Death by Avarice: I

"You vile lady of the night." 1

"Why thank you for those kind words.  I adore compliments, you know."2

"That was no compliment, I assure you."  One mortal day had passed since I confirmed my intentions for the male human.  But to guarantee that I wasn't about to be denied my fun, I needed a trustworthy ally to make sure no one else knows what I'm up to.3

This mistress is that trustworthy ally, unfortunately.4

Frowning at my comment, the she-demon gave her full attention to me, her orchid eyes scanning my body like a behemoth would its prey. Â She stopped petting her underling, a lower-class demon in the form of a nude human female with large breasts, exotic colored skin and curvaceous thighs; its existence was only to please and serve beings such as myself.  "What is it you desire, my silent accessory?"5

"A favor," I narrowed my eyes, "one that you must not tell the other five about." She seemed to gleam at the mention of confidential information.  Perhaps I should have never bothered her about this.  "A secret?  Why didn't you say so, my lovely pet?"  Striking her underling with excessive force, she motioned for me to perch on the many cushions that her slave was once resting upon.6

Resting with ease, I momentarily glanced at her body: slim, very exquisite, soft, tempting, and so many other qualities that would appeal to a human. But I'm immune to such foolishness.  "What is you wish to tell me, darling?" She purred and touched my thigh lovingly.  I immediately pulled away from her, not amused.  "Let us skip the pleasantries, I'm in a bit of a hurry."  My rebuttal made her pout, her full lips pursed.  "Very well," sighing, the demonic woman sat back and flexed her smooth feet out in front of her, "what is it?"7

"I need you to distract the others from noticing my absence."  She blinked, eyes swelling with curiosity and uncertainty.  "Absence?  Where are you going, my generous lover?"  I howled in outrage and attempted to smack her for using the word "generous."  I abhor that word, its meaning, and most of all, its origin. 8

She giggled and moved out of my reach, winking at me playfully.  "You know I was jeering you, pet.  Why do you need me to cover for you?  Where are you going?"  I sighed, and leaned back into my normal position.  "I have taken interest in a mortal," I paused to look at her face twist in amazement and, possibly, amusement, then continued, "and I do not want the others to meddle in my affairs.  You should know how to deal with them."9

"Yes...  I do."  Much to my dismay, a look of roguery played upon her face.  "If I do decide to keep this a secret from the others, what do I get out of it?"  Knowing she would play the give-and-take card, I smirked at her.  "What ever you like.  Anything is within my power to give to you."  She crossed one leg over the other.  "Is that so?  Very well, I will do as you ask."  Abruptly, she stood up.  I soon followed.  "Aren't you going to inform me on what you want?"10

The she-devil walked to her underling, tenderly stroking its head. Â The slave purred respectfully, and cautiously rubbed against her; like a mortal cat would its owner.  "I will tell you once you have had your fun with this human," then she looked up at me, her eyes heavy and clear, it's not like you to be interested in the living.  What has captivated you?" Â I frowned at her.  "It is none of your business, you whore."  The underling hissed at me, baring its small yellow fangs.  Hushing the creature, the demon walked to me, her hips swaying melodically.  "This...  should be fun."  She started to stroke my cheek, smirking at me.11

I brushed her claws away from me and headed for the door, obviously annoyed.  "I'm leaving now.  It might be for a while..."  12

"Just go, my pretty boy," smiling, she gently pushed me out the door and into the dark, moist abyss, "I will not displease you." She said her farewell by winking at me.13

It was reassurance.14

"Thank you," I nodded and turned away from her, "I won't forget your help.  But don't let these words fool you; you're just as much of a nuisance as the other five," then I smirked to myself and finished with her name, "Yokubo."  I immediately left after I heard her gasp of shock. 15
