Alive

I am alive!1

I might hate my parents2

We might fight all the time3

But they cant make me hate life4

I am alive!5

I don't have many friends6

I might only have a few7

But that wont stop me from having fun8

I am alive!9

I don't have fancy clothes10

I might shop at Wal Mart11

But that wont make me feel bad about myself12

I am alive!13

I have many enemies14

I might be taunted by them15

But they cant bring me down16

I am alive!17

I get bad grades sometimes18

I might even fail a class 19

But that wont stop me from following my dreams20

    ...Nothing wrong with shopping at Wal Mart though.

    Indeed you are alive! Hey, I'm a lot older than you and I shop at WalMart. Not all of us are made of money and where we shop does not define who we are. Those who disagree (and I once had a girlfriend who fit that description) are just shallow people.

    I like your attitude...you like yourself and that is how it should be!

    Despite all the flaws in life, you still keep a positive stand. That is an excellent beginning to mend all what is wrong
    Life is very precious and we must be thankful for being alive, no matter how hard life seems to be at times. Specially young people, who can see things changing from bad to good in no time, all you need is to give yourself a chance
    Indeed an uplifting poem, which I thank you for.

    Great poem. It is a good reminder to all of us teenagers not to get down about life. WE ARE ALIVE!!! Good job.

    This is such an uplifting poem. It is really nice to see that there is hope, lol. I love the repeat of I am alive, it makes it so much stronger throughout.
