Keeping You a Secret:The Missing Chapter

Cece looks through the crack from her locker watching as Holland grabs her things from hers. She sees Holland’s boyfriend, Seth, come up behind her and give her a big kiss. They start to talk.

1

“I wish I could build up the courage to talk to her.” Cece said to herself. She started to think about how her life was before she transferred over here from Washington Central to South Glenn. A tear rolled down her cheek has started to cry. “Pull yourself together Cece,” she told herself, “that’s all over with now. There is no need to worry about that anymore.”

2

She looked back up and realized that they were gone. Damn it! She told herself. She gathered the rest of her things for her first class, shut her locker, and turned to leave.

3

“Hi.” Cece jumped and looked up to see Holland standing next to her. “Oh, I’m sorry did I scare you? I’m Holland Jaeger, student body president. I noticed that you are new here and wanted to let you know that if there was anything you needed to let me know. Are you alright?” Holland hadn't’t realized that Cece looked a bit shocked at the fact that she sort of snuck up on her like that.

4

“Oh, yes, I’m fine. Nice to meet you Holland, I’m Cecile Goddard, but everyone usually calls me Cece. Thanks for letting me know that by the way. The whole thing about you being the student body president and knowing if I need anything or may have a suggestion to talk to you.” Cece was a bit nervous. “Well, I better be off to class now, wouldn't’t want to be late.” And with that Cece left Holland. As she walked off towards the stairs she glanced behind her to see if Holland was still there. She wasn't’t.

5

Cece finally arrived in class, English class that is, she always loved English. She took her usual set towards the back of the room and awaited the teachers’ arrival as she watched the other students pile in. She wandered off for the time being to the moment she had just experienced with Holland. Cece loved every moment of it although she did scare her. She pictured Holland face, so beautiful and light.

6

"Cece are you paying any attention?" The teacher asked.

7

"Oh, yes Mrs. Palmer." Cece returned.

8

"Then what did I just say?" Mrs. Palmer asked.

9

"Uh…" She wasn't sure. "I honestly don't know Mrs. Palmer." She admitted.

10

"Then next time pay attention." She snapped and continued on with her lecture about poetry writing.

11

After class Cece ran down to her locker to gather her things for the next class and to see if Holland was there. She wasn't. She waited a little while to make sure if she would come down. She didn't’t. So she just gathered her things and left for her next class. She was really starting to like Holland. What was it that Holland does in order not to come to her locker? Probably things that is more important then waiting around to see me. Cece thought to herself. She took in a lot of air then exhaled slowly.

12

Time went by fast then lunch finally came. Yes! Cece thought, Maybe I’ll finally get to see her again! She anticipated on that thought while she went in line to get her food. When she came out she scanned the entire cafeteria for her. She wasn't’t there either. She walked through the café and found an empty table to sit at. She ate alone.

13

When lunch was over she went back to her locker to gather her things for the next few classes of the day her next class was art. She loved art because she loved to draw. Again she waited by her locker to see if Holland was going to be there. She finally came. Cece stood hidden by her locker and did a little dance. She stopped and looked through the crack of her locker.

14

“Now is the time go!” She told herself silently. She closed her locker and went up to Holland. “Hi.” She said.

15

“Hi.” Holland replied.

16

“So, what class are you going to next?”

17

“Art, but I only chose that class because I needed another elective to fill my schedule.”

18

“Wow, arts my next class too!”

19

“Cool, I’ll see you there. I need to go talk to people in the student council. See ya.”

20

“Bye.” Cece was kind of crushed that she didn't’t even ask her to walk with her to class. At least I will still be able to see her there. She told herself and she walked off towards art class and waited for Holland’s arrival.
