Freshman Year Ch 1-3

My name is Rebecca, I just turned fourteen. I am now a freshman at River Valley High School. My first day of my freshman year was great. My sister Julia, who is a senior was there to help me out, showing me where all of my classes were, introduced me to her group of friends, and told me who to stay away from and all that. 1

One of the guys in Julia's group, Ethan could not keep his eyes off of me. Ethan is a junior and so far he is very nice. He's interested in me, I think, but I have my eye on Tyler. Tyler is a junior as well and he has a bad boy image, but as I talked to him and got to know him, he showed that he has a good heart and is very caring. 2

The first day was only half a day. After we went to our classes and got the paperwork that needed to be filled out, I met up with Tyler and Ethan outside at the oak tree. "So what are the plans for the rest of the day," I asked. "Well, Rebecca, we'll probably go to the movies then to Tony's," Tyler said. "Is that the hangout," I asked. Ethan and Tyler laughed at me and said, "Yes." I blushed and kept my mouth shut for a minute. I made myself look like an idiot in front of Tyler!!!3

Julia came out with Jeff, her boyfriend of three months. They had already made plans for the rest of the day, so Julia made Tyler and Ethan in charge of me. "Get her home around seven, so that mom doesn't have a fit," Julia said. "Yes, ma'am," Ethan said. Jeff looked at Ethan and said, "You know you don't have to call her ma'am." Ethan smiled but didn't say anything. Julia pulled me off to the side to talk to me for a minute.4

"Rebecca, I'm trusting you with Tyler and Ethan. Don't do anything stupid. Its only your freshman year, you cannot afford to screw up," Julia said. "I think I have feelings for Tyler," I admitted. "Well, Tyler's a good guy, but don't get talked into something you don't want any part of. You know mine and Jeff's cellular phone numbers, use them if needed," Julia said. I gave Julia hug and then Tyler looked at Ethan and I and asked, "Well are we going or what?" We went and got in Tyler's car and was on our way to the movies.5

Chapter 26

We went and saw the latest comedy. Oh that was fun. Ethan met up with his brother Eric after the movie and decided to go to the arcade with him and spend the rest of the day with him. "So, Rebecca, I'll call ya tonight," Ethan said. "Alright," I said. "Ty, keep it real," Ethan said. "You know it man, take care," Tyler said cooly as Ethan walked off. "What do you want to do now," I asked. Tyler grinned and said, "Well, how about we just go back to my house and just chill for a little while?" That sounded good to me, so I agreed.7

Tyler's house was so beautiful! It was a big brick house. We went to his room to watch television and talk. I was talking about how I couldn't stand my morning class, when Tyler put his arm around me and kissed me. Oh my! He was my first kiss. After a couple of minutes, he pulled away, and our breathing was unsteady. There was without a doubt a spark between us. We both had felt it. 8

"Rebecca Lynn, I want to take you out on a date this weekend," Tyler said. "And maybe, our friendship can become more." "I would like that," I said quietly. Tyler pulled me into his arms and kissed me again. I ran my fingers through his hair and this time, it took a little bit longer for the both of us to pull away. Whenever we would stop, we'd look into each other's eyes and kiss again. I was a bit scared to be honest. I was afraid of losing myself to him. 9

"Daggone it, I want you to be my girl," Tyler said in between kisses. "Well, I want to be your girl," I said. "Then will you date me," Tyler asked. "Yes," I said. He looked deep into my eyes, as if he didn't believe me. He kissed my forehead and held me tight. 10

Julia called Tyler's cell to check in on us. He told her about us being boyfriend and girlfriend, which she was happy for us. However, I needed to be home at five. "Mom wants to spend time with us today," is what she told Tyler. He understood and took me home since it was around 4:30. 11

I invited Tyler in when we pulled up in the driveway. My brother Randy was sitting on the porch. "What up, Randy," Tyler asked. "Not much. Hey the guys are getting together Thursday for some men's basketball. Interested," Randy asked. "Yea sure, just hit me up with the details later on," Tyler said. "For sure," Randy said.12

Chapter 313

So Tyler left at 5:30. Spent time with mom and Julia. Randy went out with a couple of friends. We just sat around and talked. I thought about Tyler. I couldn't wait for tomorrow to see him. Ethan called the house at seven and was hitting on me until I told him that I was dating Tyler. "That bunny knew that I liked you," Ethan growled. "Well, he asked first and I have feelings for him," I said. "Rebecca, we would be so good together," Ethan protested. I looked up and saw Tyler standing in the doorway. I handed him the phone as Ethan went on about how I should cheat on Tyler. 14

Tyler's eyes narrowed. I shivered knowing that trouble was about to come. "Listen here you bunny," Tyler said. "You better stay the bunny away from my Rebecca or I will hurt you. Go to hell." He hung up the phone and then turned to me and said, "Overlook him." I smiled and nodded. Tyler wrapped his arms around me and whispered, "You're all mine, baby."15
