Chapter IXV

“I can do it.” I said softly, kneeling down in front of Florian

“Jashin… what do you mean you…” Florian started.

I cut him off. “Chiniromenai Spell. I can do it.”

“The forbidden spell? But it’s so powerful, how did you learn to control it?” Florian asked his eyes wide. “I do not even know the incantation.”

“Sire Alacun taught me it, back when I was very young.” I smiled. “But that’s not important, what is important, what is important is that I can bring little Shadow here…” I ruffled Shadow’s pale hair. “Back to life.”

Shadow sat up quickly. “Can you really Jashin-san? Can you?”

“If I get the permission from the elders, yes.”

Shadow beamed and wrapped him arms around Florian’s neck. “Flor…I’ll…I’ll be alive again!” he cried.

Samantha walked up to me as I stood up, and wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug.

The lavender haired vampire looked skeptical. “I’m not sure…”

The young ghost looked up fearfully. “Wh-what do you mean Flor… don’t you want me alive again…?”

Florian smiled sadly. “Of course I do Shai-chan, but it’s a forbidden spell that the Elders don’t approve of. It will be hard to get their permission.”

Trishan and Megina floated quickly back into the room I was surprised I hadn't noticed that the two spirits had left.

“You have to go. “Megina said

“Why?” Samantha asked.

“Because Lord Koto said so.” Said Trishan crossing her pale arms.

Florian stood up and went to pick up Shadow.

“He has to stay.” Trishan and Megina said in unison.

Florian frowned and Shadow clinged to him like it was the end of the world. “Flor…” he whimpered.

“Don’t worry Shadow. We’ll come back for you. I said. Florian backed away from him. I hugged the small boy as he started to cry.

Shadow looked fearfully at Florian. “Flor…?” he asked a little more forcefully.

Florian pulled him close and whispered in his ear. “I’ll come back for you Shai-chan. You know I will.” Shadow started crying.

“Flor…” the boy whimpered. “Please…don’t leave me… I’m scarred…”

The male vampire pulled back and kissed Shadow passionately on the lips. Tears rolled down the spirit’s cheeks as he wrapped his arms around him lover. Florian pulled back. “I’ll be back for you klotaro. I love you.” And with that Florian disappeared and Shadow fell to his knees.

I smiled and helped Shadow back on to the bed. “He’s crying you know.”

Shadow looked at me and let out a choked laugh.

I took Samantha’s hand and turned to leave.

“Jashin?”

I turned back to Shadow. “Yes?”

He took a shaky breath. “Could… could you… tell Flor that I love him?”

I smiled. “Of course.”

“Thank you!” he exclaimed.

I took Samantha in my arms and disappeared.
