Epilogue
“Well here you are.” Udrea sighed as the remaining humans lined up before the portal home. “It seems one of your own came here and you weren’t aware of it. She should be here any minute.” Udrea told them. Seconds later Ashley worn and ragged walked through the trees to Elizabeth.
“My poor Elizabeth, it looks like love has left you bleeding and scarred. You’ve been touched by true love.” Ashley said as she hugged a weeping Elizabeth.
“It’s more like I was slapped in the face and punched in the stomach.” Elizabeth whispered as if too much sound would bring more pain.
“Udrea, I’m sorry about your brother.” David attempted to console.
“Thank you. Now I think you should head home.” Udrea stated her body stiffening. The remaining humans with a cart of coffins walked back through the portal, home.
“They’re back.” a scout called through a walkie-talkie to the base. “It appears we have several dead.”
David pushed past him and sprinted for town, “Alison. Alison” he shouted.
Sandrah and Cheryl looked at him with surprise. “Let’s go get a drink.” Cheryl suggested to Sandrah.
Alison thinking she heard David pulled herself off the couch, “Stupid stomach.” She grumbled as she opened the door. “David? Oh thank God.” she cried as David wrapped his arms around her.
“Your pregnant.” he exclaimed.
“Oh yeah, it’s yours. I think it’s a boy. That’s okay right.” she said fearfully.
“It’s perfect.” he said and then kissed her long and hard, “I’m home!”
Miranda and Eric walked arm in arm past David and Alison suffocating each other. They watched him pull away and smile at them. “I’m gonna be a Dad. We’re engaged.” he shouted. They smiled and waved. They walked down the block Miranda paused and looked at him, “We should get married.” she stated.
“Alright.” he responded and drew her in for a kiss.1

“Holy shit! Make it stop” Trebajin begged. Her golden hair was greasy and her forehead was drenched with sweat.
“This is what you get for using a fertility spell. You must suffer an inconceivably painful birth. Now suck it up and push.” Alexis commanded. She and a midwife were the only one’s there for Trebajin giving birth to her daughter.
“One more big push.” the midwife told Trebajin.
“Ooohhhh.” she screamed. Alexis took the wriggling infant from the midwife and washed the blood from it.
“What will you name her?” the midwife asked as she pulled away the bloodied sheets.
“I don’t care what she is called. You can have her aren’t you infertile. On the other hand, you can give her up for the sacrifice she has completed her job. I am now queen.” Trebajin said.
“No you should keep your daughter.” the midwife refused.
“Okay whatever you want. I’ll have her trained to be a lady of the court.” Trebajin sighed as she washed her face with the bowl of water the midwife brought her.
“Ma’m, I think Trebajin and I need to speak alone would you take young Kashui with you.” Alexis told the woman.
“Certainly.” she agreed and left with the baby.
“Kashui? Doesn’t that mean destined to godliness?” Trebajin questioned Alexis who was bent over a chocolate leather case.
“Yes it does.” she answered.
“Did you have a vision of her future?” Trebajin asked as she rose from the bed and peeled off her sweat-drenched clothes.
“Yes, I saw yours to.” Alexis whispered as she lifted her glaive from the case.
Trebajin turned and looked at her little sister. “Alexis what are you doing? I’m Queen and I’m your sister.” Trebajin screeched.
“I am ensuring your daughter and your kingdom the best future.” Alexis responded as she brought the glaive down on Trebajin, cowering in a corner. Blood spattered the silver and gold wrought mirror.
“I will make that child a goddess. We will be patient and when she is ready she will take over everything and break down the walls of the realms.” Alexis told Trebajin’s deformed body. 3
