Author notes
FYI fact: I was going through some old story outlines and I found the orignal first chapter of this story-which wasn't written in free verse-and found that Zale's name was Jason. Some people had told me both Zel and Zale's names were confusing because they sounded the same. to clear this up-Zel's name is Denzel-which everyone knows now-and Zale's name is Zalliot.
Though this has nothing to do with this part, I just thought I'd clear this up just in case it was bought to my attention again.

yeah I know what you mean. but since there's pretty much a happy ending, I really wanted these two characters to stay together. The only reason Denzel's mother wants Zale to marry her is one: he did get her daughter pregnant and she expects him to responsiable. Two: her dad is a minister so chances are he's gong to press them to get married. but the characters love each other deeply. so why wouldn't they get married? and I'd like to think that even if Zel had not gotten pregnant, the two of them would wed someday. i want to get married..but seeing my own parents marriage...it looks really scary. lol.

Hehehe I really hate that seemingly only American tradition though, that babies = marrieage. We've practically aborted (excuse the pun... it wasn't intended) that in Britain, I eman, people do get married, but the cohabitation levels are rising seriously. I really don't ever want to get married... hahaxxx
