There was this girl named Prisell. Prisell was seventeen and addicted to marijuana, meth, and alcohol. At this time, she thought that that her life was wothless and tried killing herself by overdosing on pills. Both of her parents, whom were drug addicts were no longer involved in her life.1

One day, after hearing her grandfather's voice tell her not to wind up like her parents, Prisell realized that it was time for her to stop using drugs and grow up. She was seventeen. At first, she tried attending outpatient treatment for her drug addiction, but after a while, she thought the place was more triggering than helpful. She also attended Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Prisell was also suicidal and lived with her legal guardians. They were not related to her by blood. 2

Prisell attended a continuation school due to being out of school for two years, which kind of made her recovery difficult because the majority of people there used drugs. There were times that Prisell gave up on herself because she felt that nobody believed in her. 3

One night at a NA meeting, she met a guy that would turn her life around. When she was talking to him, she instantly felt a connection with him, which was something she had longed for because her legal guardians ignored her except when social workers or friends or family were around. After awhile, Prisell started to have an attraction for this man. She was seventeen and he was thirty-six. When her legal guardians met the man, they thought he was her NA sponsor, but in reality they had a forbidden, yet passionate love.4
