Chapter 23 1
“Your daughter?” questioned Ashley fear wrapping itself around her.2
“Yes, well, she is technically my daughter, but I disowned her about seven years ago. When she left with the vampires she kidnapped my other daughter who was only one. Her name was Alexis. See I banished Trebajin because she was fooling around in the dark arts she was also aiding the vampires in their quest to get into your realm without having to worry about energy displacement. I don‘t know what drove her this way.” Margajin told Ashley. Ashley relaxed and looked at Margajin “Well, you probably know that your daughter Alexis is a powerful seer. I could feel her power emanating from her when I saw her and her sister in my premonition.” Ashley said. 3
“So, Alexis is well? That is wonderful to hear. I was so worried about her growing up in that heathen environment.” Margajin confided in Ashley. 4
“Listen. I am looking for a way to help my human comrades that have come here on a mission. I know the fates sent me here for a reason, and I would like your help in finding that reason” Ashley requested. 5
“Well, we are working on a spell to weaken the magick of the vampires. We are hoping they will lose their control over the portals. If you want you may be able to help us with that.” Margajin suggested. 6
“It sounds like a good idea to me.” Ashley sighed as she pulled the sheets aside and tried to rise from the cot in which she had been resting. 7
“Now I want you to relax. I’ll bring you something to eat in a bit. Ashley I feel I must warn you, Trebajin although I love her she is a disturbed girl. She viciously killed her own little brother when he tried to stop her from taking my Alexis.” Margajin said as she walked out of the small tent. She paused and looked around herself, taking in the smell of the woods she fixed her skirt and clasped her hands . 8
“Thank you for sending us this bit of hope.” Margajin whispered to the stars. 9
