Billy Bear

Billy was a big cuddly bear. Always smiling and happy, and loves to be with loads of children. Because of the way that Billy was, he was taken in by a group of children entertainers and given a home on the understanding that he was really good and looked after the children really well. Billy loved his job and his home as everyone made him always welcome.1

Everyday Billy would play games and sing songs with all the children that was around him. Each child that he saw would go home with a big smile on there face. 2

One morning when Billy got up to start the day, He found that he couldn't smile. Billy was so worried about this, that he didn't go to work. All the children were upset and crying. They wanted there Billy bear.3

A young boy called Luis spent the whole day looking for Billy bear. When he couldn't find him, he sat outside the playroom and let out little tears of sadness. Billy could see this poor little boy from his window and so he watch him for a very long time.4

After a while Billy got up and went out side to the little boy. Luis looked up and smiled at Billy. He smiled so big that he was showing all of his white teeth. 5

"Billy! Your here! I've been looking for you all day. I didn't think that you loved me anymore" Luis sad to Billy in a tearful voice.6

Billy replied7

"I am here my child. I would never leave you. I love you more then what you could ever love me"8

He gave Luis a really big hug that lasted for a very long time. 9

Billy didn't know just how much that he meant to the children and how one day of not being around for them would really upset them. Knowing just how much he meant to all the children, Billy slowly started to smile again.His smile got bigger and bigger. As big as what Luis was holding when he saw Billy.10

Billy was happy again. He picked up Luis and said11

"Come on my sweet child. Lets go and find mummy and daddy. They must be really worried about you."12

Together they went off looking for Luis mum and dad.13

That night Billy laid on his bed and started to think about little Luis. How much sadness just one child could hold for missing him. Billy now knew that he was a big part of every child's life. 14

Because Billy didn't know this, Billy lost his will to smile. This was the missing part in Billy's life and now that it had been filled he was the most happiest bear ever in the world15
