL. Slams door behind him.

Author notes
when i put this in the italics didn't work out so it's a bit hard to discern the actions from the words. I don't know how to fix that so...sorry. Oh and it's nowhere near finished, just started it and needed a storage place online...so...enjoy?
Please tell me what you think

Nice
Yeah, the big thing was finding the actions...^_^ I either put them in [...] or ~...~
This is good so far. Though it's a nice touch, I don't know how effective it is to add Stage direction at this point. Still, the script is good and the characters are well developed-- I particularly like the detail in Jess.
Good job!beginning: 4, language: 5, plot: 3, overall: 7, ending: 3, dialog: 3, characters: 4.
