One day a tree frog jumped onto a green leaf and turned green. Then he jumped onto a tree and turned brown. When it jumped onto the yellow sand, the tree frog turned yellow.1
The tree frog found a bug. It ate the bug. When the frog had something to eat, it turned sparkling gray. When it didn't have something to eat it turned dull and cold and gray.2
Then it saw a zoo. Look at how many animals there were! There are thousands and thousands and thousands of animals at the zoo.3
Then the tree frog saw an elephant at the zoo. So the tree frog wanted to be an elephant and his wish came true. So it saw a walrus and wanted to be a walrus. Sot it's wish came true.4
Next it saw a polar bear. It wanted to be a polar bear. And it's wish came true. 5
And it saw a monkey and it wanted to be a monkey. It's wish came true. It saw a tiger and wanted to be a tiger. And it's wish came true.6
And a bug passed by and it wanted to be a tree frog again. It wanted to be it's self again and it's wish came true. It caught the fly.7
The end.8

Author notes
I wrote this story when I was in 1st grade. I have pictures to go along with each paragraph in this little book I made back then. I might go back and decide to rewrite this story to see how much better I can do now.
I hope you enjoyed this little memory from the past.

Awwwws!
I remember when I wrote the little books in first grade! Mine were often frightening...I was quite hte morbid child. T_T But I still have fond memories of the things I wrote xD -
Wow. That's actually pretty good for a first grader, if you ask me. I like how it never stopped, and just always had one more little thing to say. Children's books should be written by children =D
-
very simple but also does say somthing about dissatisfaction, there is something about stories written by young children that always makes me smile.
beginning: 3, language: 3, plot: 4, ending: 3, characters: 3.

this is so cute! I love reading kids stories, they have so cute and simplistic!

Awwww! This is funny and cute! I like how there is no repitition of phrases in the 1st para. Most 10th graders wold have made it all one sentence, so good work to your fist-grade self
-
I'm glad you mentioned that it was something written while you were younger - the simplicity of the story was sort of unbelieveable if you had written it only recently. Cute little story.

This brightened my mood. You were amaising with words as a child!
What a write!
