Where to Stay

I turned & walked toward the dock. As I sailed my eyes across the sea I caught sight of a mystery. "I wonder how long I will wonder." I thought this as I stood still. I stood still as I thought this.
The wind picked up so I picked up my bag and headed home. It was a long trip but a trip worth taking. I went into my closet & put another memento into a box of memories. I kept that box in case I forgot everything.
In my bedroom there was an alarming sound, the sound telling me to wake up & get out of town. Under my forward footsteps were a raging past. The morning was cold so I held my coat fast. Out of my open window was a falling screen. "I want nothing to be in the way of my future & me."
Out on the street the world was in a whirl. I went & bought some flowers for an imaginary girl. Today all my money was equal to what I've gained.
I wonder how long I will wonder. I wonder how long this shall be. Another sun is setting over then going down on me. Tonight I walked away never to be seen again but instead to see the sea and spend life with a friend. No matter if big city or small town happiness and where I'll find it is with my friends all around.
