Jim Pig Goes Ice Skating

Once upon a time, in a little cave near Farmer Brown's farm, lived Jim Pig and his Mamma. But in the big tree, lived Old Mr. Hawk. It was snowing, ponds were frozen, and Mr. Hawk was double. Frozen, and hungry. He was sitting in his tree waiting for a pig.
"Mamma? May I go ice skating on Farmer Brown's pond?"
"Yes, but now, Jim, be careful, cause Old Mr. Hawk might be waitin' for ya."
"Yes, Mamma."
So, Jim went outside and began to skate. But Old Mr. Hawk saw him! He went in circles, and circles, and circles. At about that time, Jim Pig saw him and he took off his skates and left them on the ground. He started running, faster, and faster. He knew he had to get to the cave, or he'd be dead meat! (literally) By then, Mr. Hawk was getting lower and lower. Low enough to catch him! He stuck out his claw, and he stuck ou t the other claw. Mamma saw them, and oh, she got that broom stick of hers, and wacked Old Mr. Hawk. Jim Pig was safe!
"That should teach you a lesson, young man!" She said shaking her head, and waving her fist at Mr. Hawk that lie there on the ground. Jim thanked Mamma, and promised he would be more carefull next time. 1
