Rain

She looked out the window into the nothingness of the night. She remembered the letter she wrote to Corey earlier1

Hey Corey!2

i miss you! i can't believe you're gone! you've been my best friend for ever man! it's gonna be hard here without you. but we're gonna be strong just for you buddy.i remember when we played soccer together. you were always better than me. at least i know where you are and that you're not hurting anymore.3

I've gotten better at soccer just for you buddy. I'll go out and play for ya sometime. maybe I'll dance in the rain like we used to. or play soccer in the rain. i loved those practices. we would come back SOAKING wet... Just promise me one thing -- that you'll be there with me.4

well Buddy, i gotta go! Tell Nick hi for me. and Jaydin that i love him. make sure all of them know that.5

she put her letter in an envelope and started off toward the cemetery. she drove by Corey's wreck site and blew him a kiss. then she thought of something. "smoke rises faster than dirt". She stopped at the place where he wrecked.she sat in front of his cross and prayed for peace within herself and then grabbed the envelope, and her lighter. she watched as the paper burnt away and the smoke rose into the sky.8

she went home and made dinner for herself. She went and sat on the window sill. 20 minutes later she was still sitting there. she heard a clap of thunder and looked into the sky just in time to see a flash of lightening then it started raining lightly.9

Ash just grinned 'don't worry' she promised 'i'll never forget.10
